My votes got to go to Toryumon, just because they'll have the easiest time getting over with American fans. It'd be freaking great if we could get them over here on a semi-regular basis.

Referring to David Sammartino's time in wrestling as a "career" is a stretch. You have to have either 1.talen or 2. money to show that you had a career, don't you?

Vince has a pretty decent connection with Bassman. Melina Perez received training from Bassman as well. Oh, and he gave us the HLA girls, Savvy and Looney Lane. For someone as sports entertainment driven as Bassman, it's amazing to me that Chris Daniels and American Dragon both had major rises to fame here. (Probably because of HUGE Japanese star and UPW trainer Tom Howard...)

Here's a crazy thought about Bischoff's debut. Maybe they used him during the Booker segment to give Booker (a friend of his as I recall) more face time? Besides, the "tell me I just didn't see that" line had me laughing for like 20 seconds during the commercial break before I called my friend to tell him to watch RAW!

meh. I respect Meanie for keeping this promotion viable, but I continue to be underimpressed by the sound of their shows. Too much Sabu and Gary Wolfe I think. I do like the push they're giving Joey Matthews, but where's Christian York these days?

He'll probably be around for all of a week so I really don't mind too much. I'd rather see them bring Mahoney back in though, as he looked pretty good a few weeks back.

I think it'd be funny if Triple H tore something yet again, Shawn Michaels ACL left the building, on RAW was forced to put Benoit with the World Title in a Main Event against.... hell, anyone else on RAW that isn't a member of Evolution or Shawn Michaels. Wouldn't that be novel?

I actually like the Chono idea.... he's probably way cheaper than Hulk too. The only "big name" star out there that might help TNA is Scott Hall, and I doubt he'd ever be able to keep his act together that long. The focus needs to return to 2 things: building up TNA's own roster and the greatness of the X Division. Doing these 2 things will help TNA. Much of the current crap they're booking will not.

Damn, Krull sounds pretty good as a DVD. Too bad they didn't do that with the Conan movies... those comics were great for they're Buscema art and little else.

This would be pretty darn cool to see. I definitely wouldn't mind seeing Eliza in a catsuit with white hair. Heck of a lot better than Halle as "Catwoman". It must remain in quotes, as the new movie has absolutely nothing to do with the comic.

Nintendo could survive indefinitely on the GBA by itself. Both the N64 and the Gamecube were good only for a few really great games and I don't see why the next gen Nintendo would be any different. If they still want to make major platform games they should go SEGA's route, not another system.

When a person from the Christian faith says an "accurate portrayal" we mean "true to scripture" as you put it. It's part of that whole infallibility of the Word that says so. It's kind of like the movie Dogma where Rufus points out that God doesn't like the term "Christian Mythology". To we who are faithful, it happened. Period. As you said, this isn't really the place for a religious debate, but I thought I'd put my 2 cents in about that. (Edited for bad punctuation...)

I'm curious to see it, just to see if it projects an accurate portrayal of the events. It sure as hell can't be any worse than the dateline special (read: crap) on Friday night. I have a feeling this movie may end up challenging Titanic for most watched movie of all time if the pre-screening sales are any indication.

I'm a little surprised I've never seen a Kavalier & Clay thread here. Hell, it's a pulitzer prize winning novel based on comic creators.
