I'm guessing you gave up on them after only 10 years of rebuilding? Damn fairweather fan!

We are going to be into year 17 of that 5 year rebuilding plan for our Pirates.

I agree. I was just trying to speculate,(storyline wise), how an apparent new heel gm will deny JBL's request to be added into the title picture at S.S. JBL ripping Adamle before he knew he was the new Raw GM is their way out.
-
I wonder if Adamle is going to punish JBL for what he said to him when he joined Adamle and King on commentary.(I remember JBL telling him something to the effect that he belongs on the home shopping network, and to shut his mouth and let 2 Hall Of Famers call the match.) Considering that JBL wanted to lobby the new gm for his chance at The World Title at S.S., I'll be disappointed if they pretend this never happened.

It seems Kane's whole "Is he alive or dead" thing" has been put on the back burner the last 2 Raws'. Although I didn't expect it to play out within a couple weeks, I wonder when we are going to see the culmination of this angle?(Or even if creative hasn't yet figured out who "he" is supposed to be.)

While I don't think the Sting/Abyss feud was anything that hurt him (in fact I thought it helped him more than hurt) it was the follow up since his feud with Mesias that has really suffered. Hell, even giving him some character with the Mitchell stuff was alright in theory, maybe not so much in execution though. But I don't think that "hurt" him really. For the most part, I've enjoyed what Russo has done with Abyss character. Sure, Russo ripped himself off by replacing Kane/Undertaker/Bearer with Abyss/Sting/Mitchell, of that I won't argue. But it at least added some depth/layers to Abyss, who was a one dimentional cartoon character before Russo came in.

Heel G.M.'s making The Raw Announce Team wrestle tag team matches. Where have I seen that before.....

Did the prick say anything back to you when you dropped his bag and delievered your zinger? -
JR and Lawler to reunite on Monday...

I just read on WO.com that it's only supposed to be a one hour show, so it probably won't be as bad. -
I guess Val doesn't have any friends who watch Impact to tell her that Sonjay is playing her. Sort of like Matt Hardy apparently didn't have any friends to tell him what was going down between Kane and Lita.(I still remember that ridiculous backstage segment in which Lita told Stacy Keibler to "just keep it between us" about Lita being pregnant. With the camera 3 feet away.) I hate it when TNA and WWE does shit like this. Lazy ass writing, pure and simple. Unless of course it is revealed that Val was just stringing Dutt on all along to get his ass kicked by Lethal in a blowoff match, then I'd be o.k. by that.

Did Kurt order Tomko to crash Karen's interview segment last week for this week's show?
-
It's sort of the same thing he was doing on Smackdown late last year when he kept hitting on Vickie,(before she was a heel and involved with Edge.), and she responded by putting him in matches with The Great Kahil, Kane, Batista, etc. The only real difference here is he has yet to be in an offical match on Raw.(That I can remember.)

I wonder why Chuck Palumbo hasn't been on Raw since he was picked in the supplemental draft? Anyone know?
-
Kevin Young makes the list twice. That warms a Pirates fan's heart.
-
Yes. Whatever makes and keeps the product entertaining. And I would take "some attitude era stuff" over Hornswoggle fucking around with water guns anyday.

Brad Ausmus must be one hell of a defensive catcher, what with multiple seasons of hitting .220-.230,(not to mention he hasn't hit more than 9 HRs in a season in 16 years in The Majors), yet still keeping his job after all these years.

I remember when The NWO tried to kill The Rock in an ambulance with Hogan slamming into it with a semi going full speed. On the next television show, Vince McMahon announced that in agreement with whatever state they were in's District Attorney, they would have to deliever a public apology in lieu of any jail time or fines. Attempted murder and thousands worth of damage to a city ambulance, and all they got was they had to publicly apologize? Gotta love pro wrestling's version of the justice system.

No. No, no, no, no no. No. No. There is no reason to throw in that shot in the beginning. None at all. TNA does it almost every show, which is way too much. WWE never does it anymore, and if they started doing it every week, it would get old quick. If you can't see the difference between two dramatically different companies, then I don't know what to tell you. I do see what your saying, but given the choice of going "back to normal" on Raw with the formula, nothing happening, predictable booking they've done in seemingly forever, vs the unpredictable, anything can happen, attitude-era like t.v. they produced in the past few weeks, I think I'll take my chances on getting tired of the latter. Something tells me not everyone would disagree. Problem is I don't think the writers have what it takes to keep this frenzied pace up for too much longer, so I'll enjoy it while I can.

The thing I hated most about that segment was the fact they had the one camera angle with JBL coming right toward the camera, then cut away to the camera angle that would've captured whether or not he ended up hitting Cena right after JBL crashed into the car. I understand why they did that,(kayfabe wise), but it ended up looking really, really dumb, thus they shouldn't have done it in the first place. Just a case of the writers attempting a "can you top this?" segment among themselves to end a loaded show.

I find it funny that when TNA books an Impact like this,(especially the opening 15-20 minutes), a lot of people criticize it as "too much happening at once", and "nothing sinking in", while when WWE basically does it, it's cool, and a really good show. Nevertheless, I'm loving what they've been doing for the past few weeks, and am hoping that if they get a G.M. or some type of authority figure soon, they won't use it as an excuse to go back to the same boring, paint by numbers program we have seen for so long.

What a joke The All Star Game has become over the last several years. Ken Griffey Jr. gets voted in to start for The N.L. in the outfield while sporting a hefty .237 batting average? Please.
-
Good point. I forgot all about that.
-
I wonder if they will do another supplemental draft on WWE.com as they did last year?
-
Yeah, talk about contrived.
