::changes his cd from Maiden Favorites Volume Two to Volume Three and sighs happily as Wasted Years starts up:: Now then... As I have said before, Metallica got the backlash because they changed too much, too soon. They can no more go back to their roots than I can relive my life from age 18 forward (no matter how much I might wish I could sometimes). They are all over 40 with families, plenty of money in the bank, and hailed around the world. I said the same thing with Megadeth. As soon as Mustaine got off the heroin and got married and had a couple of kids, he couldn't write the same angry, snarly kind of metal anymore with any kind of consistency. As you get older, you change, internally and externally. Your perspective changes. I run into that a lot on this board, as the average poster is just reaching 20 years of age, and I think I'm one of the oldest here, nearing 35. (It still feels weird to type and or say that at times). A lot of things that have some posters in a tizzy I just look at it and think, "Dude, you're not even 20 yet. This isn;t going to kill you." I have a female friend who is 17 and she thinks her life is over. I keep telling her that its just beginning. I agree with Choken on 99% of what he says. Very few bands can go all the way back to what put them on the map and re-create that magic. Its almost impossible, because of everything that the members have gone through over the years... I think the closest band that hasn't deviated too much is Slayer. I remember seeing them on Jay Moore's short-lived show, and although they've gotten older, they haven't changed very much. Maiden I think could easily go back to what got them to the top in a musical sense, they just have to get rid of Janick to do so. By the way redbaron, what did Maiden play in their set? ::still grumbles about not being able to go last night::

because they are pics, and I wouldn't make a major critique of the game until I have played it for a week or so. I could live with the same graphics of the game if it meant that it played better. It seems that they changed the graphics only slightly and spent more of their time towards the gameplay end. If this is the case, I would be very happy. How many games have we seen over the years that come down the pike that look and sound great, but play like total crap?

I survived intact.

Anybody with any kind of evolved sense of taste would prefer wide screen over full screen. When my ex told be that she hated wide screen because of the black bars on the top and bottom, I just looked at her like she was crazy.

I heard "Be a Man" on Between The Ropes tonight and it was hysterical. Like the guys have said there has been BIG TIME heat between those two for years.

You still hate Toronto right? Always will. other people who resides in Ontario hate Toronto.

Looks decent to me, though I'm all about the gameplay rather than the graphics.....

By all rights, we could have had hybrid engines that would be comparable to standard enginges today, if there was any need to do so twenty, even ten years ago. If there was a push to make a viable alternative to the gasoline combustion engine back then, hybrids would be the main alternative, with fuel cells being the main replacement another five to ten years down the road. But because of the situations surrounding oil, which are for the most part political, such development of technology has been delayed by an almost critical amount, because of the middle eastern countries and oil companies dancing this intricate dance of need, greed, supply and demand. Everyone is to blame for this situation, because of the capitalistic idea of planned obsolescence and continuing the cycle of making oil companies and OPEC richer and richer, instead of moving to the next step.

and there are a couple of people here that come on just to talk with me in PM, they would get banned under this idea. understand something, people. There are ALWAYS going to be idiots online, whether it be a message board, chat server or otherwise. This is EXACTLY what this fool is hoping for, to get everyone upset to where some will leave the board. I realize that there are some of you that take this board much more seriously than I do, but I take the long view. Someone is trying to bring TSM down or at the very least disrupt it through this inane behavior, and its succeeding.

Whoa, chief... a bit testy aren't we? I'm just enjoying watching the byplay of people's feds, since I can't devote the time to learning the game... I tried with 3.0 but I was lost. I found it funny that at first no one could get a ***** match and now its becoming rather commonplace. Though I will admit that I am wondering what you are having so much trouble...

By the way, I'm not defending NASCAR, but if weight loss is a determining factor, those guys lose ten pounds on average during a single race, due to lost fluids and exertion.

I saw a preview of Rebel Strike on tech TV, and daaaaaamn.... I did say way back when I would by a GC for Rogue Leader... I would definitely buy one for Rebel Strike. Now if my car would stop breaking down on me.... Now if they did the missions in the Rogue Squadron novel series for Rogue Squadrons 4 and 5, instead of repeating the same several missions, that would rule all. I'm not a mark for most things Star Wars, no not at all....

Bryan dude, there is something kinda wrong about saying that and having a Christopher Daniels sig... I'm trying to figure out just what it is, though.

That and a lot of wrestlers do a lot of his moves nowadays, so anything Rey does isn;t quite as special anymore... I remember when he would bust out a rana out of nowhere and the place would go CRAZY.

By that definition, you made Johnson's point for him. If these guys were making left turns in off-the-showroom-floor cars and driving no faster than say, 120 mph, I would agree. But they aren't. It does take skill and physical conditioning to drive a car around a track against 20-25 other drivers going 150-190 mph around a track for 2-4 hours. I think that F1 and CART are more "legit", because they race road circuits rather than turning left a lot. Its cool to hate on auto racing because any schmuck thinks he can do it because anyone with a minimum amount of skill and awareness can get a drivers license, so people think that anyone can become a racer. and the funny thing is with, oh, five to seven years of training and race experience, some of them could.
