Bye bye Classic. I'd rather see it on El Gran Luchadore, but I guess I'll take Rey. It's a little fucked up to have two title changes just days before a PPV though. Just please god tell me we won't see Rey vs Chavo Jr again at GAB.

Damn it. And I just deleted his ass from EWR. Does he suck any less?
  6. Some of the backstory that was very obviously left on the cutting room floor will seriously screw them over when it gets to Order of Phoenix. Unfortunately, many important factors of this book that come to play in the next two books were chopped from this movie. It strikes me that Cuaron (spelling?) was too proud of his special effects and his own cleverness in cut scenes (i.e. the cleaning lady, the endless whomping willow sections) that he'd rather use them than actually fill in the story. The last hour or so were excellent but the rest of the movie falls flat. And why the hell they're wearing street clothes on the evening of a school day is beyond me. I'll bet we'll see a Lord of the Rings style extended addition on DVD just before Christmas. I for one am happy to hear we'll probably get a new director for the next film.

USWA TV February 6, 1988 Andy Kaufman opens the show from backstage. He explains that, following Renegade Rampage, he's heard nothing but complaints from Perfection and Jerry "The King" Lawler. That's why tonight, we're see Perfection take on Mitsuhara Misawa and Satoru Sayama, the Tiger Masks, to try and win the #1 contendership to the tag titles at Champion's Carnival I. And in the main event, we'll see Jerry Lawler teaming with the Fabulous Ones against USWA World Heavyweight Champion Art Barr and the team of Akio Sato and Tarzan Goto. What is Curt Hennig doing? Satoru Sayama picks him up and signals for a powerbomb. He raises Hennig up...but then falls backward, getting crushed by his opponent in the process! Curt Hennig is on top! 1....2....3! Looking at the replay, it appears that Hennig had taken a chain out of his tights and wrapped it around his fist! Satoru Sayama must have been punched with that chain while in mid-powerbomb! What a cheap shot! I can't decide whether it's a *** or a ***1\2 match...let's go for a ***1\4 rating to make it fair. Winners: Perfection Dutch Mantell is in the ring. Out from the crowd comes Rip Morgan, who grabs a chair from ringside as he hits the ring. Mantell turns, and gets floored by a brutal chair shot. Rip Morgan moves in for the kill. Piledriver!!! That shook the ring. Rip Morgan raises the chair and drives it side-first into the throat of Mantell, causing him to roll around in agony. The chair gets put around the head of Dutch Mantell, who then gets driven face-first into the mat, crushing his wind pipe against the steel. He talks about how, so far in his career he hasn't received the opportunity he deserves. The fans laughed at him when he was Scotty the Body. They laughed when he was Scotty Flamingo. But they wouldn't laugh now. Because Raven was here now. And, as Jerry Lawler and Art Barr both know, anyone who laughs at Raven will pay in blood! Jerry Lawler is backstage. He was out there to hype a match against Art Barr. Jerry was none too happy about his loss at Renegade Rampage, saying he'd have won if not for Raven's interference. But tonight he'd remedy that, and pin Art Barr right in the center of the ring. Glad to see they're putting effort into getting the fans interested in a fight between Lawler and Barr. Jerry "The King" Lawler, Steve Kiern, and Sweet Stan Lane vs "Love Machine" Art Barr, Akio Sato, and Tarzan Goto : Art Barr hits a wicked chop that echoes through the building. 11. Yeah, I'm talking about their stat information. I'd love to see it, even if it is somewhat over inflated. I'm trying to fill out the promotion for my EWR update and getting information on the individual workers is next to impossible. Could you e-mail your data to me if I PM-ed you my e-mail address?

The greater power will certainly be a McMahon. They are like unto gods in the WWE after all.

    Mordecai Vs ?

The answer to this question was in the first post. This is a rehashing of the Goldust/RVD feud, and so will feature Rob Van Dam. Rey will be busy with Kenzo. The Dudleys will face Taker in a handicap, and Cena will take on Booker T.
  14. Since when can Hiroki wrestle. She should fit it well as Smackdown eye candy.

    Cruiserweight division problems

The main thing WCW did was give us non-title cruiserweight matches on the regular show. It's mystifying to me why we can't have a title-related match AND another match featuring the cruisers on each show. Than just bring in a couple of insane spot guys, and some luchas, and you could have a seriously good division running.

EWR 4.0 Has Officially Been Set Free!

Those stats should be high though if you want a five star, although high and equal brawls (only) don't generally make a good match like the other two do if you have Dames as your reviewer. With Keith all you need for five star matches are two stars with really high overness and decent stats.

I think Teddy, Red, and to a lesser extent Sonjay and Chris Hero bring a good amount of attention to the company. And there hype machine has rolled out quite well across the internet, so most smarks already know about it. My guess is they will be a great success if they don't try to push in to doing everything right away. And they have one of the best websites for a wrestling company on the planet.
