    Stuff that was so bad

I remember on Nitro once, Larry Zbysko went on some insane tangent, I can't even recall what it was about. Schiavonne and Tenay, looked at each other with a "what the hell" look on their face, then Schiavonne looked at the camera giving a "don't ask me" shrug. When Zbysko finished, they just totally dropped it moving right on to the next segment. Schiavonne's look was what I found really funny because it was like one of those parts in a movie where they look to the camera and talk directly to the audience.

    Mania XX Scenarios

This one really jumped out at me. Leading into the biggest PPV of all time the gold should be the focal point. A WWE champion who couldn't get the job done by himself and a former champion who can't be bothered getting his belt back to go into this PPV as the champ don't say that. It's not a bad angle, but the timing isn't right for it. This is something better suited for some lesser ppv's.

HTM slams Flair on his website

To defend this, you see the Figure Four was so painful on the straight leg that he didn't need to wear it down, the move itself accomplished this. By working on the other leg, he would have an opponent who was essentially helpless because once the FF was applied, he'd have both his legs taken out. It's true that if he worked the straight leg he may get a faster submission, but this was a contingency plan in case the opponent somehow was able to withstand the pain. You damn right. I can't think of anyone who could consistently put on entertaining matches with any opponent. The bottom line for me is how much I was entertained, Flair rarely failed to accomplish it.
  5. I always looked at as one of those moves that's meant to get a 2-count. I don't recall ever seeing Jericho beat anybody with it. He regularly got wins with it in the WCW Cruiser division, but I can't recall a single clean finish in the WWE(f). I know he's won a couple, but that's only after a chair shot/interference/double team beatdown, etc. The only credible win I remember him getting with it was when he and Benoit took the tag belts from Austin/HHH. But that was a long match and it made sense that a Lionsault could have finished it.

    Funny picture for Lawler haters

  7. There's one spot in any kind of battle royal that is designed to create drama, but like everything else, it's so overused with little to no payoff that it's just a boring waste of time. I'm talking about the spot where one wrestler goes into the ropes, has one of his legs draped over the top rope, then one or more competitors then spend 30 seconds to 5 minutes trying to heave the rest of him over. I understand the use of it because there's simply not enough room to have 10 separate wrestling tie-ups going, but it's done so often, and I can't remember ever seeing anyone tossed out from it. This leads to my question: has anyone ever been eliminated during one of these spots? I remember TBS getting knocked out a few weeks back by 10-20 guys in a variation of it, but that's the only one from the past 5 years that really comes to mind. Am I just missing and forgetting something here? Another query to have fun with: Why is it that a wrestler doing a standard run into the ropes suddenly loses his balance and goes hurtling over the top rope when it's been pulled down a quarter of an inch?

    gaining weight

That's the only trick that's done it for me. I tried eating a hell of a lot but my metabolism and activity level never let much weight build up. One summer I was playing on 5 different teams and that meant that I was drinking 5 or 6 beers every night. I put on about 20 pounds that summer, fortunately my activity level made it mostly muscle gain and not gut gain. This obviously isn't the best or suggested way to go, but it did work for me.

    Heatless Wonders

I say stick em on RAW every week to stop everyone moaning about Randy Orton. Does anyone even remember the NAMES of these guys off the top of your head. That was what pissed me off the most about that segment. It was stupid shitty lazy booking but that's all we're getting now so whachagonnado. But they could have used two rookies that they actually want to do something with. Have them come out boasting about their glorious hard fought victory over one of the all time best tag teams in history. It introduces two new heels and gives the Duds something to do other than title fued part 2,568. At the very least the subsequent Dudley beat would get a pop. Instead we're left with the same four guys in the same fued.

Need ripping software for audio cd's

Excellent. Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks
  11. I got a new computer with Windows XP home edition, but my old ripping software doesn't work for it. I was using MP3 Workshop on my old system, but when I try it now I get an error message: "Couldn't get CD drive handle". I don't know if this is just some setting I can't see or something more. I'm just looking for a basic program that lets me extract songs from my cd's, preferably freeware. I checked twocows.com but couldn't find anything. Thanks for the help.

Steve Austin on Smackdown in Bagdad

They won't. That's the most likely scenario, ignore it and hope it goes away. If they are forced to say something, then I'd guess for a quick kayfabe break where they say it was a one shot, special treat for the brave men and women of the armed forces.

    Biggest disappointments of 2003

An injured cripple holding the belt for the majority of the year. A dominant champion, even HHH, could have been a good thing. But on top of looking like absolute shit in his matches, he did a horrid job as the champ who doesn't wrestle. Eddie being thrown back to a midcard quasi comedy act. He was insanely over in the mid-summer, hometown or not, that El Paso pop was completely off the charts. He's in a fued with a hot commodity in John Cena that could still be running now, advancing them both. Instead they end it in a way making them both look weak: Eddie needing help, Cena not getting revenge, strip the tag title, throw him in a fued with Big Show, strip the US title, and make him a funny silly hispanic while they do a slow burn on the Chavo break up.

    Heat Thread

Did anyone else catch the part where Snow said that with Coach having his one arm hurt, it cuts his sex life in half... and Coach emphatically agreed with him? I guess they don't listen to themselves either.

Exactly. That's why they make chocolate and vanilla ice cream, some people just like crappy ice cream.

Today is Big Show's two-month anniversary winning

The writers are the only ones who have a hope of restoring any credit to the belt. The problem is they have no idea what they're doing. If they happen to luck into something where the belt gains some momentum, such as Eddie's start, then they go and fuck it up by slapping it on a useless slug hoping for the heat transfusion. Good writing can make up for bad workrate. Good workrate will make for good matches, but it can't make up for bad writing. If there's no storyline to garner interest, then it's just another in a long line of good but meaningless matches.

    Announcers Ignoring Fans

Yeah I bet JR really loved that him getting his faced shoved into Vince's ass by UT to help turn him didn't do jackshit overall to turn UT heel. It's so stupid how they continually use performers that nobody gives two shits about to help a heel turn. Another example would be Stone Cold kicking the shit out of Michael Cole. Most of the crowd would have liked to have done it themselves so it's not like it got Austin any hatred.

    Good news!

Don't celebrate too quickly. #1 is reported on 1Bob, nuf said. #2 With the hard on that Vince has for the guy, he'll throw enough money his way to bring him back.

    15 G's on Benoit!

That's somewhat the feeling I got from it. I saw it as being Albert knew just what kind of tough and determined SOB Benoit is after the program they just finished up.

    John Heidenreich..

How long was the contract for anyways? You'd think Vince would learn after Mark Henry and TBS to stay out of long term contracts. It's not like he has to worry about his talent walking over to the competition anymore.

    MDG Computers

There's a Canadian manufacturer MDG computers. They've got a pretty good deal going for their systems so I'm interested, but I wanted some first hand reviews first. I know it will be a piece of shit, but for what I use it for, a piece of shit is all I need. I'm just worried about the thing breaking down and not working at all. Anybody have one? What are the good points and bad points of them? Thanks

So who gets to job to the Cat next week?

It's short for one legged man i believe. And THE OLM is Zack Gowen. Thanks

    *WWE News*

Typical WWE logic, put Miller in the ring rather than something where all he has to do is talk. I guess there saving the talking spot for Benoit.
  24. evilhomer

So who gets to job to the Cat next week?

I've got a brain freeze going here and it's driving me nuts, who is the OLM? I can't see them having anyone job to Miller. He's an entertaining performer but horrid in the ring. Of course that never stopped them before so I'll say they'll give Kanyon his semi-annual Smackdown appearance.

Who gets the Rumble title match?

I'm hoping there going to go with the slow build on Cena so that there will be a lot of anticipation to his eventual title shot (a shot where it can believed that he has a legitimate chance). Bob Holly is Bob fucking Holly so there's no way that there putting him into the main event of the #3 PPV of the year. Benoit has been built up strong for the past few months, plus you're virtually guaranteed that the two of them will put on a good match. The downside, as was mentioned, is that a loss would tumble him back down to the midcard and at this stage of his career, I don't think he'd ever be a Heavyweight Champ contender again. I doubt there ready to let Benoit run with the championship so at best he'd have a one month reign, if he gets it at all. Overall though, Benoit is the best choice to go with of the contenders.
