    Sweet Lord!!

For those who can afford them, Sakura-chan. Downhome, if you;re still around when I get home, I'll IM you on AIM. I can at least get you started

What are you listening to right now?

Joe Satriani Favorites, Disk Two, current track playing is a live version of Hordes of Locusts, which kills the studio version. Dead.

I can't call what Mike Muir does/did rapping... He talked because he couldn;t sing. That's just the way I see it. I say Anthrax did their share because Rock/Rap was still something of a novelty, even though Run-DMC and Aerosmith got a lot of mileage and money from Walk This Way. I'm The Man really turned some heads when it came out (even though it was done as more of a joke than anything) and then it was taken another step further when Anthrax/Public Enemy did Bring the Noise. Chuck D and Scott Ian both said the shows they did during that time were prolific in several ways (thanks to behind the music's interview on Anthrax) My problem is when grunge hit the mainstream circa 1988-90, it killed ALL kinds of metal. By 1992-93, with the exception of Metallica, who had the commerical success with the Black Album and was touring constantly in support of it, metal was on its way out.... I remember seeing Megadeth in 1994-95 and Dave himself said it in between songs. *Remembers that show* yeah that was a pretty good show, aside from the Middle Eastern guy trying to feel up my then fiancee... and Korn getting SOUNDLY booed by the diehard metalheads...

    Nicko McBrian Charged.

Out of all the drummers I have ever seen, there are a handful that were on an even keel... I knew one personally for a band I used to hang with back in CT... good drummer and nice guy.... Even Neil Peart was standoffish and isolated (by his own admission in his recent book) and he is a drumming GOD. I dunno what it is, just the mentality, nothing personal meant by it... All you have to do is listen to the Two Minutes to Midnight B-side "Mission from Harry" on how bad Nicko's temper is because a roadie screwed up his drum solo. I read an interview with Nicko years later and he admits that he has a terrible temper.

    EWR 4.0 Leaked

For them to stay where they are and not get injured of course, Flik.

    EWR 4.0 Leaked

Do I see a long, slowly built feud for those two in the future, Flik? I would get into this but I was LOST when I tried playing 3.0
  7. You saw flashes of how good of a wrestler Axl was during some tag matches with Balls Mahoney. Flashes, mind you. You had to almost be looking for them.

Not as much as he was rambling. I remember seeing ST in Florida and after the show he's trying to sell his stuff and some loudmouth prick was pissed and bitching indirectly at Mike because ST didn;t play certain songs. (I was annoyed that they didn;t play You Can't Bring Me Down, but not enough to yell at the top of my lungs how the show sucked..) Run-DMC started the whole thing by bringing a true rock guitarist to play on their first two albums, then it went to Walk This Way with Aerosmith, then it was Anthrax with I'm The Man, which remains a *classic* to this day. I saw an STP live video on public TV of all places, and it kicked ass. Trippin on a Hole in a Paper Heart is my favorite STP song, and to see them do it live floored me. Regardless of that... Alice in Chains > Pearl Jam > Soundgarden > STP > Nirvana (even though they were all revolutionary, perhaps too much so, since I can never forgive the grunge generation for killing metal)
  9. Nomar is too well loved in Boston. Barring he screws up royally somehow (and I am thinking something on Buckner-esque levels, on or off the field), the Sox would be stupid to let him go for any reason. It is going to be REALLY hard to move A-Rod, my Yankee fantasies notwithstanding. I would have thought that he KNEW that once he accepted that mammoth contract that he was basically stuck in Arlington for the next ten years of his life... Money isn't everything. Most things, but not everything.

    NBA Live or NBA 2k3

Is it me or does everyone go for dunks? This is not NBA Jam. My whole thing is that I really don't want to think as much playing a basketball game as I would if I was on the court.

    Nicko McBrian Charged.

Most drummers are funny people, because they're rather demented and hyper.
  14. Imagine the backlash at the Yankees if they traded for him? Add A-Rod to an already fairly potent lineup, and you might have MURDERER'S ROW '03~! Won't happen, though.

    Pantera Best Of News

I would be interested in it. They blew their wad after Vulgar, and after Driven it was a slow slide down for them. Anselmo is a disappointment to me, personally.

    A long CM Punk interview

That was one of the better interviews I have read this year.

    X-Men

I got out of collecting the X-Men back in 1991. That's when they started screwing with the characters WAY too much. After the initial Genosha storyline, they started going nuts with altering characters with no real point to doing so. Not only that but the elevating prices did not justify the growing frustration I was having with comics in general, so I stopped collecting, sold my collection (Though I should have kept my Star Wars: Dark Empire series), and started buying more RPG stuff. In the end, I was happier.

    NBA Live or NBA 2k3

Come on now, I played Live 2001 and there were times where I had a wide open shot from anywhere on the court and it would brick more often than I would have games where I could throw it in from the next state over. I refuse to believe that its THAT bad, where neither you or the opponent can miss. That 2k3 is more strategic than Live, I can respect and understand.

    Sweet Lord!!

Easier by far to use the windows frontend. Everything is set up for easy use. Ripper - Just how many ROMs do you have now?

What gives a game great replay value?

Out of all the games I own, Ace Combat 4 has the best replay... its a great game in its own right, but replaying missions, setting "high scores" on certain missions, going for special aircraft, different paint schemes on all of the aircraft, its pretty deep. SYM runs a close second, because I am finding little things here and there as I go through the SLs again and again, since HCTP isn't coming out for another three months. Not to mention interfering in every one of HHH's matches is a source of never ending joy for me.

    Inside Sportscenter

Sports Night was very cool, even though it was a SportsCenter sitcom.... YNA, why are you down on SC?
  22. ^ And he wouldn't be the first wrestler in history to do it, either. That's why though I feel bad that he has never been a serious contender for the world title aside from the Angle storyline, I can't really feel sorry for a man who is making one hell of a living and supporting his family.

    TEST YOUR METAL!

It takes a moment for the next question to come up. Its lame, you get one question wrong and the game is over.

The official 2003 NBA free agents thread

And I can see it happening, especially if Luke is shooting a wide open, spot-up three and hits nothing but iron.... Lay off the hippie lettuce, Bill.
