What now for Mirko? UFN 12? Heath Herring loser leaves UFC?

Davis and Alexander were BEASTS out there. It really broke my heart to see Cro Cop bullied once again. I really can't help but pull for the guy. I hope if he wants to continue fighting that he does, and he comes back with a different gameplan. He seems like he has no tricks left up his sleeve and the guys he fights are VERY prepared for what he's going in there to do. Hopefully DW is game on letting him keep competing and he retools things and makes a comeback. Can't take anything from Kongo, he looked fabulous and much better than last fight. Hamill was robbed. Bisping looked like a moron with his post-fight comments, and if this were in the U.S., the decision would have been different. Hamill got a bad rap from most of the TUF3 cast, but he was all class afterwords and you have to love his "he won the fight fair and square" comment. I consider myself a big fan of Bisping, but he really fell off with me throughout the fight and especially afterwards. Didn't want to see Hendo or Rampage lose, so it was nice they went the full 25. Henderson looked impressive, but wasn't taking many risks. Great back and forth war. The better man won tonight, but Dan looked good in his re-debut and I'm sure he's not far off the top of the ladder as far as contenders go. It'll be interesting to see what both fighters do from here. Fun show, but a couple of huge disappointments in the middle.

Boy, that whole Raven/Joe segment was awful. The match was all kinds of bad. Raven looked in the best shape I've seen him in a while, but he sure is unmotivated. Joe, too, while we're at it. Beatdowns delivered to guys who aren't professionals are stupid. Unless you're going to be stiff, you can bet they'll suck. Kaz/Tomko was pretty solid, other than all the armwork barely being sold and leading to absolutely nothing. Sting really looks tired and old. Karen Angle was the best part of any segment she, her husband and Sting were collectively in. I REALLY don't want to see No Surrender. Pretty bad show overall. I'm going to keep watching, simply because I love wrestling, but Impact needs 2 hours and guys to run the ropes harder for a change. Really seems like no one gives a shit anymore. I can't blame them, but fucking do your jobs, guys. TNA has the lightest schedule you'll ever have on the road and fans aren't going to catch on to half assed stuff like this. I'd really like to see everyone TRY and give 100% even with some of this booking and see if people might give a shit. Trying and failing is a lot better than not trying at all.

Maybe he and Rhino are bar-hopping TOGETHER, meaning when one returns to TV, by default, so does the other.

Ah, you learn something everyday. I ask you this: You did not include HHH in the list of people who have not put anyone over. HHH jobbed consistently to Batista and Benoit. With your case, he did NOT put over Benoit, but he did put over Batista. Batista went on to be the figurehead of Smackdown, but does this count considering the fact that HHH was not a part of that brand? How does Cena fit into this? HHH jobbed clean to him, but shared the focus (DX) for the most part and eventually was injured for a large amount of time. Has he actually put anyone over? -
I'd say he's just consistently over, period. The 1 hour show and Angle centered programming have not allowed for this face run to even unfold much. He's literally on again and off again, and the character development is not there at all.

Looking at what happened on screen is exactly what shows Hogan didn't put them over. Goldberg beat Hogan, but what happened in the follow-up? Goldberg almost always worked the secondary top match and once wasn't even on the PPV at all. Hogan was still in the main events, and even when he wasn't, for Havoc against Warrior, it was still the match that got the most promotion ahead of Goldberg's match. That isn't putting Goldberg over, and it's a joke to say otherwise. Rock beat Hogan, but the handshake is exactly what stole the spotlight from Rock. The focus wasn't on Rock beating Hogan. It was on Hogan, who was meant to be the heel, being gracious and humble in defeat. I think the post-match even saw Rock ask Hogan to pose with him. Who got put over in that one? Fantastic points. I can't argue with Hogan/Rock, especially since Hogan quickly won the title and the whole promotion centered around the return of the red and yellow. With Goldberg, though, regardless of the fact that Hogan wasn't on the PPV, wasn't the whole plan from that point on for Goldberg to headline Starrcader against someone OTHER than Hogan? WCW's Wrestlemania program focused around the guy 4 months later kind of signals the rub, eh? -

I'm sure he figured on getting ALL of the wins back. Regardless of his intentions, dropping clean pins to those guys in hyped matches and never getting the job back results in the person getting a nice rub. Intent, who cares? You look at what actually played out on screen alone, and Hogan put them both over. Goldberg kicked out of the guys finisher at ONE, pinned him with ease after taking out his # 1 backup minutes before and is never touched by the guy again? He got put over. Rock is hit by a hammer multiple times, run over by a semi, kicks out of the finisher and pins him clean in one of the biggest main events ever, followed by a handshake and the fact that this was Hogan's 1st match back in the WWF? Put over. -
Why has Harris not been on TV in a month?

Taker put over Brock. There's no denying that. Hogan put over Goldberg and Rock. Neither had to have that win, but those were two huge matches. -

I just stared at your avatar for about 10 minutes before posting, Rip..... The chairs definitely seem to be gimmicked (as in thinner) than they were 5 years ago, but there is no greater weapon than the chair. It looks so legit because it IS. Definitely should be a special occurence and not an every week thing. Remember Maven getting killed by Taker at Rumble 02? Speaking of Taker, no one throws them harder than him. In Kanyon's final WWE performance as Boy George, did taker not murder the guy? I swear he swings them with intent to kill because no one will say anything to him about it. -

Anybody able to rundown how the game face feature in Tiger 2008 will work? I know the game just came out, but I need to know what equipment you have to buy for the 360 and how you get this working. -

Do we have any list as to who was suspended, or is that not going to be released? -
Do you all find the win for Couture a little tainted? Nothing shady went on by any means, but although Randy looked great, had the nose not been busted, would he have won?

My newest roomate introduced me to this, and I'm thoroughly entertained. I watch an episode each night with On Demand, and I'm rolling. The Hiphopopotamus line where he says "My rhymes are bottomless" followed by a long pause with Brett in the background waving his arms in the air seriously makes me laugh out of the blue in front of people when I think about it. An undiscovered gem for a lot of people I'd assume. Highest recommendation.

His role in WWE would be quite different, though. He can be such an asset if controlled. He does not need to be conjuring up HHH 2002 in TNA. It was one of the worst years in the WWE headed up by an extremely talented and capable asset to the show. Angle reigned in and played to his strengths is a can't miss. -

Was it the West Texas Rednecks? No, that was Hennig, Bobby Duncam Jr. and Barry Windham in WCW. -

Good LORD he looked like hell. He's obviously off the juice. It's not just you, he was MUCH bigger and ripper a year ago.

Where is this undefeated run of Hardy going, I wonder? He has established himself as King of the Midcard.

I would have to say that wrestling actually left HIM in the dust. Happy to hear he is successful in another avenue, though.
