even though I did some great stuff in live 2001, nothing compares to the triple alley-oop I pulled off in live 96... I'm playing the Magic and my CAP shooting guard comes screaming down the lane. A computer player jumps up in my path and I don;t want the shot blocked, so I dish the ball off to Horace Grant, who is oopin my alley. Another CPU player goes to block his junk, so I dish off onto the right side of the lane and Penny catches it and slams it home with a third oop. I about orgasmed right then and there. I think I replayed that play like a dozen times, be cause I could not believe what I just did. Looking back, some of my best game play comes at about 2 or 3 am

I saw this one guy go through the entire game with Wolverine and continue maybe twice. I loved X-Men but ever since Final Fight 3 came out for the SNES, nothing else compares. EDIT: I take that back. Alien Vs. Predator is the best beatemup in existence.

They were hoping that T3 would carry over all the good vibes and energy from T2... One small problem with that theory... ITS TWELVE YEARS AFTER THE FACT!! Arnold and the studios waiting to damned long to make another Terminator movie. Even if the made the thing in 96 or 97, it would have done much better. Not only that, James Cameron hit a home run with T2, and anything that came after it was not going to do as well unless Cameron directed it. The man may be an egocentric idiot, but you cannot argue with his successes. But this is why any Conan move that comes out, no matter HOW good it may be, will not equal the first move or even the second. The iron is ice cold, no use in striking it now.

Well lets see, Shaq is out of shape, and before he was arrested, Kobe was making noise about going someplace else. You bring in Malone, who is a shadow of his former self, and Gary payton, who is a good PG, but he's not what he used to be, either. Kobe and Shaq are the factors here. Anyone else they bring in will not factor into how far the Lakers go anywhere NEAR as much as Kobe and Shaq. If Kobe stays and focuses on making his team better and not just scoring, and if Fat Albert loses the extra weight he's luging around, look out below. And BTW, its easy to lead the league in assists when you;re drawing doubles all the time.

Disturbed's cover of Shout (Tears For Fears) actually made me like them. and Metallica doing Killing Time (Sweet Savage)and Turn the Page (Joe Cocker), Iced Earth doing Transylvania and the Trooper (Iron Maiden) are excellent covers.

I have to admit that i marked out for Glacier. I know he was green as hell and not really worthy of the push he got, but I have to say I was entertained, right up until Perry Saturn called him out about his "Cryonic Kick". And then I was even more entertained. Speaking of Saturn, the Eliminators were one of the best tag teams I have ever seen, back when they would just come out ala The Road Warriors and just give everyone Total Elmination in those end-of-show schmozzes. the Faces of Fear were also pretty good, though i will agree with the opinions about the Islanders. Haku's dropkick was a thing of beauty, better than Brunzell's, whose dropkick was considered one of the best in the business at the time, though Rocky Johnson had the best one. The SST out and out scared me with their intensity and their feud with the Road Warriors was one of the greats. I think thats what they were trying to go for with 3MW, it just didn't work very well.

I never get tired of watching the 87 Atlanta match... Joe, where did you get that tape? I would love to have all the matches.

Just like with 99.9% of anime, the original version with subtitles just destroys the americanized version. I loved the V series, and the first movie was wonderful. Great story and music, then the american version comes out and aside from Alice in Chains playing while Ken is driving his Porsche, the rest of the music just sucked, never mind the voice acting.

another thing I l,oved about FFVII was that you could influence (in a very small way) the characters around Cloud. Of course it was in a romantic way, but I liked the fact that you didn;t HAVE to have him match up with Tifa, even though she was by far the best fir for Cloud... not to mention I LOVED her Limit Breaks and the way they were set up, combo-style. My love for Tifa aside, that's how they should improve upon the 7.5, more choices in interacting with the other characters in the game.. the combat system was straight-up old school FF style aside from the Limit Breaks so not much needs to chance there... and for the love of all that's sacred DON'T BASH US OVER THE DAMNED HEAD WITH THE STORYLINE!!!!! Ahem. I feel better now.

considering that LoW was panned for having crappy gameplay, I think it was a fait accompli for the E in creating the legends.... This game is going to rock the house... and to think that I play SYM almost every day as it is... BTW, does anyone have a strategy guide for the story mode of SYM? A lot of the people who made FAQs/CAW lists kept promising a walkthrough, but it hasn;t happened yet... can it be that the story mode has just too many variables (even though there could have been more)?
