I live on the west coast and have never experienced a hurricane in my life which I guess adds to my interest in hurricanes, but anyways, I'm curious to know if anyone here has any hurricane season stories (good or bad).

Oh, correction: AoO didn't care enough to object to it.

Holy shit 9 days! I forgot all about it. I'm going to try to actually watch the Summer Olympics seeing as I didn't watch the Sydney Games. The 1996 I remeber liking and the 2002 Winter one Iactaully enjoyed. I got to be honest, though, I'm not really excited about anything (all the events are pretty good), except for the gymnastics portion. The balance beam, eneven bars, vault, pommel horse, parallel bars. It's all good. I'm not the only one am I?

What type of ring attire would you suggest he get then? British Bulldog's "British Luger" style tights? What's wrong with what he had before this? Um...what he's wearing now basically IS what he wore before... He just added a top to them. I honestly think his old black with dark purple trim trunks are better than his red and blue 'Taz singlet''. I wish he would go back to them because he honestly looked bad out there. Regal with his good outfit (ignore the rest)

But under this system, RAW would get No Way Out, which was a Smackdown PPV last year. So? It can change as we've seen.. Vengeance was a SD ppv last year, but wasn't this year. Exactly. NWO will apparently be RAW, while Backlash will be SD!. From there it all depends if they add more PPVs like this year or what.

I've been here since the begining (actually since The SmarKboard - "the blue one with the goofy background") and I don't even remember where or why all the animosity started. That being said, let me add a EDIT: Jesus, come on...

Jesus Christ. SummerSlam - CO Unforgiven - RAW No Mercy - SD! Halloween Havoc - RAW Survivor Series - CO Armageddon - SD! That's the official order guys.

Eddie Guerrero is a grand slam champion...
Markme123 replied to UZI Suicide's topic in The WWE Folder
Actually it's the "WWE Grand Slam" only WWE titles. The Bitch (The Bitch?) is absolutley correct it has nothing to do with KotRs or Royal Rumbles. Exactly. Eddie has won all 4 but I wouldn't the count the wins after the brand split (tag and World) because of the different titles now used. Until WWE acknowledges a new GS champion I think the only ones are Michaels, HHH, and Jericho. -
Yikes. True MotherFucking Love Still, Vince really should be up for Humanitarian of the Year...

1. The Iron Man match next week will probably be better than Angle/Lesner since Benoit>Angle and, in terms of psychology and experience, HHH>Lesner. 2. Orton is one of the best things of RAW. Look back at his matches from last year and even 6 months ago and tell me he isn't improving. Batista is not at the level of Orton but is improving greatly. He is not only a credible monster, but the coolest looking one. 3. JBL is trying hard and succeeding in selling himself to the marks, which is what matters. 4. The last 2 Smackdown! have been tremendous with decent matches and more cuiserweight esposure. 5. I am interested in what they will do with Eugene next. Surely an Evolution v. a combination of Edge/Jericho/Regal/Benoit/Eugene match will occur. 6. Paul London finally has an opportunity to show us what he's got. 7. The RAW announcers dress in suits. It was a small change but JR and King both look much more professional in suits calling a match. It would bug me so much when JR wouldn't even dress up for PPVs anymore. Back in the day JR would at least bust out the suit on PPV while wearing his red and black RAW IS WAR jacket on RAW. After he came back in 99 he would only always dress up in his WWF black long sleeve shirt while Jerry would look stupid in his purple and god jacket with gold tights. Thank god for the new dress code.

Weekly? I haven't heard any info on Vince trying the weekly PPV thing again. This is just a way to experiment if people will buy a Raw and SD! PPV in the same month. The Great American Bash did better than expected which would be good news for them going into October. The big difference is that it's on a Tuesday and it may or may not draw. In the past most WWF PPVs used to almost never be run on Sundays, but with today's fans it might not work.

SNL does not deserve and Emmy this year Conan is repetetive but has been on a creative upswing this past year I plain don't get Letterman The Daily Show is smart, funny, has won before (I think), and is probably the favorite Chappelle's Show is controversial, funny, and should win but probably won't which is a shame Oh, and it would be a tragedy if Spader and Shatner don't win. They are both fantastic.

Firebird Splash is indeed the Japanese name for a 450 splash. HartFan86 is thinking of the Stardust Press AKA Phoenix Splash (450 splash starting in the moonsault position)

1. Shoichi Funaki defeated Spike Dudley in 6 minutes, 35 seconds with a backslide. 2. Billy Gunn defeated Mark Jindrak in 5 minutes, 40 seconds with the Fameasser. 3. Rob Van Dam & Rey Misterio Jr. defeated Chavo Guerrero Jr. & Jamie Knoble in 11 minutes, 54 seconds when RVD pinned Chavo after the Five-Star Frog Splash and Misterio pinned Knoble with a springboard legdrop at the same time. 4. Luther Reigns defeated Charlie Haas in 5 minutes, 41 seconds with a swinging neckbreaker drop. 5. Handicap match: The Undertaker defeated The Dudley Boys in 15 minutes, 2 seconds when Taker used a Tombstone Pile Driver on D-Von for the win. 6. John Cena defeated Rene Dupree in 7 minutes, 21 seconds with the FU. 7. WWE Tag Titles Match: Paul London & Billy Kidman defeated Johnny Stamboli & Nunzio in 7 minutes, 18 seconds when London used the Firebird Splash on Nunzio for the win. 8. Dawn Marie defeated Torrie Wilson in 3 minutes, 11 seconds by using the ropes on the pin attempt for leverage for the win. 9. WWE Heavyweight Title Match: Eddy Guerrero defeated John Bradshaw Layfield in 17 minutes, 3 seconds by disqualification when Kurt Angle did a run-in. Crowd was hot for the match, with "JBL sucks" chants and "Eddie" calls. Finish saw a chair shot sequence, which lead to Kurt Angle running in for the DQ. The Undertaker came out, then Rene Dupree and Luther Reigns came out. The "big surprise" promised was the appearance of Shane McMahon, who promised Undertaker & Guerrero vs. JBL & Kurt Angle for the 7/17 Nippon Budokan show (which has some tickets not sold). I'm 18 and getting ready to attend college in the fall. In the mean time I need $$$ bad. After applying at differnet places and them apparently not hiring at the moment, turn to a letter I recieved from Vector Marketing. They offer summer work opportunities for people in my situation and decieded to apply. I've got an interview July 2 at 6:30. Seeing as this is my first job interview I was wondering what I should wear, are there any colors I should stay away from, what should I ask, ect. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Shit, I'm kind of scared now. You're basically telling me that I'll have to be a door to door salesman? EDIT: Fuck that. Thanks for the heads up guys.

Why are 18-23 year olds even posting their ages on here? You obviously are not "the oldest poster on TSM" or even close. Don't we have a "How old are you" thread...

That cold-hearted bitch. FIGHT THE POWER!!!

I agree with Meltzer that with a better crowd and 10 minutes taken off, it would have been considered a classic. I liked it most of it and loved the selling towards the end of the match. They really sold the fact that they wrestled for ~50 minutes. Again, a hotter crowd would have helped. Like someone else said, HHH winning was neccessary right now as they have to get him ready for winning title at SummerSlam, but feud-wise, Shawn just looks bad now.

Holy shit that was funny...

This is what I've got from watching WWE television: He is human. He is married. He is human. He's slowly been adding more and more MMA moves to his arsenal since 2003. He is not obeying the will of the owner of the urn. He isn't aligning with Heyman because he has the urn, but because he want's his mentor/friend (Bearer) safe. The urn doesn't seem to have any power anymore, it is just a prop that represents the old days. Well after making the decision to go with the hybrid Undertaker, they couldn't just pretend that Biker Taker didn't happen; they had to think of a way to use the old school, supernatural Undertaker persona and the recent, real-person, "from Houston, TX" Undertaker. From watching Smackdown! I figure that he is still the regular Biker Taker, except that ever since he was buried alive he's been in a "different state of mind" as Michael Cole called it. Old school Undertaker is a state of mind I guess. Oh, and he's been paying off the pyro and effects guys...
