    WWE SmackDown - October 10, 2008

I might be in the minority on this subject, but I hate it when 2 wrestlers have a bunch of non-title matches,(usually with the challenger winning most of them), before they have the actual title match.(Which Is usually won by the champion.) Not only is it a tired formula, but The WWE has really run this concept into the ground in recent years. I.E.- Chavo vs Punk for The ECW Title, Chavo vs Jimmy Wang Yang for The Cruiserweight Title, Wang/Shannon Moore vs Miz/Morrison for The Tag Team Titles, and now R-Truth vs Shelton Benjamin for The U.S. Title. It's just old and needs to be retired.(At least for a good while, imo.)

    Cornette Firing/Russo Hiring

I remember reading in the sheets at that time that McMahon let Russo sit in on one of his writers meetings.(Russo was writing for WWF Magazine at the time.) Russo wasn't apparently shy about expressing his feelings, and spoke up for things that he thought the writing team was doing wrong. Instead of being angry,(which would probably be his reaction today), McMahon was said to have been impressed with Russo for having the balls to do what he did. Shortly thereafter, Russo was promoted.

WWE General Discussion - October 2008

Another WWE mystery revealed, as it is made clear the creative team has no concept of midcard. A big reason I've been enjoying Raw since the draft this past summer is it seemed they were back to making mid-carders relevant again, such as Haas, Santino, Noble, etc. Looks like they're going back to the old formula of trotting out 1 dimentional, bland characters with no personalities or storylines out to the audience, then acting shocked when they don't get over.
  4. When The NWO merged factions again in early 1999 after "The Fingerpoke Of Doom." The Wolfpack Red and Black became for the elite, top tier stars, while The Black and White became a gang of jobbers and nobodies.
  5. It reeks of Brian Gerwertz's "comedy" And by "comedy", I mean shit that's not funny.
  6. Before, as I still remember that angle with then Raw Co-GM Austin coming out with a blanket and pillow during one of Storm's matches and said Lane was putting him to sleep.
  7. Lance Storm in The WWE when they started having him do his "Dancing Lance" routine, as well as pairing him in tag teams with Goldust and Val Venis. His WWE career, not surprisingly, ended soon after.

    Best pre match interviews?

Jeff Hardy before he faced The Undertaker in a Ladder Match for The WWE Title over 6 years ago. He was backstage with Matt and Lita, then starting screaming and spazzing out to get himself fired up for his first WWE Title/World Championship Match. I don't know if was my all time favorite pre match interview, but it sure as hell was memorable.
  9. The real unsolved mystery is what stupid ass judge would let that guy be able to be bailed out. Shoots a man 4 times including blowing his head off with a shotgun, runs through police barricades, add in the minor exposed himself to children and yet...the judge thought bail would be acceptable. Talk about a lousy judge. Fucking Seriously. They ought to start locking up some of these hippie asshole judges for stupid decisions such as these. Watching that story again, I'm really surprised the police didn't blow that lowlife away when he pulled that shotgun on them, as they were well within their rights to do so. It def. would've saved a lot of pain, time, and money, that's for sure.

Have they shown the twin on TV yet? I don't believe so. However, the last time Brie was in a tag match on SD against Victoria and Natalya, they made it so obvious that Brie has a twin that even the announcers suspected something was up.(without coming right out and saying it, of course.) Brie wasn't even halfway under the ring when her sister came out directly across from her on the other side. But yeah, they'll probably still have Victoria and Natalya wondering what the hell is going on.

Watching a few of the Austin/Kane videos just confused the fuck out of me... I really don't remember any of that shit. I can remember the awesome times of Maven as a heel or battling Evolution. Cool to see the Stunner no sold... Once Austin was making his comeback I was wondering how this didn't hurt Kane's unstoppable monster heel turn right out of the gates. I think during that time, Austin couldn't strike other wrestlers unless he was struck 1st. There was some rule made about that or some shit. That and the fact that J.R. and Kane were "live from WWE Studios" while Austin was at whatever arena Raw was in that week.

Because 2x the Khali is better than 1x the Khali? Seriously, is it even worth questioning why some wrestlers appear on two shows at this point? It will be the next time they try to promote a cross brand match, yet nobody will give a shit because they do it on a weekly basis.

WTF is up with Khali being on both Raw and SD now?

I think their line of reasoning was that the people that watched SD didn't stick around to watch anything else on the network, or something to that effect.

O.J. Simpson found guilty of all charges in Nevada

That and the DAs did an awful job of trying the case Yeah.

O.J. Simpson found guilty of all charges in Nevada

So was a jury acquitting an obviously guilty man because of his color. It took a while, but O.J.'s karma finally came back to smack him in the face.

Are you a fan of The Juice, Bob?

This particular show was billed as a special one (first night on MyNetwork TV). ECW also has a talent exchange with both brands now. As mentioned previously, MVP is in the doghouse for treating the drug testing urine collectors poorly ("So, you went to college to check out dicks"). What was HHH and Khali doing at Raw this past Monday? (I'm asking, as I didn't see any of the show.) Did they even offer up an explanation as to why both were there?

    WWE Raw - September 29, 2008

I love how they've had announcers encourage fans to bring signs to live/televised events,(as long as they weren't vulgar/profane), to excercise our "right to express ourselves", yet remove signs that may rub those in power the wrong way.

    9/26: Sons Of Anarkkky

I wonder if Peggy is one of these people who gets better looking as they age, or if she's had some work done? Either way, I agree with you. She looks damn good.

    FX's Sons of Anarchy

Don't forget the beginning of that ep when Jax and that other biker,(forget his name), where being chased by The Mayans when they decided to stop dead in the road and let them all go flying ahead, took aim and started shooting. There were 3 Mayans in that instance, and I don't think they even hit any of them. Somebody needs to give those boys a barrell full of quarters and drop them off at the arcade.
  25. Marc Mero's WWF run from '96-'98. He was flopping in that stupid "Wildman" gimmick when he first started with the company. Then he got hurt, and came back as angry boyfriend/husband of Sable, which actually helped elevate her career more that it did his. Nevertheless, I thought Mero was awesome in his abusive spouse-type character.
