I'm clueless as to who would be drafted. Tonight's show should be huge. I'm surprised the subtitle of the thread isn't 'Batista-Triple H Contract signing II'

Austin and Nash are the guards (heels), Goldberg is a con(face). Although towards the end, Nash is humorous so I guess he can be considered a tweener. I can't remember any memorable quotes.

I saw it yesterday and thought it was great. A lot of changes from the original. Courtney Cox-Arquette's cleavage was definitly hypnotizing. I thought Austin and Nash were really good. Austin was more believable. Nash was just comic relief. Goldberh didn't really impress me.

Paris Hilton is engaged to her boyfriend of the same name. Paris Latsis From the Associated Press LOS ANGELES - Hotel heiress and "The Simple Life" reality TV star Paris Hilton is engaged to her boyfriend, Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis, her spokesman said Monday. "They are happy and excited," said Hilton spokesman Rob Shuter, confirming the story first reported on People magazine's Web site. Latsis, 27, proposed to Hilton, 24, on Wednesday after she returned from a three-week publicity tour in Europe to promote her horror flick "House of Wax" and her new fragrance. "I'm so in love and grateful to have found such an honest and loyal person," Hilton told Us Weekly magazine. "I feel like we were meant to be, and I'm happy to have found someone to spend the rest of my life with." The magazine quoted her fiance calling Hilton "the most beautiful woman I've ever met. I feel like the luckiest man in the world." The couple, who have been dating for about eight months, marked the engagement Saturday with a barbecue for 75 friends and family at their Hollywood Hills home, Shuter said. No wedding date has been set. It would be the first marriage for both.

Sounds decent. but it is the 6/02 show and not the 5/02.

Rhyno was fired..lol. Probably because he's got nothing else to do. I mean the feud between him and Edge has been going on since March. But don't worry. I'm sure he'll pull a Superman and beat up every RAW and Smackdown guy...and Bischoff at the PPV.
-
Yeah, moment of the night was a toss up between Victoria's assault or Batista's. I can already hear HHH saying 'Batista's head isn't in the game(or something). Sure he can beat two guys to a bloody pulp, but HIAC will be nothing compared to that' Funniest moment had to be during Shelton/La Res when Grenier had Shelton in a corner and didn't know what to do, so Conway yelled 'Do Something!' Better RAW than expected Also, if Jericho really does stop wrestling, I think he'd be a good replacement for Conan O Brien. Of course NBC would probably nix the idea. But I thought it would be a cool idea

Interesting to see Conway and Grenier getting the IC Title shot and not Daivari or Hassan. Or maybe Im speaking a week too soon

ECW One Night Stand matches announced
slimm44 replied to WrestlingFan4Ever's topic in The WWE Folder
Well since RAW and Smackdown will be planning an 'invasion' it won't be the usual ECW. -
Yeah I got the same email. Wonder if it's true or if MTV said 'haha no way is this going to air'

OAO Smackdown Thread for May 26, 2005
slimm44 replied to Masked Man of Mystery's topic in The WWE Folder
Anyone else notice, Cena didn't have a scratch or bandage on him, while JBL was all taped up? -
I read a couple things in my tv guide. First they said Arst will be on the show more during the 2nd season, I dont know if its a mistake or what Also just to clarify, from the creators mouth, the transmission that Boone hear said 'We're the survivors of flight 815' and said the promos were wrong when they said 'there were no survivors of flight 815'

Jimmy Kimmel has part of the cast from Lost and JJ Abrams on...watching right now ...in the central time zone
-
Probably not, probably one of the merchandise/marketing employees favorites so they went with that.
-
Absolutely amazing episode tonight. Lots of humor in it, and the death of Artz was awesome. Once Danielle said 'they wanted the boy' I figured they were talking about Walt. But didn't see the ship-napping coming. A little disapointed that we only saw a shadow of the monster, but better that than a toe or something stupid.

He has already written a book prior to his WWE career. I dont see why he would call them morons seeing as they pushed him as much as they could and tied up loose ends i.e matches with The Rock, Jericho, Lesnar, Triple H. Gave him a solid run with the belt. May not have been the best run but what is when you're on RAW and your name doesn't have an H? So what's it going to be a 12 chapter book depicting what happened each month?
-
meh, the only match hyped was the Gold Rush title match. Other than that you had rehashed, Benjamin vs Hassan/Davari, mediocre Benoit v Tajiri and the 'funeral' which turned into a 20 minute promo and history lesson of ECW. Although a title match should draw big, they haven't had a switch since HHH over Big Show in 2000. So the predictability of Edge winning was close to none thus, people lose interest.
-
That was a great finale. Great fight between Mora and Manfredo. Brinkley and Gomez went at it, but Brinkley of course slowed down. I dont think his heart was in it anyways Lots of celebrities there, including Hogan.
-
This is the shirt WWE went with and is now available on wweshop

Well here are my thoughts: The ECW Funeral - Longest segment of the night, basically a history lesson of ECW. Didn't do anything for me, except make me channel surf. Edge-Batista - Solid match with good ending. No Kane which was a good turn. Save it for next week or the next. HHH staying off tv for only a week, good move for the build up of Vengeance, bad because they could have delayed it a week. Also predictable turn on Batista by Flair. Once he was down on his knees, you could just see the low blow coming Decent show but nothing spectacular.
-
I thought she used to look hot too, but then I saw her on SNL, seeing her as a blonde made me want to puke.
-
Also added to the show is an ECW Funeral presented by Eric Bischoff
-
Im thinking Kane and Christian (with Tomko) will interfere on Edge's behalf, Flair will do some sort of save, maybe Benoit too. Leading to a tag match next week where Triple H will return. Just my two cents. Should be a pretty good match

It will be interesting to see how JBL/Cena plays out...if at all. My bet is JBL doesn't show up on Smackdown due to injuries thanks to the post match attack. Sounds like a good show 2005 has been a solid year for WWE PPV's
