I've been extremely lucky in that I never got taken to the hospital for anything more serious than a lacerated eyebrow when I was 15, as some kid decided to suckerpunch me and break my glasses, the metal cutting a nice little gash in my head... but I have always gone with someone else... my first fiancee for ovarian cysts, my second fiancee for her mother and then for her... my ex-gf for seizures that will not go away no matter what..... and of course my grandmother dying of lung cancer in 1981, and my grandfather dying of a heart attack in 1993... nothing like seeing the people you care about just go away right before your eyes, I'll tell you.....

I love Ibanez guitars.... they are so effortless to play, and once you put in the right pickups it sounds like GOD. I never liked Gibsons... and I own a squire strat so Fenders are okay by me....

This is a HUGE mistake.... I agree that the Pistons brass must have been in panic mode to fire someone who had shown significant progress in two years.... even with Darko coming in, this may be a huge mistake for the Pistons... I live in the detroit area, so I guess those rumors about Rick Carlisle threatening to be fired if they had lost to the Magic were true.... The Pistons ran into a proverbial buzzsaw with the Nets, and while a lot of the blame has to fall on the head coach, to fire him after a pretty strong playoff run was a kneejerk reaction to say the least. Just goes to show that even success and progress is cold comfort when your head is in the guillotine.

what about Jerry Blackwell as the worst? Thinking about it, its just a shame that Show had let himself go.... just like Andre back in the day he had decent mobility for a man his size... I saw the Biography on pro wrestling and they did a little piece on Andre and they show him literally chasing Bobby Heenan out of the ring and the big man was *moving*. Amazing.

Arn at least knew when to do that.. the War Games was perfect timing as Dusty had been on the offense for three out of the first five minutes in the cage.... The Rock is responsible for the Stone Cold Stunner sell in SYM.. it always cracks me up to see the victim of that move roll three-quarters of the way around the ring before finally coming to rest... Flair was the king of selling and sometimes overselling... Rock is the master of it now... Benoit is good at it.... The first time I saw Bret take that chest-first turnbuckle bump, I thought he had crushed his sternum.... I'm surprised that no one mentioned Savage, especially against Hogan back in the day.... The Iron Sheik's convulsions in the middle of the ring were just hilarious. When it was time for him to get beat down Duggan was pretty decent at selling that he was dead.... like when Savage dropped like 5 or 6 top rope elbows on him, for a second I though Savage had killed him....

Very very true, Rob. I personally don't think he did it either, my own theory on what happened is that they had consensual sex and then she decided to trap him or blackmail him and when he said no, she started he ball rolling to get him convicted. If I remember the case right, quite some time had passed between that night and when she called the authorities... but she made a sympathetic figure, and Mike was already starting to unravel by that point... combine that with a couple of other things working against Mike, and boom... three year jail sentence. Everything that has happened to him afterwards is the result of his own unbalanced mind and the horrible advice of the people around him, not to even mention being financially fleeced by Don King... and even then I have to point the finger back at Mike, because of the insane Michael Jackson-type of life that he was living. I may not have grown up in the ghetto all my life, but I was close enough to it to know that once you get the money and ability to get out, you ran away from it as fast as you could and you lifed your lifestyle as much of an opposite from your upbringing as you could, whether you could afford it or not. The long this goes on, the sadder and more distressing it is.

Um Hercules and Paul Roma did it back in the late 80s/early 90's as Power and Glory... They weren't a bad tag team, those two.
