Nice display of sympathy there. I'm about 20 mins west of Detroit and the power is out, except where I work which is prolly running on generator power, but its air-conditioned and I have the Internet. Props to me.

I am glad that I own a PS2 so I don;t have to deal with this crap. I applaud them for trying to do something different but basically people want to go through the story mode and rack up as many titles as they can, while going through feuds with wrestlers. That's it. Early november is too far away.

I believe in reincarnation and i have since I was a kid. It makes more sense that if there is some sort of afterlife, you are born, you live, you die, you turn around and are sent back into the "game" with but a shadow of your experiences and memories from your previous life/lives. We can debate religion, Christianity in particular from now until we find out for sure what happens when we die, people, but I refuse to believe in a religion or set of religions over which more blood has been spilled than the two World Wars and all of the other of Earth's conflicts combined. Think about that the next time you think your religion being the one true way, and the millions of people that died and continue to die because of it.

What WWE superstar are you?

I wonder if that's the one my ex-roommate made up.... -
I have tried playing the newer football games, but after Madden 96, my suck factor went WAY WAY WAY up. I'll just wait for basketball season.

if he was actually DISCUSSING the Clippers, I would say yes, but every move they have made either is applauded by him or gets spin doctored into a positive situation. The Lamar Odom situation is a prime exmaple. when discussing my Magic, I try like all hell not to look at the situation with rose-colored glasses, unfortunately at times its easy to do, especially in their playoff series against the Pistons. the series showed what was right and what was wrong with the Magic at the same time. I'm thinking that John Gabriel is going to have to go if their draft picks don't work out. The Grant Hill situation is a constant source of disappointment for me as a fan. I'm not dumping on Polish Rifle at all, but when he puts the blinders on and closes his eyes to the realities of what is going on with his team, and in his mind all bad things become good, it is a little hard to take.

Pujols should get it hands down, especially if he should somehow get the triple crown.

not to mention the LAST man to be in this position, my personal baseball hero Hank Aaron, was getting nothing but racial bias and death threats. This is the way baseball and other sports are to be covered. ESPN has been notorious for going out of their way to cover historic events (McGwire's 70th Home Run, Bonds' 73rd to name a couple of the more recent ones), and those vents are going to lead off Sportscenter. Its been the way they've been doing things for years. Why bitch about it now?

very well done and in depth, but for the gods' sakes, turn the effing page on the Colts already.

They're in that black hole of suck, MA. I just read Dr. Tom's AFC article and while he was decidedly pro-Ravens, he at least acknowledged his teams weaknesses. In PR's case, while I respect him for his dedication to the Clippers, you would think they won three of the last five championships. I want to laugh sometimes, but its kinda sad.
-
if they break more than 30-35 wins, I will be shocked. PR - I am going to say this to you, and then I'm going to hang it up, because there is no debating with you. Its like spitting into the wind. You should have been on that ESPN commercial where you saw different fans of the Lions, Cubs, and Red Sox, were holding out hope for their sad sack teams. Sterling spending 4 million more on the team is like me going into my change jar and getting out 75 cents to buy an ice cream bar. He doesn't care about winning and is only making a token effort AT BEST to improve his ballclub. Most players do not want to play there for long than their contracts will allow, because IT IS THE CLIPPERS. He is the wrong kind of owner, in that all he cares about is making money for himself. He is not innovative or willing to try new ideas like a Mark Cuban, who despite some run-ins with the league, took a below average Mavs team and got them close to playing in the finals. I could understand your myopia if you were a fan of a more successful team, like say, the Jazz. but the Clips are a bottom-feeding team with a bottom-feeding attitude. Until major changes are made at the top, nothing is going to change. Only if they are extremely lucky, the Clippers are not going to make the playoffs this year, or the next, or the one after that. Whoever said that they are going to get the #1 pick in the draft is right. They always do, and look what happens to them. Always one of the worst teams in the league, despite their talent. Blame it on lack of a good coach if you want to, but it goes beyond the abilities of the coaching staff or even the players on the court. It starts and ends with upper management.

this is hysterical. I have to literally cut away from the thread and come back to it. this is like a horrible car wreck, or like Jason Kendall or that tryout guy from SlamBall dislocating their ankle so bad the foot is hanging out by a piece of skin. you just can't turn away from it for long.

wow, thats some list.

Its just a shame.... I hope that she can get some therapy and get through this.

The charges got dropped in Austin's case, and you don't hear about his domestic life anymore. If Austin beat Debra, she should have stuck with pressing the charges and had him sent to jail, but she didn't.

Nah, Vick is like that r/l. He needs to be more consistent as a passer. When he pulls the ball down, the defense can't do much (except for the Bucs of course, who have a bunch of guys on the defense who almost as athletic as he is,so they can stop him more easily)

Say what you will about the forum, but I find Loveline to be the perfect mixture of comedy and relationship/sexual/drug advice in the world. I listen to it on my lunch break and I *always* feel better for doing it.

Alexis Laree in bondage. Yum.

When you are victimized, especially at a young age, it doesn;t matter if you bulk up as big as Brock. Abusers will be drawn to you, they will find that one trigger that will tear your self-worth down to nothing, and the next thing you know you are getting abused for spilling a glass of milk on the carpet. Only through therapy can you ever be free of those demons that allow you to be abused, physically or emotionally. ::sighs and ponders taking his own advice::

Yes, her relaxing definitely makes it much more enjoyable.

Jason X was funny as hell. Then again the company I was watching the movie with *made* it funny.

yes, definitely an adjustment period is in order... with plenty of lubricant.... last time I did it I had to stop right after I started because she started bleeding.

if Sharon's cancer was a work, I am going to be pissed. Kelly and Jack I could care less about, because they both need to be slapped around and made to realize that they have it made and they're indulging their vices off of their father's work.
