I'm disappointed. I thought there would be more violence in the story.

I really think it would be great if they would drop the TNA monicker and just go with "Impact Wrestling" or something like that.

I really can't see a casual fan turning on TNA, and then turning it off based on the six sided ring. Maybe based on the crappy booking and annoying announcers, but I really doubt the shape of the ring has any bearing on whether or not most people watch TNA.

Ah, yes...oh wait, no.

Yeah, here we have Charter, mainly because I can get their digital cable package with DVR, along with high speed internet and phone line all on one bill. But yeah, we don't get Sci-Fi, USA, or even CW in HD, so all the WWE-HD hype is pretty meaningless to me.

I think Bud Selig has been a great commissioner. As I've said before, I like both interleague play and the wild card system. 8 teams out of 30 making the playoffs is perfect. I really feel MLB has the best playoff system out of all the major US sports. I don't care about "public perception." The people you usually hear whining about baseball are the types who don't go to any games and don't watch games on TV, so who cares what they think?

Funny, everyone was ripping the idea of this show the other day.

I always thought people ragged on Big Show about his weight a bit two much...yeah, I know he was fairly svelte in his younger days, but the guy is like 7 feet tall...as the injuries accumulate, it's probably fairly hard to stay trim.

I don't remember them really explaining it. All I remember is them showing up on Superstars one day with Slick as their manager.

To add to the NL Central discussion, I really do not think the Reds or Cards will be a huge factor yet this year. I think the Reds are probably a year away from being serious contenders, and the Cards are just in total rebuilding mode at this point (which is ultimately a good thing for that franchise). The Reds could probably finish third in the division, overtaking the Astros, though.

Did anyone else think that Milo guy's "No Sex" (or whatever) song sounded like it could've been some weird early '80s punk tune? I was amused by it.

I do think that if the Brewers falter this season, Yost gets fired, no matter time of the year it is.

I wonder how many WWE fans will actually be able to see RAW in HD next week. I bet it's less than 50% of the total viewership.

I know it's been out for a while, but am I the only one that finds Mario Party 8 a nice little diversion? Maybe it's because it's the first Mario Party game I've ever really played for more than five minutes, but I found it fun to play in a group. The board game aspect is kind of neat.

Hardy really has to win at the Royal Rumble. They should have both guys go into the match banged up, and have it be "Who will kill who dead first?" They can have Hardy win with some sort of shenanigans, and have Orton win it back in a couple weeks, or at No Way Out.

The question is, what will they do with Killings? Go to ECW and feud with Punk? Only problem there is, and I know this is kind of "lowest common denominator" thinking, you've already got Burke and Benjamin on that show. Maybe they could put him on Smackdown, but I have no idea who he could feud with. I just hope they don't stick him in some lame tag team.

I don't know if it's just coincidence, but we put sealant down on the floor of one of our basement rooms (you know, the paint-like stuff with the spackles you throw in it, that you can get at Menards and stuff), and it seemed to really reduce the amount of centipedes in the house. It's not like they hurt anything, though...they actually prey on other bugs and stuff. They certainly look nasty, though.

Oh don't get me wrong, I am all for trading any of the Brewers' excess pitching if it nets a valuable piece. Hell, I'm not opposed to seeing Ben Sheets traded at this point, aside from the fact that he's going into a contract year and will probably pitch out of his mind...or maybe he'll have another freak finger nail injury and once again not contribute. As for Turnbow, as much of a Turnbow fan as I had been, he really did nothing solid in '07 at all.

Well, last year their 8-8 record shocked me, so I figured their young guys would improve enough to get them a couple more wins. I mean, last season I had them figured to win about four games.
