We've become billionaires because of that?!? .... God these people are morons.

You do realise that they used the remix at WWE/ECW, right? I'm not sure exactly what you mean. My point is they took his old theme, cut out the "du du" and pasted it together. They could have redone it so that it flowed better.
-
Indeed, even more amusing was on the replay where they picked the perfect angle to completely show this fact.

Cena's the brawler, RVD's the spot monkey. It's a hell of a lot easier to get more time in on the brawl than to figure out a way to make umpteen spots plausible. The offence was split very well for the styles of the two competitors. RVD couldn't hang with the stronger, "tougher" Cena, but he got the more potent offence in when the time came. The music was a major piss off. I wasn't expecting all the old real songs, but I figured they could at least spring for the fees to give Balls his entrance, and definately Sandman. His routine without the right music just doesn't work. Angle's entrance really sucked as well, I guess they wanted to avoid the "you suck" chants, but they could have given him a rewrite rather than just butchering a recording of his old theme.

Great Interview With Paul Heyman About ECW
evilhomer replied to QuestionMan's topic in The WWE Folder
I'd say it's more of a one week thing, it's entertaining for a lot of fans because it's what they've been thinking, but after it's said the first time, put up and shut up. -
Bullshit. If you want to come in and through out an opinion like that, put in at least one sentence to support the opinion. Besides a severely diminished name power, I can't see a single thing that he added to the roster.

Apologies for pissing on a warm grave, but I always hated "Latino Heat". Mostly because of fucking Lawler and his annoying voice and manner, the fact that it stemmed from an angle with Chyna (Eddy was golden but Chyna was.... Chyna), and, personal opinion, I simply thought it was stupid.

I prefer RD Reynolds name for it - "The Pushkiller".

Since I've been drawing a lot of comparisons between Joe and Steve Austin's original lonewolf babyface gimmick, I'll draw another parallel here. Austin didn't wrestle a single match between August and November of 1997 (the Owen piledriver) and probably did more to get over in that timespan than he did in the previous year. Hopefully, if Joe has to miss any ringtime, his face will still be all over Impact. Put him up in the rafters and let him stalk Sting for over a year.

Batista and Booker T get into a fight?
evilhomer replied to CheesalaIsGood's topic in The WWE Folder
Vince has forgotten that for a fued or even a match to be interesting, there has to be some belief that either guy could win. One guy winning every time kills any drama leading to the finish. -
It was his debut and he is a monster, it would be completely ridiculous to have his moves no sold. Booking 101, make the heel look like he can take the face out. No selling his moves right would put his career death on an even faster track. Of course, not that that would have been a bad thing.

I think it was devastating. Didn't it separate Patterson's shoulder? I think it also messed up the ribs on one of the HLA girls. I think that was a thrust kick. A thrust kick too stiff for a 230 lb man, let alone a 110 girl.
-
The irony of that was that the Kevin Nash rip-off beat Kevin Nash. And the winner of the match... KEVI... TEST! Heh heh, he said "suck seed" heh heh Never mind.

First, I realize this is a year late. I never bothered seeing it in the theatre and just recently caught it on sat. Okay, so what is so great about this movie? I understand different tastes, humour is a personal thing and that bullshit, but this was "the funniest movie of the year", "one of the funniest of all time", huge press about how great and funny it was. Besides a bit of juvenile toilet humour, I found nothing, absolutely nothing funny about it. It was nothing more than a waste of two hours and overall just one of the worst movies I've ever seen. What am I missing here? What was so funny and had everyone raving about this "great" movie?
-
That was one of the things I hated most about the movie. I was hoping for something different, but they just made it so painfully obvious that it was coming and impossible to avoid that I just sat there waiting for them to get it over with. Will Ferrell was the best part of the movie but that was the juvenile crap I was talking about, nothing that's going to make a movie great. From the comments, I guess my problem with the movie is that I simply don't like Vince Vaughn. If I could appreciate his style, I'd probably like it better.

Shouldn't the management skills improve for it to be called an evolution? It's more De-evolution Oh come on, it's a great look at the improvments made in breast implants.
-
wasn't he one of the guys dressed like a giant penis in early TNA? No, I think he's the love child of Ricky Steamboat and Ahmed Johnson; a distant cousin of Shawn Mickles.
-
Nice touch. Would it kill you to TRY and be positive about the product? I die a little bit inside everytime I'm let down at the prospect of being entertained, so you never know, it just might.
-
You've obviously forgotten that the Steph thing never happened.
-
Well said. On top of what you mentioned I particularly like his view on the tag division. It's been rendered completly useless on the Raw side.
-
I think he was trying to look creepy, what with the paint and all, but you're right, it's hard to picture the man smiling and laughing I dunno, to me that looks like a guy who just doesn't know how to smile, at least not for a camera.

Heenan would work for Perfect. Or Flair. Flair works better for Steamboat, Anderson and Rhodes before Curt, if only for his long history with those three. His legacy with Hening isn't as known and significant. I believe Heenan's perfect as he brings the comedy that will be needed and there's a credible connection with the two. I'd imagine Curt's father, Larry (if he is still alive, im not sure) would accept the award. The Flair/Steamboat classics didn't happen in the WWE, which means they didn't happen. (Unless of course it's going to sell a few dvd's).

[ No chance of it happening to HHH but I did like that spot, who would be a big enough asshole (without the clout to veto it) that could suffer the same fate this year?

WWE drops one talentless hoss, gains another...
evilhomer replied to The Czech Republic's topic in The WWE Folder
That's what I was thinking. People sure are quick to pull the trigger. I think we should at least be on a "wait and see" basis. Afterall, he can't be worse than Snitsky, Tomko, Heidenreich, Mark Henry & The Boogeyman. Hell, for all we know, talent wise, he could be the next Brock Lesnar. Didn't Nathan Jones have a martial arts background? Maybe he did, maybe he didn't, it's irrelevant to the point. The point is he's got more on his resume than height >6'6, as in there's some potential. Shit on him when some actual knowledge of his (lack of) ability starts rolling in. -
** 2006 WWE Televised Win-Loss Standings **
evilhomer replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in The WWE Folder
Not really, a useless wrestler is even more useless if all he does is job. He's an impressive figure so if he has a good record it really means something when he someone does beat him. For comparison sake, look at The Big Show. He was laughable a few years back, everybody was beating him. Despite his enormous size and presence, a win against him was worth nothing because anybody could and was doing it.
