Basically, like I said earlier, assuming Obama wins tonight, I think he's in the clear. He's going to win in South Carolina, and go into Super Tuesday with all the momentum on his side. I really don't see how Hillary can overcome losing three primaries, all in different parts of the country, and go into the next round of primaries looking like a viable presidential candidate.

Awkward moments involving roommates.
Dobbs 3K replied to Giuseppe Zangara's topic in No Holds Barred
8. Roommate comes back into room around midnight with his girlfriend (you're trying to go to bed early as you have to be on the road early to have three wisdom teeth pulled the next day). Girlfriend leaves, roommate proceeds to puke all over the floor. Smells like raspberry. Roommate proceeds to try and climb up to his bunk, falls sideways into the window, glass shatters everywhere. Roommate is in such a stupor that he finishes climbing up to his bunk and passes out. Of course, then he won't wake up for anything. You finally find an RA to take care of the problem (roommate had also taken out a toilet in the hall bathroom), and you finally pass out in the hall lounge. You get about three hours of sleep total before you have to head to the dentist. When you go back to your room before leaving, janitor is there and asks "Did you do this?" Yep, good times. -
Yeah...in the chat last night, we were talking about how much heat Regal was getting, and how it would be nice if he would get one serious semi-main event level run before he retires. I don't think it's in the cards for him, though.

He looks & wrestles like a lazy Stan Hansen, he stole his gimmick from Ted DiBiase and he has done nothing but sully both men's reputations by returning to the ring. Related note, enjoy that raise, whoever convinced Jericho to come back, for your lies have worked to perfection as Y2J goes from title picture to putting over the in-ring return of the least over champion since Diesel. Wow, I disagree with you 100% on all of that, at least in regards to JBL. Yes, there are elements of other gimmicks in JBL, but name one current WWE star you couldn't say the same thing about? That segment last night was a great one, in building up the JBL/Jericho feud. It was an old school type of heel beat down. Maybe you are deaf, but JBL was getting huge heat. And don't try to pull the "It's X-Pac heat" schtick, because it clearly wasn't. As far as anyone who got offended...you need to get a life. The thought of Chris Benoit didn't even cross my mind during that segment. To suggest someone can never get choked out on TV again because of that is being pretty near sighted and silly. I'm sure 99.9% of the audience watching didn't even make that connection. If you are offended by something like that, watching wrestling, you should have quit watching years ago, because there have been plenty of bigger things to get truly offended about. Wrestling isn't supposed to be PC, though.

I always liked "pinfalls/submissions ONLY" myself.

Supposedly Hillary started tearing up a bit on the campaign trail today. I guess at least that proves she's not completely fake. http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/20...on-gets-em.html

Terribly inaccurate wrestling predictions you made
Dobbs 3K replied to King Kamala's topic in General Wrestling
There were rumors Crush would again be a part of it, I think. There were also joke rumors Duke Droese would be a member. "Demolition Trash". It's too bad WWF couldn't bring Darsow back to do Demolition again, since he was still wrestling and was somewhat passable in the ring in the final years of WCW. Actually, there was just a Darsow/Eadie Demolition reunion at a local indy fed in Milwaukee last month...I think they actually were supposed to wrestle, but I don't know if that actually happened or not. -
Ron Paul's answer was fine. He was right that the question isn't really relevant to the presidency. You guys know that most of the country does believe in "a god" and is at least nominally Christian, right? Oh, I guess that makes all of us stupid rubes, though.

How did you find out that wrestling was not "real"?
Dobbs 3K replied to majormayhem1's topic in General Wrestling
I guess I thought the moves were more real than they were, too. I guess I just figured the guys knew how to fall properly (which is of course true) to not get hurt often. -
Impact spoilers (airs December 27th and January 3rd)
Dobbs 3K replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in TNA Wrestling
Four "gauntlet matches" on one TV show is just overkill. This reminded me of something WWF would have run on a throwaway RAW in '99, when they were running away with the ratings and just wanted to get a bunch of people on TV before a PPV. TNA doesn't have that luxury. Also, the stuff with AJ Styles and Jeremy Borash was unfunny and embarrassing. The only part I really enjoyed was Christian rolling up Joe at the end, because it fit Cage's character so perfectly. I don't know...I want to like this promotion a lot, but they are just doing nothing to really hook me. -
Whoever is responsible, and whoever would benefit.

Well, I'll be darned, that shark picture is actually a real one: http://www.snopes.com/photos/animals/sharkkayak.asp

If someone actually would assassinate Obama (or another similar candidate), it would be time to take up arms.
-
I guess that kind of makes sense...all three of those faces had run-ins with the York Foundation. Cage matches on WCW TV used to be somewhat common in the late '80s/early '90s.

NWA Wrestling Showcase - premieres January 16th on Colours
Dobbs 3K replied to GreatWhiteNope's topic in General Wrestling
He should just go back to being Nick Dinsmore for NWA TV shows like this, and be "U-gene" or whatever for little local indy feds so he can make an easy buck still. -
I do remember WWF New York...never saw it of course, but I remember it being a WWF program for probably a year or so. Anyone remember that awful WWF show on WGN around '97 or so, that was on Saturday mornings? It was just another "RAW re-hash" show hosted by Todd Pettengill. It was like "Here's more of the same, and we're not putting much effort into it, either."
-
Well, the thing seems to be that Hillary basically has to win New Hampshire to have a real shot, at least from what I'm seeing. If Obama wins NH, he'll probably win in South Carolina, and then go into Super Tuesday as the favorite to win the nomination. As far as the Republicans, if Romney can't bounce back and win in NH, he's toast.
-
I would consider voting for Ron Paul, at least over Hillary, probably.

I've seen it several times...though I did see "I Am Legend" on NYE at a Marcus theater, and they didn't have it. I've seen it at several of the smaller more local cinemas, though. It wouldn't be so bad if the song wasn't so long...it's also pretty generic mainstream rock, but that's what 3 Doors Down is. The worst is I've been at theaters where they have the stupid Pepsi trivia thing before the previews, and there were acutally a couple different questions regarding 3 Doors Down and that song, before they played the video.

Anyone else hear those reports about Thompson considering dropping out?

Herb Abrams' UWF begins airing on ESPN Classic next week
Dobbs 3K replied to GreatWhiteNope's topic in General Wrestling
I wish ESPN Classic would re-air GWF stuff from the early '90s. I would assume they still have the rights to it, but I could be mistaken. -
Well, I don't smoke, so I couldn't care less about that. Pretty much everyone uses gasoline, though.

Herb Abrams' UWF begins airing on ESPN Classic next week
Dobbs 3K replied to GreatWhiteNope's topic in General Wrestling
Oh man, I'm DVR-ing this. -
Wisconsin better not look at a "carbon tax". We already have enough damn taxes built into our state mandated gasoline prices already.

I definitely remember seeing the Hardys wrestle as a tag team on shows like Superstars as early as '96...at least I'm almost positive.
