Hmmm...I think I have a solution for this...it's on the tip of my tongue...

If you have an HDTV and a decent surround sound receiver, the video and audio Blu Ray can give you is pretty outstanding. Also, the PS3 will upconvert your DVD movies to HD resolution, so that's a bonus, too. Though I have read some people being dissatisfied with the level of DVD performance on the PS3. I dunno, though...I think they look pretty good.

The Yankees aren't going to go for Manny. They don't need him and have no room for him. I think people need to get over it. He's not going to either of the New York teams.

TSM Profile Tag Team Edition: Demolition
Dobbs 3K replied to King Kamala's topic in General Wrestling
Yeah, I'm not sure what that was all about. I really doubt they were going to bring back Ax and Smash at that point. Maybe it was supposed to be Crush and someone new? -
I'm not sure if you're if you're implying Hosaka was from Japan. Pretty sure she's from Hawaii. WWF may still have had some thing going with Michinoku Pro at that point, but I doubt it. Anyway, that wouldn't have included any women. As far as female workers, they already had the Women's Title at that point, so I'm guessing they were looking at bringing in more women.

Good for Feingold. Anything that ends at least some cronyism on the state and national level is definitely a good thing. With this Blagoivich (sp? Oh, who cares?) fiasco, maybe it has a chance to pass, too.

I tend to think Dean would have at least run a less limp wristed campaign than Kerry did.

Main Event Mafia Offers Blagojevich Job
Dobbs 3K replied to Shelton Benjamin outta f'in nowhere!'s topic in TNA Wrestling
At least the whole thing seems very tongue in cheek this time. With the Palin thing, it almost sounded like they thought she had a realistic chance of showing up. -
I love that the Dodgers aren't playing Boras' game. I hope they call Adam Dunn's agent next. As far as Sheets, the only team that seems remotely interested is the Texas Rangers, and they're only offering one year at this point. Sheets wants at least two.

So, when does Holly come back? I think the Michael character needs some positive stuff happening to him sooner than later. He's turning into Charlie Brown, other than getting those zingers at the end.
-
They're seriously calling the F-U the Attitude Adjuster now? I think the Throwback was a better name, though didn't Cena actually call another one of his moves that? And boy, I too am sick of Jericho always jobbing to Cena. I didn't expect him to beat him, but at least he could have lost by DQ or something to freshen things up a bit.

Yeah, I remember Flair being on the old WCW Live show and talking about Douglas. He pretty much summed it up when he said "Shane Douglas was always the quarterback who threw the ball five yards short, or the basketball player who just missed hitting the three pointer at the buzzer." Somewhat talented guy but couldn't really live up to his own hype.
-
I didn't mind Styles calling the moves, I hated how he would make up finishing move names basically on the fly, and pretend like they'd always been called that.
-
Yeah...it's too bad Vince had to mishandle Bigelow so much during both of his runs. He deserved better for as much talent as he had.
-
It was also pretty silly how in the earlier days of ECW, he'd say stuff like "And yeah, you know the WWF's Dead Man would never want to take on the Sandman!" and junk like that.
-
I always thought Shane was incredibly overrated during his heyday. I never got why he seemed to be so popular on the internet. Once he brought his act to WCW and couldn't cuss and rip on Ric Flair all the time, I think he was pretty much exposed as a hack.

I actually have to say the "drunk Hawk" angle was probably one of the things I was enjoying most during that era of RAW. I thought it was hilarious. -
Yeah, exactly. The footage of Palin rallies in places like Iowa was just insane. "If'n we elect Obama, the blacks is gonna take over!"
-
They really need to do something tonight to salvage Randy Orton after that vicious beating from Shane-O-Mac last week.
-
I could be wrong. I could have sworn the announcers said he shoved him over after the play was over. Yes, I think most of us do realize we weren't watching chess. Usually the rule with this kind of stuff is "If you do it, fine, but don't get caught." He got caught.
-
What are you talking about? He shoved him down after the play was over. Funny how NBC didn't show it again after that. I guess they didn't want to taint his amazing 100 yard run. Pretty good game over all. Not much more you can ask for from a Super Bowl.

Personally, I reached Level 20 before having a lot of the side quests done. I thought they could have easily let you get to Level 30 before the final mission. I was also confused since the PS3 version clearly shows a Level 21, but I soon realized I wasn't acquiring any more XP. Bethesda really should have cleaned that up a bit if they weren't going to release any DLC or do a patch to let you advance further.
-
An interesting question would be, who was a worse candidate? Dole or McCain? Neither seemed to have a realistic chance of winning, I guess.
-
Well, like a lot of people, I just hated the fact that Cactus Jack, a well known wrestler, was coming in under a different gimmick and the WWF was pretending (at the time) that it was a completely different guy. Also, I don't think Mankind really got over until the Hell in the Cell match with Undertaker.

Incident w/ the Most Negative Impact on Wrestling
Dobbs 3K replied to TMC1982's topic in General Wrestling
Benoit has to be the worst of all. I remember everyone who knew I was a wrestling fan asking me about that one, and I would just have to shake my head. I remember a few people who mentioned the Owen incident, but that was basically just a horrible freak accident, like you can have in any sport or entertainment event. The Mass Transit thing shouldn't be on the list, since I don't remember that really being reported outside of the wrestling "press." Also, by the time WCW broke away from the NWA, the NWA name had virtually no name value at all. It really wasn't that big of a deal in the long run.
