What do you completely and utterly suck at?
Dobbs 3K replied to Copper Feel's topic in No Holds Barred
Tolerating minorities. Haha, just kidding. Seriously, though... - Pretty much any sports. I used to be OK at golf and bowling, but I haven't played either seriously in years. I don't golf now mainly because I don't have that much disposable income, and I tended to get frustrated if I wasn't doing well. What's the point of spending money on an afternoon if it's just going to make you mad? - Any fix-it tasks other than the really basic stuff. Any time I put something on the wall, it ends up falling off or something, regardless of what anchor or whatever I use. I also know nothing about cars (my dad doesn't either, and my high school didn't offer any shop or mechanic classes). - Paying attention to my wife. I'm sorry, but her stories are pretty long and boring. It's usually when the TV or something is on that I can't focus on her. -
When Was The Last Time You Were Surprised By A Match Finish?
Dobbs 3K replied to Chazz's topic in The WWE Folder
That's kind of nice though...it shouldn't always be the finishing move that ends a match. Sometimes any big move or submission should be enough, or what's the point? -
Yeah, he said on RAW he faked it to see how much people appreciated him, or something to that effect.

Unless you have some cushy union job. I have a friend who works at an auto plant, and he can literally tell his supervisor to fuck off, as long as he doesn't threaten him. It's called a "shop talk clause", I guess. No wonder Toyota and Honda are eating the American companies alive.

If Jarrett had come back to WWF after Vince bought WCW, he probably would have been booked badly and been gone a year later to start TNA anyway. I mean, look at what happened to Bagwell, DDP, etc.

Wow, that picture of Orton is just creepy. Call me crazy, but this Kennedy-McMahon storyline doesn't sound that horrible. At least it will be something different, and give someone new a chance to get elevated.
-
OK, yeah, you guys are right. I might have been thinking of something else. Anyway...

Not to go way off topic, but one of my pet peeves is multi-level marketing companies (which I think Vector is, at least kind of). At my current business I've been approached by like three different reps from MarketAmerica to either carry their products or join them, and a couple years ago when I was working retail some bitch tried to recruit me for Primerica. I also had a client of mine try to recruit me for one called Quixtar or something (basically an internet wing of Amway). Idiots don't think you can Google their companies.

Eh, maybe it just didn't come across well on TV then.

When I first saw Miz wrestle on Smackdown, I really liked him. He surprised me with all his antics in the ring, and thought he was something different. It seems like he's toned down a lot of that, though.

I think this thing kind of sucks. I don't see ECW '96 as being that traditional or sports based at all.
-
Yeah, that was pretty much it. He didn't feel like he could have a safe match with him...I think I remember him saying that he was mad Owen didn't really apologize for it, but I don't know if that is true or not.

WWF/WWE has never been really huge on factions, I guess. Other than the Hart Foundation, what other group has even come close? They had all the "Gang Warz" factions around '97, but those were all midcard acts basically. Kaientai was basically a comedy group after Togo and Teioh left. Evolution didn't have close to the same impact, and I don't think you can say any version of DX really did either (for the most part it was basically just a tag team of HBK/HHH). Let's not forget the ultra-lame WWF version of the nWo. Really, the Hart Foundation was the only group in WWF to be really dominant and win multiple titles. Speaking of the Road Warriors in WCW...I remember around '93 or so, on a Clash of the Champions, there was an angle where a babyface was injured before a tag team match (I want to say Ricky Steamboat, but I'm not sure). Anyway, a car drove out to the ring, and Road Warrior Animal stepped out to take his place in the tag match. The heels, who were Rick Rude and the Equalizer (I have no idea why they were teaming), said something like "Hah! We knew it was going to be you!" and were met with a reply of "There isn't one Road Warrior, there are two!"...and then Hawk came out from under the ring to be in the match. Does anyone else remember this? I don't know if this lead to Hawk competing full time in WCW again, or if there was a break before he came back and had that brief feud with Kurasawa.

It'll be funny if he comes back and gets a really mild reception, like the last time he returned after an injury (after all the "Beautiful Day" promos). You could tell he came out expecting a huge return pop, and it was really pretty tame. I don't remember where that was.

I got the same as most people here: You are a moderate wrestling traditionalist. You reject the idea of sports-entertainment but you believe that charisma still has a part to play in character development. However you also know that wrestling ability must always take priority. Most similar booker: Jim Cornette Most similar promotion: ROH 2007 Funny, because I've never watched any ROH.

The Brewers have been trying to hand the Cubs first place lately, but they won't take it. Just bizarre how this second half has been going. Tony Graffanino was injured yesterday, which might be a positive in that Ned Yost will be forced to shake up the positioning and lineup, since Rickie Weeks is in AAA right now.

Someone on ESPN First Take yesterday complaining about Aaron only doing that video and not being there in person made me want to puke. Yeah, I bet ESPN would have loved Aaron to legitimize Bonds' moment so they could elevate him even more, but he didn't have to, so there.

Just started dating a girl, appropriate b-day gift?
Dobbs 3K replied to RepoMan's topic in General Chat
Slice off your ear and give it to her. -
Well, black people like dog fighting, I guess. Is that what they're trying to prove with that story? ESPN loves the race baiting, for sure.

Is it for sure that the bastard McMahon is going to be Kennedy, or is that just speculation on this board?
-
Yeah, he should've had a human skull and used that to drink his water out of. The problem with Triple H leading another group is that they'd immediately get compared to DX and Evolution. Maybe with Orton they could do a new version of Evolution or something.
-
I just hope he does something a bit different. I don't want to see the same Triple H we've gotten used to. Give him a new edge or storyline or something.
-
Does anyone else get a Raven-ish vibe from Morrison/Nitro now? I'm wondering if it's their attempt to create a Raven-like heel in ECW. I wouldn't be surprised to see him start leading a band of heels. Too bad his promos still suck, though. William Regal is one of the most bizarrely underutilized wrestlers in WWE's recent history. Sometimes he is super over with the crowd, but they don't do anything with him. Is he on Triple H's bad side or something?

Which reminds me, with all this talk about all these new heavyweights coming in, when is TNA going to get off their duffs and introduce another midcard belt? Give these guys something else to feud over, rather than having everyone spouting off about wanting to win the TNA World Title when the main event scene is already overcrowded.
