any matches of when the female japanese wrestlers did a stint in WCW? either that or the Benoit/Booker best of seven series..
-
Yes, this is nothing but good for Kane to show his personality, maybe even and earlier unmasking... the way the WWF is right now, imagine evil, borderline psychotic Kane playing mind games with anyone he chose... possibly a feud with Owen to raise up both of their status?
-
After playing the demo a few times during visits to Best Buy, I took the plunge and bought Madden 06. The learning curve is a lot less steep in the passing game than ESPN 2K5.

Excellent work as always, though its still as distressing to watch Trips' rise to "power" here as it was back in the day.
-
Considering the size and strength advantage that Joe has over Sabin, I would think that he would stick to what works, which would be dropkicks and strikes to wear the big man down a bit... That match had excellent psychology, and Joe is showing more than just a guy that merely uses his size and strength, he showed agility and quickness too.

I only have two of those, and I need to find more. As soon as I have the time, I'm going to make that HCTP CAW of him.

I'm glad that some others see what I saw in that ID match, in that Joe has the moveset and attitude to be like Taz was in ECW circa 96-98. Fucking badass with a killer moveset, and almost killing guys with his submissions. I think I became a mark for him during that match with Sabin, though his stuff against Low-Ki in ROH originally turned me on to him.

With the way SvR is and people pop up after major damaging moves and with some finishers, you could never set up a table in a corner.

Huh, I actually heard a rumor that Microsoft was going to promote a widespread pillaging by bringing it out the day after Thanksgiving, the busiest shopping day of the year. That would be a mess unless everybody did preorders or midnight lineups. A launch crowd + Christmas shoppers = disaster. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A-fucking-men to that... I remember all of the shopping nightmare stories surrounding these game systems and they get worse and worse with every generation... though the PS2 craze was horrible, I think the XBox craze was even worse than that.

I knew you would Andrew, because you have in the past and you care about games without being totally obsessive about it. Elitist yes, but not obsessive. By the way, if you take the On The Top Rope running turnbuckle move and time it right, you can properly execute the flying body press pin. I had to learn it when doing my Ricky Steamboat CAW. which reminds me, I need a good Samoa Joe CAW... after watching that excellent inDemand match, I'm inspired.

That is just wrong on about every level imaginable.

And as I have said before, these games aren't made for the serious wrestling fan or the serious gamer. The majority of people who buy them are the average wrestling fan/mark, who doesn;t care quite as much as we do about any of the things we complain about. If they got up in arms about some of the things we percieve wrong with the game, then Yuke's/WWE would listen. But as it stands, has anyone here sent an email to Yukes about this? With the exception of one, maybe two, I'll wager not. Why? Because its easier to bitch about it here and make yourself look cool/important/knowledgeable in the process. But in the end that's okay, I suppose. ::shrugs:: Considering they go after the lowest common denominator with a game such as this, to effect all of these changes desired by those here in time for SvR 2007, they would have had to start way back around the end of HCTP in order to have it ready *now*, as they would practically have to design a braned new game from the ground up. Do the changes suggested make sense? Absolutely. But considering the E has been mired in mediocrity (at best) ever since ECW and WCW went down, why should the games they license be anything different at all? This is another reason I wish TNA all the success in the world, because like with WCW back in the day, the E will have to step their game up (no pun intended) or face losing a major chunk of their audience, and considering even the diehard fans/marks are starting to get sick of the same old thing, this is not a bad thing. And perhaps if that does comes to pass, it will change the quality level of their games too, especially if TNA completes that game deal being rumored about, and its a decent alternative, just like the state of their wrestling now, never mind if they step it up a notch and make it *good*. Competition breeds innovation. Remember that, people.

Considering that the majority of those who use and have used the moonsault usually go right into the pin, I don;t understand the bitching.

as I wound my way through the thread, the clearest blade job to me remains Hercules vs. Billy Jack Haynes and WM III. After Herc hit Billy Jack with his chain-wrapped fist, they cut to a camera closeup of Billy Jack drawing the blade across his forehead. I saw that during the PPV and my friends and I *howled* over it.
-
This is awesome.... too bad WWE doesn;t have any OnDemand.
-
A year minimum, and they cannot afford *any* major missteps with booking or talent....
-
sheesh, I haven;t seen him in a long time, I might buy the PPV for that.
-
You had to do the same thing in the arcade version, too.... And I never got to the end of DD2 playing co-op, so I don't know if the same thing held true. As for console power, its the same pissing contest that started back with the NES and the Master System and hasn't stopped since. EDIT: I take that back. It started back when the Intellivison and Colecovision were butting heads and the Atari tried to trump them both with the 5200.
-
Now an MK RPG would be a great idea... a co-op RPG ala BGDA would be better. Maybe even going along the lines of Jade Empire.
-
Not gonna happen..... they'll both have ratings in the upper 80s to low 90s... I think Benoit had a rating of 91 in SvR. Every time I look at that Hart Foundation picture, I get a little sad. Three out of the five are dead.
-
I have been considering buying Takedown for awhile.... but I'm not done with Forza yet.
-
Considering where he is on the card, I can accept Randy being an 86. It just makes things so much better when I beat them with an up and coming CAW in the 50s or 60s. Come on, folks, you know damn well Trips is going to have a rating in the upper 90s. Its been the same way for the last three games, why the hell should it change now? Because he's not on TV right now? It really doesn;t matter all that much how tough the opponent is. You can still beat them if you know what you're doing.

I think the weight limit for Light Heavyweight was 235 lbs, and I think at that point in his career, 2 Cold was at or near that weight.
-
Wow, I see a nice little Hart Foundation/D-X feud coming.... this is gonna be good.
-
I would settle for the ability to edit rosters, ala HCTP. But when it comes to these games, settling is pretty much all you can do.
