The whole story was that Rhino went through the monster's ball, the gauntlet, and then Jarrett kicked his BUTT, Jarrett had his cronies interfere like every time, hits Rhino with the guitar, and even with that, Rhino hits the gore at the right time and beats him. That's a fucking great story (and by the way, face/heel doesn't really matter in TNA where the crowd is cheering everyone who can wrestle worth a crap). I don't see why anyone couldn't give this a thumbs up unless they were expecting the BEST PPV EVAH. If Joe would have been in Rhino's spot you guys would have marked like little schoolgirls.
-
The ending went off fantastic. Nobody could believe Jarrett jobbed to Rhino. Anyone who says this was better than No Mercy is flat-out trolling. Easy thumbs up.

Bentley/Sabin knocked the X off the top and Williams caught it, in a nutshell. The bad thing is the belt fell off right before it happened (by accident). So they rehung it and went right to that spot, which totally messed up the flow.

Joe/Liger was pretty good considering what shape liger is... it needed 5 more minutes. I was surprised Liger flew as much as he did. Pretty near Kobashi/Joe heat for that one.

They only evacuate the coasts usually. Orlando is inland and should be fine (the Hurricane is going to past south of there in all likelihood). By the way... if anyone wants to chat about the PPV live, you can do it here . Just click the link and hit the join button. Or if you know what I mean when I say "IRC", it's irc.efnet.net #tna.

Same sort of thing Nash was 'suffering' with before Starrcade in 1997. Of course, that turned out to be heartburn. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's not unlikely that a 6'10" guy who's 46 and has used steroids may have some heart problems.

I've been feeling sad over WWE depriving me of Paul Burchill's best work, to be honest with you. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He's good? Go figure. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> http://www.fwaonlineplus.co.uk/mm/high/mon...momentshigh.zip Check these free videos out of him from the FWA site.

Meltzer: "They have a pretty loaded line-up for the special which includes a title match, an X Division trios match and a strong Samoa Joe singles match."
-
Unless the Hurricane moves much farther North than expected or the water really warms up, it's not going to be a huge deal in Orlando. They should be able to get everything in.

Usually people stay in OVW for about 4-6 weeks after debuting on SD, so we will get a proper blowoff to the angle.
-
This show definitely needs to be the calibur of a good weekly PPV from back in the day, with a couple "big matches". This is essentially a test run for a Primetime TNA show, so they can't blow it. I like their chances to deliver in a huge way, especially with Liger being there.

Here's the 10/15/05 TV Show: Last week, DABOOGEYMAN returned, coming out of a box. Bobby Lasheley proceeded to squash his ass! Hooray! LET THE BODIES... HIT THE FLOOR! The Tolands v.s. Seth Skyfire/Chet the Jet - OVW Southern Tag Team Titles The Tolands are ridiclously roided up since their WWE debut was on Smackdown. Boring match that really picked up at the end, enough to get a couple snowflakes. Anyway, Skyfire/Chet win the belts, Tolands tease like they're going to deck them but then put the belts on their shoulders. Aaron "The Idol" Stevens is out with his hoes. He says it doesn't matter that he lost to Chris Cage on a live event because he's banging two women. He says he injured Chris Cage and he won't be able to compete tonight. Cage comes out and says he wants to wrestle anyway. I guess this is a match because they send a ref out, but Stevens gives Cage a neckbreaker on the exposed concrete floor and they do the injury angle schtick. Damn, this show already feels longer than TNA, probably because there's very few actual commericals. Johnny Jeter is backstage talking to "the fixer Jillian Hall". Jillian has no mole (hooray!) as we can see when she quickly turns around, but Jeter sells like she still has one. Anyway, Jeter asks Jillian to be her fixer and stop Matt Cappotelli (who is coming back FINALLY from his injury in 2 weeks to face Jeter) now that mister KENNEDY, KENNEDY is "injured" and can't be his backup. Jillian blows him up. CM Punk v.s. Elijah Burke. I thought this would be really good but it wasn't. Burke called way too much of this match. Doug Basham apparently wrestled Punk last week and Punk cheated to win. Basham went to shake his hand anyway and Punk blew him off. Mo Green and Doug Basham come out. Basham does commentary and his gimmick is he's the "superstar of superstars". Mo Green distracts the ref while Doug Basham goes after Burke and helps CM Punk win! Anyway Doug Basham signs a poloroid for CM Punk and goes to shake his hand again but Punk no-sells it and rips up the photo of Basham. Backstage, it's the lovely MARIA! She runs down the awesome happenings tonight. She gets in a little fight with Sosay until PAUL BURCHILL pulls her into Johnny Jeter's lockeroom. Jeter whines to Burchil about Jillian and Burchill says he'll be Jeter's new backup, long story short. Jeter says it doesn't matter what Danny Davis says, Burchill with face Cappotelli in his first match back, blah blah blah. Jeter leaves and Burchill tries to put the mack on Maria but is interruppted by a strange knock on the door. "Candygram!" "Special Delivery for Paul Burchill", etc. Burchill opens the door and it's Matt Cappotelli who owns him with the crutch! "THE REDNECK MESSIAH" Jamie Noble v.s. Deuce Shade. Yes! It's Jamie Noble. Yes, they call him THE REDNECK MESSIAH on the air! Sadly this match sucked. Just noble doing his WWE act. sad.gif Noble does the job just to rub it in. Snow does the burial of Noble at the end of the match like only he can. "The Shooter" Brent Albright/Bobby Lasheley v.s. Ken Doane/Dean Visk (w/ Kenny Bolin and Sosay) (no DQ Texas Tornado Tag Team Match) Albright is dangerously close to having a mullet. Albright runs out first like an idiot and Lasheley has to run down and save him. Doane eventually RKO's Lasheley off the apron and kos him for like five minutes while Doane/Visk work on Albright. Lasheley gets up and cleans house. Bolin hits him with the briefcase for no effect. Eventually Dean Visk pins Lasheley somehow (his first pin/submission loss in OVW). Dean Hill and Al Snow announce next week, it'll be Bobby Lasheley v.s. Dean Visk, and in two weeks, officially it'll be Jeter v.s. Cappotelli for the OVW Title in Matt's first match back. Jeter comes out (wearing a Derek Jeter Yankees jersey in a nice touch) and throws a shitfit, then cuts a money promo as we fade out.

The inevitable JBL v.s. "the juniors" feud where he tries to get them all deported is going to suck hard.

Raw's being replayed on Telemundo in Spanish under the new deal, so that should tell you all you need to know. They think they can boost the ratings there and bring in more hispanic viewers by bringing in some lucha guys (and having the seperate show in Spanish gives them a vehicle). I wonder if they'll tape a lucha match or two and edit it into the Spanish Raw broadcast? If the lucha guys stay in their own little world like they did on Super Astros, it could work.

Can't wait for the McMahons v.s. Hogans Survivor Series Match!
-
The bottom of the card is very talented and great over there, but they get zero time on Smackdown. There also could be a decent tag division (Mexicools, FBI, Regal/Burchill, MNM, Kendrick/London, OLD).
-
Sounds like pure bullshit to me. Who the hell reads gerweck.net? Why is there a plug for the site in this story? Why would TNA care what Raven said on a hotline that 5 people might call? Why has no one else posted this? Why is this up on the TNA website?

JR's promo ripping on Vince on WWE.com is pretty great and ripping on them for wanting a pretty boy who didn't have a southern accent.

Who would be "R"? for RECK? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Rob Conway

The big things that jump out at me is: 1) No match from Stampede Wrestling 2) No match against Flair 3) No Canadian Stampede 10-man tag.

Kennedy used a Swanton as his finisher in OVW. He can fly a bit. I did mark for that and him doing a couple Samoa Joe spots right after that. The CW battle royal was awesome... definitely well worth your while to watch. It breaks down to 3 or 4 guys pretty quickly. Juvy is godly. Even with WWE crapping on it, they have a pretty good CW division if they'd push it with Juvy, Psicosis, Super Crazy, London, Guido, and Kendrick. That's not even counting Rey or doing the right thing and moving Tajiri to SD.
-
Very decent show. 3-way was better than last week. I was real impressed with Aries. AMW v.s. Team 3-D was a hot tag match. Ray and Devon hit major gushers juicing so the beatdown at the end was good. Nash getting choked out was markworthy.

Depending on how the court case shakes out, the thinking is that Lesnar may be shared between NJPW and TNA, since wrestling in Japan isn't a full-time gig (they only tour for a couple weeks at a time).

Joey Styles is allegedly reporting on 1wrestling in his audio update that: 1. Golberg will replace Ross on Raw 2. Lawler will be let go 3. Joey Styles will replace Mike Goldberg as lead UFC announcer.

That's hilarious because his strength is his interviewing and charisma, not his wrestling. No way he could wrestle lucha style (he can't even wrestle WWE style!)
