  1. He got tasered. Yes, it's painful, but it's not like he's going to have permanent injuries. I can't believe how pussified some Americans are becoming.
  2. Yes. Truly this is 1984 come to life, when some guy making a scene gets tasered by the police.
  3. Yeah, this guy shouldn't have gotten roughed up at all, obviously, snuffbox...since he was making a very serious and intellectual political statement. There wasn't any antagonism on his part at all, no sir.
  4. The guy got tasered because he wouldn't shut up, and apparently wouldn't stop moving. I don't get where all the controversy is.

The OaO Raw Thread - 9/17/2007

I did manage to avoid watching most of this past Monday's RAW, and am glad I did. You hear that WWE...I've been watching since the old Primetime Wrestling days. Get your crap together.

I guess I would join others in thinking the government getting out of the marriage business as a whole would probably be a good idea. There are plenty of good reasons for tax breaks for married couples, though.
  7. The guy was an idiot looking for attention, and he got it. Don't see what the big deal is. I did enjoy his screaming at the end of that first video. What a pussy.

    This Week In Baseball 9/16-9/23

And so we have a tie again atop the NL Central...Cubs have one more win and one more loss than the Brewers, if you want to nit pick.

Oh, OK, so we're totally clear on that now.

So the supposedly enlightened minority should trump the will of the majority then?

Why does Coach hate Cena so much anyway?

If they wanted to let them have civil unions or whatever and get the same benefits, I wouldn't really care.

I'm pretty sure there is, snuffbox. "Do not point out the speck of saw dust in someone's eye, before removing the plank from your own."

Well, it's more the fact that I probably won't have much time to actually watch the games with the various events going on. FWIW, I don't mind Schroeder. I think he's better than a lot of the color men ("analysts") out there.

O.J. Simpson named in casino break-in

Why is everyone still trying to frame OJ? Give the guy a break.

Two nationally televised Brewers games this weekend, and I'm going to be in Massachusetts for a wedding. I think I'm being mocked or something.

Since I'm dreading the "humorous" Vince/Hornswoggle skits we are likely to get, I'm going to try and avoid watching if at all possible. Of course, I probably will since I tend to be a creature of habit with my TV viewing, but I'm going to hate it.

Well...I think that we just had a thread about this a while ago, but I'll go ahead and answer even though I'm probably going to get flamed like crazy. I took "gay rights" to mean gay marriage. I don't hate homosexuals and don't have anything against them personally. I knew several in college, even was neighbors with one, and they were generally fine people. As a Christian though, I can't condone homosexuality personally, so I cannot condone gay marriage. As an American, I think people should be able to live how they want to...if you want to be gay, that's your right and it's none of my business. I just don't think the government should put a gay relationship on the same level as a heterosexual marriage. That's basically it in a nutshell.

    "Oops, I Forgot"

When a wrestler or team wins a couple weeks in a row on TV, and the announcers say what a huge win streak they have going. The biggest example I can remember of this was when Lance Storm and William Regal started teaming, and a couple weeks later Jim Ross proclaimed them "one of the winningest teams in WWE history", or some such non-sense.

    The Old School questions thread

I always thought a Goldberg/Undertaker tag team, even if just a one shot deal on a PPV, would've drawn big money. As far as a feud, I think Goldberg would've been smart enough to play politics and job to Undertaker, maybe after UT put him over once. I think it could have been like the HBK/Angle feud where they traded wins, but there wasn't a definite blow-off.

So Fire Pro R is back

As someone who already has the import version of FPR, this isn't that exciting, other than having the game in English. It's basically going to be the same game with the same modes, but easier to navigate, and probably some messed up versions of the default wrestlers (see Brody using the Muta mist). I'm sure I'll still have to buy it, though, if only to prove to companies that Japanese wrestling games are popular in America.

    This Week In Baseball 9/10-9/16

I would guess Fielder is most likely to be gone in the next few years (Scott Boras is his agent). However, Attanasio has shown he's willing to spend the cash when needed (look at the Suppan signing). The nice thing is that Suppan's contract, along with some others, will be off the books by the time Hardy, Weeks, Hart, Fielder, Braun, etc. start becoming eligible for free agency, so it's not like there won't be any money at all to spend. No, they won't keep them all, but then again they probably won't need or want to, either. At any rate, they have Fielder for four more years after this season, IIRC, so it's not like Brewers fans need to fret about Fielder being in Yankees pinstripes right now. Oh, and I was at the game last night, and Fielder's home run and standing ovation was a pretty amazing moment. I will be at Miller Park again today trying to cheer them on to a series win.
