Someone seriously needs to put that promo of Angle up on Youtube... they did an insanely good job with it.

He's obviously not under a no-compete since he appeared in a promo. And wrestling hard once a month is a lot safer for Angle than MMA.

I think Meltzer is being shut out of this one. He even thought Russo was the big surprise. Meltzer only knows as much as D'Amore and Tenay know, and now they're out of the loop big-time.

This is going to be the last Smackdown on the stations that are switching to "MyNetwork TV", so look for them to totally dog it for the next 3 weeks or so as far as Smackdown goes.

The right wrestlers and the right storylines. WWE is still living in the past and rehashing stale storylines since they haven't pushed people properly to fill spots. The circlejerk booking they've been doing for the past 5-6 years is really catching up to them now. When you look down the roster and see that Booker and Batista have nobody to feud with other than each other, and Cena/Edge only have HHH to feud with, you know the roster is in big trouble. They had to rely on Flair, Foley, Hogan, and the McMahons to fill out Summerslam.

His offensive moveset sucks, but he's fine other than that. He's at his best in a tag team.

Nearly two years ago (2004), back when they did the "Cena got stabbed in a nightclub by Jesus" angle to explain him leaving to film the movie.

Yeah, he's just a company shill at this point. We know what he'd do if he had power from these interviews, but it's not going to happen.

Yeah, Shelley/Nash/Devine and Eric Young have both been great. LAX is really good now that Homicide is 100%, too. Konnan's doing some great work on the mic.

Hopefully they put Edge/Lita/Nitro/Melina together for a while... they've got potential as a stable (maybe add a person or two down the road). I guess Foley's a defacto member if they'd start a stable, anyway.

Doane and Jeter are great. Jeter's the same size as Jericho when he's wearing wrestling boots and not cheerleader shoes. Mikey Mondo is a good comedy wrestler or could be a good crusierweight if WWE actually cared about such things. Mitchell and Nemeth are fairly worthless at this point.

Dude is definitely on some heavy-duty roids... he blew up like crazy when he was in OVW size-wise.

As one of the biggest Hulk Hogan fans that you'll ever meet, that's great news for me! I hope there's some Hogan in New Japan stuff on this DVD set... Hogan v.s. Stan Hansen and maybe Hogan v.s. Inoki or Hogan v.s. Andre for the nuclear crowd heat.

Yeah, that was one of Jarrett's best promos in a long time. Liked him denying he had anything to do with Larry Z/Hebner's actions and saying he'd take a lie detector/polygraph test to prove it.

Every week that goes by, I'm less interested in Raw, less interested in Smackdown, less interested in ECW, and TNA's decent shows start seeming good and good shows seem great with as bad as WWE's product is lately.

The only thing that would have really helped is OVW was a helluva lot stronger talent wise with guys who were close to ready to be called up in September/October of 05. Guys like Ken Kennedy, Estrada, Johnny Jeter, Ken Doane, Mike Mondo, Brent Albright, Lashley, Maria all hadn't been stuck on Raw or Smackdown yet. Punk was on his way in too. Dan Puder would have been around too, so you would have had a built-in feud for Kurt Angle. Not that they're giving Heyman much say in things (if they were, Albright would be in ECW instead of back in OVW) now, but you had a lot more strong talent to right the ship and build around that the ECW fanbase would have accepted.

I agree that it's went all the way around. People want to see Joe kick Jarrett's ass, so yes, I'd say it's good heat again. If he has the title for too long it could easily turn into "go-away heat".

Actually, if Heyman had his way, it'd be... vs Which already happened in OVW.

No, but he's our best hope right now, apart from Vince going into a coma or something.

I actually thought that ending was moderately creative, and made lemonade out of lemons. This show is still a goner though.

Honestly, assuming Sabu/RVD get depushed/suspended for a few weeks, they don't have much of a choice as to whether to push him or not.
