It's not that Iraq is better or worse off. It's that our country is involved over there when we have no real reason to be. If it was truly for humanitarian reasons that Iraq needed to be invaded, then it should have been the UN's job, not ours.
-
So it's Great Khali, then?
-
Yep, I usually let the voice mail get the call if I don't recognize the number right away. Saves a lot of time.

I don't know...I thought the announcer was saying "Rotten", but it was hard to tell.

Jingus, you're comparing a direct military war between two neighboring powers that went on for roughly eight years with the current conflict, which isn't closely similar. It's not a good comparison. Cheesala, that is the same article I referenced a while ago. I hope everyone reads it, because it shows how corrupt the current administration is. I hope they pay for their sins in some fashion before they get off the hook completely, because that article just shows how completely messed up the whole "nation building" thing is, and how we really can't come out ahead in this. The only people winning this war are the contractors.

What's the RAW writing team going to do now, without yet another one of there comedy fall back acts to eat up 15 minutes of TV time?
-
Fine, less Iraqis are dying now than during Saddam's regime. Don't know where you're getting that figure, but let's go with it. Mission accomplished, then. Can our troops come home now?
-
Yes, again, because if they want foreign criminals deported, they are evil backwards racists. Give me a break.

I know a guy who has a Philips with Ambilight and he swears by it. He told me he was watching a movie with some friends, turned off the amiblight feature, and after a while everyone was telling him to turn it back on. I would just make sure to buy one from a store with good customer service, as Philips' customer support sucks big time (I used to work for a chain that stopped carrying them for that very reason).

Well, I guess it depends. The article didn't seem to elaborate if they were talking about legal or illegal immigration. If the whole family immigrated legally, then yeah, that does seem a little harsh. Maybe they figure that the arrested person is likely to be the one sustaining the family economically, and thus if that person is jailed or deported, their family will become a burden on the Swiss government.

I believe Flair also pinned Konnan to win the US Title with it, though I could be wrong.

The problem with brining Sid in is that you'd just be hoping he doesn't flake out or have some kind of freak injury to suddenly derail whatever program he's in. I wouldn't mind seeing him back for a short stint, though. Thought it was funny that his tag team partner in that video was "Johnny Rotten". Sex Pistols live!

Doesn't seem like a fair shake for Dinsmore...I think he could have done a lot more if they had just finally done a character change with him. I always said the Eugene character was DOA after Triple H squashed him and broke his arm in that cage match, and that was like three years ago, IIRC. Then again, maybe there's more to the story that we don't know. Just kind of weird, since he was just on Smackdown, the other night, though maybe they kind of planned that as a pseudo-burial. I did hate how they kept using him on TV when he obviously had no heat at all, so this is probably for the best.

ECW/Smackdown Spoilers for the 9/4 and 9/7 airings

Eh...It's been a while since one of the World Titles changed hands on TV (I think the World Heavyweight did not too long ago, but besides that...), so this will be pretty cool to see. I just hope this drug thing doesn't derail John Morrison. I think he was starting to grow into his new character and role. Much more interesting than when he was Johnny Nitro, anyway. -
Eh...when I was in Europe a couple years ago, most people didn't seem to have big problems with black people...it was more Turks and Arabs that seemed to get the brunt of the racism, so I don't think it's really an apt comparison.
-
They're anti-immigration. The poster does seem a little extreme, but they should have a right to get their message across. It's stupid how anyone who says anything against immigration (in this case they seem to be talking about expelling foreign criminals) is automatically dubbed a racist. It's completely knee-jerk.

The Hogan one is kind of a classic. The Benoit one is lame.

The most annoying think about another BoSox/Yankees series would be ESPN's hype. I've had enough hearing about A-Rod's un-clutchiness, and Manny being Manny, etc. I still think this is going to be the first year in a long time that the Yankees miss the post-season, though I'll probably end up being wrong.
-
Yeah, that's there lame line they always use. It's hilarious how anal some of them are about it. As a hilarious aside, I was involved with our campus RHA, and we had a weekly television show broadcast on the campus TV station. One week, we did a segment on a comedy show at the campus coffee house, and a guy doing standup used that same line as a joke, in a bit about fraternities. Anyway, yours truly managed to get it on the air...didn't really take any flack for it, though we did have to edit it before the second airing later in the week. Yeah, good times. Actually, speaking of RHA, I met a lot of people, and quite a few of my friends by being involved in that. I liked the dorm life, personally. Not a lot of social pressure, and a good way to meet lots of people.

Yeah, I've never heard of anyone seriously complaining about the Brewers' link to beer or the brewing industry. I do think they try to downplay the connection to an extent. At the old County Stadium, Bernie Brewer would slide into a giant beer mug. Now he just goes down a generic spiral slide. Also, the original Brewers logo was a beer barrel man, of all things. The beer mug. You can see what must have been a nearly completed Miller Park in the background: http://www2.jsonline.com/sports/brew/image...g/chalet814.jpg The beer barrel man: http://www.onmilwaukee.com/images/articles...wers_barrel.gif

The Brewers basically handed that one to the Cubs. Kevin Mench swinging at the first pitch, with two outs, after the pitcher had just walked in a run was unbelievable. Kind of fitting for how the Brewers have been going, though.

I want the administration to pay for their sins. It's apparent Congress doesn't care that much.

Well, Coach was correct on RAW when he said to Vince that things were going to be getting worse. It's a good thing his family is scheduled to be on RAW next Monday, since they will practically be the only employees left to put on television, come Monday.
-
I never got why the NWA tried to push Buddy Landell as a heel, using the same gimmick as Ric Flair, who was also a heel. It didn't really go anywhere and wouldn't have lent itself to a real blow-off feud anyway.
-
Well, this is going to be really amusing.
