The One and Only Smackdown! HCTP Thread
{''({o..o})''} replied to Insane Bump Machine's topic in Video Games
Irrelevant. What I do at other times here is not involved at all in this conversation. Glad you have a girlfriend, and hope things work out for you. I am also glad you needed to bring her up in your discussion to attempt to prove a point. Ok. One of these quotes adds to the discussion, while the other could come off as "bitching" because we enjoy a game you don't. If you posted like the second selection the first time, no one would have "jump down your throat". -
The One and Only Smackdown! HCTP Thread

Yep, It's not exactly difficult. I had the nous to read the manual you see. Replay value? I took it round my mates house last night, we played a couple of Elimination Chambers. After about an hour he said that he doubted he would be buying it when he got some money. We then turned it off and never touched it again all night. I don't use any of the single player modes all that much. When it comes down to it usually most of the time I just want a simple one versus one match. So really all the modes don't really factor into the equation for me. Why is it ridiculous bias? Do you think I wanted to pay £40, that I don't really have, just to have a downer on it? I don't have some hidden agenda, I'm only biased because No Mercy was/is a more enjoyable game. I'm not emotionally attached to it. I keep hoping the next Smackdown game will be better than it. Sure they've got all the modes and the nice graphics and the snazzy presentation. But stuff like that is fleeting. After I'd tried out the Elimination Chamber a few times, watched entrances I'd never seen before and been wrestlers who weren't in the previous Smackdown games. The actual in-ring experience just didn't do it for me, and no doubt in a few weeks Here Comes The Pain will be collecting dust just like Shut Your Mouth was. It does however have the best season mode so far. That's fine, really. I'm pleased for you. If you genuinely enjoy HCTP more than No Mercy, then I'm envious of you. If you like the Smackdown engine, then you've got it made. Unfortunately for me, I don't. If I still play it it isn't dead. Average graphics didn't bother me. I didn't notice any bugs. It's not like HCTP doesn't have any anyway. I know the AKI engine isn't coming back, I didn't say it was. Unless Smackdown gets a mjor overhaul, I won't be buying the next release. Why should I? If that's how I feel. Don't fucking patronize me. The game engine isn't new. It's the same as SYM with a slightly new way of grappling and a nifty little submission meter. If they'd continued to make the No Mercy series, and moved it onto gamecube or something, just think about where it would be at now. I like Smackdown:HCTP more than No Mercy right now, but both of you need to get f'ing laid. Quick and dirty or slow and loving, you'll find that you won't be bitching about peoples personal preferences near as much. -
Prince Charles + Sex = Eww!

I enjoyed it, quite a bit in fact. It prbably won't be looked back upon as a Star Wars type success, but I'll buy it.

Good Blessings to you, fellow Mistie.

reset internet options, i've had this happen before and that was the only way I got it working corredtly.

Thanks, that gave me a hell of an idea for my next party. -
Well, this has wore me out. Night 'yall and nice talking with you Slapnuts00. Back to medicine and sleep.

I'm too damn sick to be argueing this much

No, I was just commented on a slightly related issue. What it comes down to, really, is that Vince doesn't have to do shit. He's the only gave in town(for now), and while we all wish he would reward his employees more for their work, he doesn't have to. If he can go to bed at night with a guilt-free conscience, what can we do? Like what has been said before, If you don't like the situation you will be in, don't go into it.
-
That is a whole different issue right there. While I wish Vince & Co. weren't on tv and ppv, they are above the wrestlers in the company, as sorry as I am to say it. Nobody will run a business and pay themselves less than their employees, it just wouldn't make sense. The workers should be enjoying those spots, I agree, but if they are gonna be there, thats just part of what they have to accept.
-
And you are ignoring the fact that they don't get paid the full amount when they don't. Even some of the lower card have to work other jobs while wrestling to make money. Vince is first and foremost, a business man, and if he can get rich having somebody risk their health and well being, while not paying them near what they are worth, he'll do it. It is understood, and it is part of the way things are, as shitty as it is.
-
Please do not put words in my mouth. I never said they deserved to die, and Ieven said I wish it was different. Even from my own personal experiences knowing the late Curt Hennig, I regret the pain that is involved in the business, and the effect it has on the people involved. But the thing is, given the chance to change and take time off, it would be refused. They want to wrestle, and if Vince says no to them, they would do it anyway. It becomes a part of them, for good or ill, and the situation probably will never trully change.
-
Or at least the money and cars route... ...though a Batmobile would rock.
-
There are at least five people who currently wrestle on each show who wouldn't get doctors clearence to wrestle, just from the amount of injuries they have incured and still suffer from. This is a tough business, one where people know the game, and anyone who stays in it understands the consequences. I wish it was different but wishing don't do shit except pass the time.

Some of my friends and I did that song two weeks ago for karaoke for my girlfriends birthday. Good times. She wouldn't let us do any old school Chilli Peppers though, and I had my sock ready and everything...
-
So, we'd have three-four people left for each show then, huh?
-
Dude, you leap at any mention of Batman faster than I do at the mention of cats. Harness that energy into taking over a small country. Hell, once once you do, you can make a Batman costume the standard issue of you armed forces.

Lightning Elk, what are your feeling about this game? And what finisher did you go with out of curiosity? -

Hmmm... What you say is true. However, in this case, I actually find a youthful living Groucho Marx to be more preferable than his decayed corpse, or his skeleton bones. I'm sorry for being so picky, because it really does make things more difficult for me. And chave, you bastard, you owe me a new keyboard

He was still a bouncer part-time correct? That could be it possibly. I don't mean any lack of respect here.

I would normally use some explective to describe my feelings, but having met the guy once, it would be direspectful. RIP
