They are GOOD. It's almost like DS9 never went off the air after 7 years.. what got me back into them was the Section 31 series that covered all the series except for Enterprise. Ro is a Lieutenant. ::makes a mental note to hit the Waldenbooks this weekend::

FWIW, welcome to the forums, Russina... and may whatever gods you revere have mercy on your soul.

Damn, Poet, now I have to go and buy Ship of the Line, just so I can see Picard get his vengance..

the Varleans situation was just screwed up.... though I loved the way Taz punked him out verbally at the time... Taz yelling "Come on! Bring it! You don't belong here!" all the time while cops and security held Varleans back was funny as hell, though... back in those days I thought of Taz as a legit badass.. I shivered every time I saw the show intro where he give Mikey whipwreck a Taz-pleax and you see mikey's head at one angle while the reast of him is at another....

anything by Rush from 1980-1982... anything after that was a little suspect because they kind of fell in love with synths and sequencers... But Turn the Page (Hold Your Fire, 1989), The Body Electric (Distant Early Warning, 1984) and Territories (Power Windows, 1985) were excellent songs.

::chuckles because the local Farmer Jack had 12 packs on sale for $1.88, and a 12 pack will last me for a week:: The more I drink it, the more I like it...

Sheesh... and to think I asked you the other night to do a banner as well, Yuna

That's a shame, but while its an indictment on the Sixers players (AI heads up that crew), I have to give Brown credit for at least saying that he would hold the franchise back.... You're only a good teacher if the student will listen. AI and Brown butted heads too many times over too many things. I had thought after seeing that phenomenal run the Sixers went on in the second half of the season that AI had actually started to listen to what Larry was saying, but apparently too little, too late.... ah well... Cleveland would be a good place for Brown as that is for the most part a young team, but while LeBron might listen to him, its getting guys like Ricky Davis and Darius Miles to listen.

no need for the III, its a cool sounding name as is.

Add the fact that night after night, week after week Dreamer would get *this close* to winning the title and Raven would pull out something to ensure the victory, more often than not it was Stevie Richards ... That feud went just long enough that you cared, but it didn;t get boring or stale, because Dreamer every so ofter got a measure of revenge, until one night Dreamer finally won the title from Raven.... classic feud....

I called it when I said that I was interested in going to see it, its Carrey BEING FUNNY again. Perfect timing for that movie.

I read a spot-on article about what HHH said on byte this... the guy writing the article is by his own words a HHH apologist, but he had had enough of HHHe-Man's crap after he spewed his venom on Byte This. A great read.

I liked Parasite Eve in that it was just different enough from FF to make it a welcome respite.. I haven't even started to play FFX... hell I don;t have the time to devote, I still never finished VII, never mind playing VIII, and I started IX, but lost interest quickly. I should finish Parasite Eve and go through Parasite Eve 2... I hope they make a PE3 at some point.

I usually click on new topics and click on topics that are either interesting or that I'm following and then wander through the board.. I can usually kilk 4 to 5 hours of my work shift that way, then its time for my lunch break, then I come back and check out what has been posted in the meantime.....

Ordinary Word by Duran Duran... I hear that song and its over for me. Drive by the cars used to do the same thing, the video was good because it showed Paulina Porizkova showing a hella range of emotion...

Brian Caraway (insert seed joke here)

You could slam Andre with any wrestler but you had to inflict hella damage first.... Hogan and Warrior were easiest....

heh, my mind is just going off on tangent after tangent... Okay, which of the Arcade-released wrestling games were the best and worst and why? Best (tie):Mat Mania/WWF Wrestlefest. Mat Mania and its sequel, Mania Challenge were simple but still fun to play. My favorite tactic in Mania Challenge was to use the running clothesline from behind as a finisher. Towards the end of the match, when you have your opponent beat to hell, you stun them with punches, manuever behind them and do a running clothesline. A bit cheesy, but fun to do. With Wrestlefest I liked the three-stage progression of maneuvers, going from basic ones like snapmares and body slams, working up to atomic drops and pildedrivers, then finally using the wrestler's finisher. The best team in the game was DiBiase and The Ultimate Warrior, and I could finish the game regularly with them. That game have excellent depth for its time, which was 1991. Worst: Wrestlemania: The Arcade Game. at first I was ecstatic that Midway would do a wrestling game, but when I saw that it was a gimmicky combo machine instead of something that could have been decent had they been serious about it, I was very disappointed by it. Thoughts? Opinions?

Okay the talk about another D&D movie being made got my mind thinking in another direction. What was the best/worst game-to-movie translastion you have seen? I am very hesitant to throw anime in the mix, because all of the game/anime translations they do are at the very least decent to watch. Best - Mortal Kombat Worst (tie) - Mortal Kombat: Annihilation/Dungeons & Dragons Your takes?

Hah, and I though that chaotic way he does some things was just his character... This is another e-diary we need to put up here regularly. That was quite entertaining and insightful.
-
Ah yes, the Main Event.... only WWF Superstars and Wrestlefest took more of my money... A simple game, but so hard to master.... Unless your had El Condor and a quick button mashing hand.. (Master of the Figure-Four Leg Lock)

Rudo, you're so good at this, its scary.

there was a cheap-ass game that Sega put out, and I can't think of the name... I tried like hell to beat that game and could not, but I loved the variations of the characters and moves... I'll have to check it out when I get home... the moves were pretty good, especially your wrestler's finsher, the 30 foot vertical leaping piledriver... anyone remember that one?
-
Exactly... the thing that made it even worse than it was was that it had been several years since a good wrestling game had come out in the arcades.. and Midway put out that piece of crap, looking to cash in on the success of the MK franchise... back then, Midway could really do no wrong...

Ah yes, the good ole days of atari 2600... when everyone and their mother could program crappy 2600 games...
