If the McMahons took sick bumps every week, I would watch more, for sure.

No this song has been around for awhile, because I remember hearing it when I was still living in Florida... I think this was after Chris left Soundgarden, if its him.... The Chorus goes something like "and love, shine on..." or something like that.... I tried doing a web search and I wasn;t getting a damned thing, either.

This is a product of the WWE style... instead of setting a standard that everyone goes by and allowing individual style to enter into a match, every wrestler in the E has been homogenized. God only knows Vince doesn;t want to return to the days when Marty Jannetty and Koko B. Ware were breaking necks with impunity... so now anytime something out of the oh-so-ordinary happens someone *coughhuntercough* bitches about X wrestler being too stiff. I'm sorry but unless its proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that RVD is doing it intentionally, Hunter should just shut up and take it like a man. In such a physical *ahem* contest, accidents are going to happen. Good for RVD for confronting HHH. And I would bet cash money that HHH just looked at the floor while RVD was in his face and muttered "I had nothing to do with that" like he did when Bret Hart's wife was bitching him out after the Montreal Screwjob.

Face it folks, the NBA has all but officially blackballed Rodman. Stern is tired of his antics and it was obvious that he doesn't care about being fined. The refs had it in for him and would call shadow fouls on him, and if he so much as said a word to the ref, he would get T'ed up. The only reason Rodman would want to come back is because he needs the money. Saying all of that, I'm a little tired of Rodman's act myself. So what if he can pull down 15-16 rebounds a game? He's also up over 40 years old, and he's nowhere near as mobile as he used to be. Add to that his freak show "look at me" antics and he can stay out of the league.

I'm not surprised that he does a Rock Bottom in the movie.... hell he did one to Seven of Nine when he did a guest spot on Star Trek Voyager a couple years ago.

Definitely. it looks like one hell of a squad, but as with the Lakers, we shall see if they gel together as a team. I don;t know about you guys, but with every trade that is made I get a little more giddy about the upcoming season. This season is going to be the most interesting in a long, long time.

Let face it, wrestling annoucers HAVE to be bombastic with their style. I like joey Styles because he has timing. Thats something JR used to have, but he is just too out there now. There was a time where Vince was one of the better announcers in the business, and he had a way over the top style of announcing. Gorilla Monsoon was the perfect balance, because he had been in the ring and knew what we was talking about. If they are going with someone new, Lawler has GOT to go. He's basically single-handedly crushed any announcing talent that JR had left, with that "perverted old uncle" act, which really isn;t an act. I don;t think I could see Joey Styles doing WWE events. Ever. That is unless they pay him so much money to do it that it would be idiotic for him to turn it down..

I found it amusing that people were thinking that Brooke was just a beard for Jeff.

Last Sunday in March, isn't it? Oh, and I forgot, add stardust to that list... I would have said so earlier, but you don;t post as often as you used to sweetie....

Oh please, they take care of things in house.... what about Jeff Gordon's soon-to-be-ex wife alleging that he wasn't faithful? You hardly hear about Nascar because they are like the Southern family: something bad happens, you handle it within the family and YOU DON'T TALK ABOUT IT. We put these people on pedestals because they can do something much better than we can. At some point they stop being human, and we define them by their ability and attach our own morals to them, so when they fall off that pedestal (and they will), we are ready to vilify them for DARING to be human. Its just sad.

Damn, I want to go to Maiden at the DTE in 8/25... I haven't seen them since 1996, when I caught Dave Murray's wristband and Steve Harris caught some energy off of me screaming at him.... Adrian Smith is one of my favorite guitar players ever along with Dave... BAR, you cannot go wrong with Pre-Blaze Maiden. I was ripping and burning a "Best Of Maiden" set of CDs and there are only three or four songs from the Blaze era that actually made the cut.

And as far as him committing adultery with Nancy, it takes two to tango. I still think that Benoit is God just for the reason that he got with her and marrying her a little while later. And understand that most of us at one point or another have broken a commandment and sinned, if you have to go by that system. It has nothing to do with my admiration of the man as a professional wrestler. Never mind I marked the hell out the first time I saw him in the ring. Reading Matt Hardy's comments on Chris, and coming from him, one of Benoit's peers in the company, to hear him gush about Chris' dedication, ability and positive attitude is all the proof that I need that the man is a wrestling god. Nuff said.

Dames, just to hang out and talk about all kinds of things while walking around NYC. (And to hell with Denny's, bro. I'd take you to BENNIGAN'S~!) Sakura, because I mark for female hardcore gamers. I lived with one for five years and we had had some good times. SweetNSexyDiva, cause she's turned out to be a good friend and we bounce things off each other all the time. CanadianChick because she's just the cat's meow. Choken, because us true black-and-blue metalheads have to stick together. Yuna, because I would have to treat her to dinner and a movie for the banner she did for me, and I repay my debts. LaParkaYourCar, for the same reason. RRRudo, just to see what else is rattling around in his head. Downhome, even though I had been meaning to pull the AIM trigger and rap with him, but I keep forgetting to. I'm all for a TSM meet, but I have seen such a situation all but destroy places to post/chat online before.

I like the fact that he came out and said that Benoit deserves to be World Champ. Then he kind of shot that down by saying that he saw himself in Chris, someone who has been in the business what, 15 years? Tone down the ego a bit there, Matt.

apparently not, because I am still alive, though I was vomiting for the following 24 hours. The dry heaves were the wrost thing I had ever experienced

Add to the fact that Boston and New York have had a rivalry of cities since the dawn of time, and Boston is basically NYC's snotty lil brother and there you go... Just like Buffalo, Boston sports fans LOVE to get screwed and let everyone know they;re getting screwed, akin to what Choken said. If Boston ever won the WS, they would not know what to do with themselves. Prolly burn the city down or something. The so-called curse has taken on a life of its own, because of the city's *belief* that it exists. Trading away Babe Ruth was pretty stupid as he was a decent pitcher before he was a legendary slugger, but that was almost 80 years ago. Get over it. Boston has a good team this year, but because of their owners obsession with winning at any cost, the Yankees have a better one. Deal with it. Especially now because the Yankees are starting to put distance between themselves and Boston. When Red Sox fan starts whining and bitching about "the curse" I simply laugh. Although there is *nothing* funny about how Boston made Bill Buckner a pariah and ran him out of town. Ah well, just as well Buckner wasn;t playing in Philly, we would have been gunned down in cold blood for that error. Turn the page already, Boston.

I knew from the second I read the topic that this HAD to be be one of the crazy, meat-is-murder vegans... ::shakes his head:: I'll make sure to take an extra big bite of steak in her name this weekend, and let the blood drip from my chin while I do it.

The unfortunate thing is that he is found guilty, the league is going to suffer for it, as if the league made him do what he allegedly did.

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - Point guard Tyronn Lue agreed to a two-year, $3 million deal with the Orlando Magic, a source within the NBA told The Associated Press on Friday. The five-year veteran, who played last season for the Washington Wizards, will join the team next week, according to the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity. The Magic also signed rookie guard Reece Gaines to a three-year, $3.15 million contract. Gaines, from Louisville, was drafted 15th overall. Lue averaged 8.6 points and 3.5 assists as a reserve for Washington. It will be his first chance to be a starter in the NBA, although the Magic expect Gaines to eventually take over at point guard. With Lue, Gaines and second-round draft pick Keith Bogans, the Magic revamped their backcourt, aside from NBA scoring champion Tracy McGrady. Jacque Vaughn, who started 48 games at point guard for Orlando, wasn't asked back. And fan favorite Darrell Armstrong is unlikely to return, as the Magic are leery of the 35-year-old free agent's age and contract demands. Lue is the Magic's second free-agent acquisition of the week. Forward Juwan Howard signed a five-year contract Wednesday. This makes me pretty happy... Darrell is a favorite in the community, but the fact is that he is getting up there in age, i just hope he'll stay on with the Magic for a couple more years and then retire, maybe move into the front office. Lue at the very least would shore up the PG position, and Doc can groom Gaines for the job at his leisure.

SYM, using my second CAW, enjoying having him in the midcard until he got his push for the world title where I lost to my first CAW.... I cracked up because I found out that if you compliment X-Pac after listening tohim bitch, you get de-pushed to curtain jerking. I don;t know why, but I found that extremely funny.

Don't want to believe it? I'm reminded of it eveyr day I live and breathe, dude. As much as I say that I am a human being and a man before I am anything else, there usually is some idiot, or some screwed-up news story that reminds me that I am a black man, and while things SHOULD be equal, they aren't. Not quite yet. I hope and pray that the race card is not played, by either the prosecution or the defense. That will pour gasoline on an already hotly burning fire. I remember the day of the rodney king police verdict, how brothers were stalking through the mall where I worked, angry and belligerent.... fortunately not too much happened that day or the days afterwards..... Kobe need to avoid that hot button, or this case is going to spiral out of control quickly.... not as badly as the OJ case, but badly enough. If Johnnie Cochran gets his mitts into this case, you can kiss a swiftly moving trial goodbye. EDIT: The reason why the media came out on Kobe's side from the get-go is because Kobe's off-the-court behavior has been very good. Aside from a few people looking askance at him getting married so young, he's been the poster boy for good behavior.
-
If this is a he said, she said kind of case, Kobe should simply play the waiting game and let it drag out. Now if us average guys had consensual sex with a hotel employee, not an eyebrow would be raised. You add money and fame into the mix, and all the girl has to do is cry rape and then everyone is willing to play hardball against the famous person. I love how some of you people are talking about Kobe as if he jumped this girl from a dark alley and forced himself on her. I am not defending him in any way, but I am going to wait until the facts come out (if indeed there are any)before I pass judgement on him. If he did it, then he deserves to go to jail. If not, then he deserves to go free. I love how its about 60/40 in his favor in the court of public opinion. NOTHING HAS BEEN PROVEN YET, I say to BOTH sides. No details of the accusations have been put forth aside from the media circus surrounding the DA's press conference. All I can think of the Mark Chmura case a few years back. He was one of the better and well-liked athletes in the league, and him having sex with a minor destroyed him. If Kobe isn;t guilty he should not give an INCH in this entire affair. And that also means for the inevitable civil suit that will follow after the judge's verdict, be it guilty or not guilty. Was he stupid for screwing around on his wife? Definitely. How many times have we heard about pro athletes (not just in this country, but around the world) committing crimes, drunk on their riches and high on the power that being famous and adored gives? Never mind anything they may be ingesting at the time which would contribute to that "I'm bulletproof" mentality... This is sad, because his career and the NBA are going to suffer for this, whether he is guilty or not.
