I sooo totally agree here. A while back I remember Downhome getting shit on because he felt Goldberg has value. He is great for what he is meant to do. You don't put guys who can't talk in twenty minute monolouges, and you don't put guys who are good in small spurts in 20 minute matches. The fans dig it when Goldberg comes out and and does his thing, whiping ass.

My only problem with HHH is building a story and not giving the end it should have. I've excepted that he'll be around, and if he annoys me enough, well, I'll just not watch. No biggie. I really don't understand those who get their panties all twisted over him.

Btw, what determines, if anything, the success of attacking after a match? I've had beatdowns reversed on me, while previous ones against the same opponent succeeded, and vice versa.

Booker T was my rival/partner with my Chris Jericho. I beat RVD in my first match for the hardcore title, lost it to Booker the next match, feuded with him a while, tagged with him a while, caused him to turn heel with me for the faction wars, and finished the season at wrestlemania in a HIAC with a breakdown threw the cage into the Walls of Jericho for the tapout.

I just got to say that I chuckled at what this topic read as on the main page. My favorite at the time, if only it had led to something more substanial, was Marty F'n Jannetty coming back out of nowhere to beat Shawn Micheals.

An off-season would pretty much be the stupidest damn thing that they could do. The 3.6-4.0 audience they get are, for the most part, in a routine of watching wrestling. If you change that routine, and force them to find other avenues of entertainment, you will not get them back. Wrestling has relied on an episodeic format that is different from any other TV show, leave enough open possiblities to try to get people watching constantly. WWE breeds the practice of making fans forget what happened a month past and there is no reason to believe that they would remember any storylines or any feuds that had been started. Plus there is the factor of lack of show revenue, slipping merchendice sales due to lack of exposure, and the resulting ringrust that would be quite obvious if they weren't able to wrestle any indie dates. If anything a cycle would be a good idea in theory, but then again, so would Communism.
