That's not too surprising. Has anyone heard anything about if in fact WWE is killing off the cruiserweight division for good?

I'm not as up on my Vietnam era history as some around here...but at that point, wasn't the general concensus that Vietnam was still a winnable conflict? That doesn't seem to be the case with Iraq at this point.
-
Heh, I guess it was a matter of time, and it makes sense since they're usually taped on the same schedule anyway. Guess we can get ready to see CM Punk on Friday nights now.
-
Eh...I'm pretty sure the Iraq strategy is going to change dramatically no matter who (realistically) is in the White House next.
-
Yeah, it's been bothersome how lacsidasical all the other Democrats campaigns have become. Maybe they're just assuming they have no chance and playing nice so they can maybe get the VP spot on the ticket.

I think pretty much whenever ECW has had a "mystery man" it ends up being someone on the active roster. It would be nice if they'd freshen things up and bring in a new face or two. You know who'd be good? Harry Smith, even if they just have him in ECW for a little bit before getting traded to RAW or something.

You really don't know who Missy Hyatt is? Basically, she broke into wrestling in the mid '80s in some of the Southern territories, going with guys like Eddie Gilbert. Eventually, she made it into WCW as a "reporter" on-screen, and as a manager. She was also in ECW for a bit, managing the Sandman, IIRC. Since then, she's been in a bunch of indy promotions as a manager and sometimes wrestling. Pretty much she's been known for dating a bunch of people, including Jason Hervey (played the older brother in the Wonder Years), Scott Putski, and a slew of others. She also ran a sleezy wrestlingvixxxens website with Tammy Sytch a few years back.

Jericho is only 5'10 with the lifts in his boots? Wow, that's the same height as me. I guess TV really does make everyone look bigger...unless it's the Big Show, then you have to see him in person to really get a sense of how large he is.

If I say "hello" and they don't respond after five seconds, I just hang up. Having caller ID is pretty helpful, too.

I'm just saying no one was predicting the Rockies to make it to the World Series, at least that I'm aware of. They put together a new plan for this year, and it has obviously worked so far, though.
-
Yeah, or not. I would guess Balls Mahoney.
-
Funny how sports can actually play out in real life, versus the predictions, huh?

I kind of like the new belt. It has an old school vibe to it that is kind of refreshing. At least they're calling it a "Women's Championship" to at least portray it as semi-serious.

You're emboldening the enemy with that cut & run rhetoric! Seriously, that article is pretty damning of the whole process right now.
-
You sure do like popping in here and repeating that point ad nauseum, though.

I can't comprehend why someone who resists arrest after causing a public disturbance shouldn't be tasered. Again you liberals with the name calling.
-
Regardless of whether or not a taser caused this man's death (and from the article Tsukuyomi linked to, it doesn't sound like it), I can't believe so many of you are eager to praise the worthless cunt who got tasered to begin with. He was acting like a juvenile idiot in a public forum and got what he deserved, no, what he was asking for, as he intentionally brought the police action upon himself. Most police forces in the world would have given him much worse. We need to punish stupidity, not enable it in this country.

Guys, the Val Venis jokes are retarded.

I think the MLB playoff system is great as is. I like that half the league doesn't get in like the NHL or NBA. I heard one interesting suggestion on the radio that could be good, though: Have two wildcard qualifiers from each league. The two teams would play each other in a one game playoff. The winner would get the wildcard spot in their league. That way, that team has to use one more pitcher, giving their opponents a slight advantage in the LDS. Of course, this would be similar to the Padres/Rockies game at the end of this season, which hasn't slowed down the Rockies, but I don't think it's a bad idea.

Nice to get an opinion from Dr. Cheesala on this matter.
-
I don't think that's necessarily the whole problem, but the whole vibe I seem to get, at least from the scattering of reports about WWE's developmental groups lately, is that it seems like it's old guys teaching 1980s wrestling philosophies that WWE doesn't even follow on its three main shows.
-
Don't know if this has been discussed already, but I heard a report earlier this past weekend that said the Marlins are looking to trade Cabrera and/or Willis. Sorry, Marlins fans.
-
Not fair as in they've gone on an amazing, they must have made a deal with the devil, win streak?
-
How can he dare embolden the enemy by giving them aid and comfort like that?

And Al Gore isn't even running for president. I really think the entire GOP is scared to death of anyone connected to Bill Clinton.
