After seeing some speed runs of Super Metroid, I decided I'm going give it a try. Not expecting great results but might be fun. I love all the random self-destructs going on during the series. -
Da Meltz: The Spike TV deal for TNA is said to be signed, sealed and delivered, and there is a legal issue, which will be expiring imminently, that has delayed the announcement. As soon as the issue expires, which I'm told is "moments away," the announcement would be made, so very possibly tomorrow. TNA in its videos teased the deal was already done in cryptic fashion on last night's PPV show.

I was actually thinking about Paper Boy last week in fact.

Don't you hate it when a series follows up on a great game with a pretty average to bad one? Soul Reaver is a pretty good example of that. Man, that was a horrible ending to the first game now that I think about it again. I guess SR 2 needed to be delayed for a year like the first one to be any good. -
Elements of the game were adapted for use in Blood Omen 2. I'm sure you can find information about it by hitting Google.

That's my line, ho...

Short term buzz gain, keeps gate open for possible Hardy's reunion, possible product mention on RAW, and possibly improves the relationship between the two companies while refusing could give Vince a reason to smack them around a bit.

Kotz, make sure you spend the whole $4.50 and get Eternal Darkness. -

In addition, I can't think of another ending in the 270(?) games I've beaten that was even close to as good as FF3's. -

"The world is Square" or "Son of a submariner" and also "You sound like chapters out of a self-help book" compared to "Your answers do not satisfy me at all." it's offical, Woolsey's translation wins. -

I miss having free time like this. EDIT: Didn't mean to imply this one was mine, only that I used to draw stuff like that in my youth. -

Really starting to notice the increased encounter rate in the WOR while walking the Serpent Trench. 30 battles to get from where Terra/Tina was to where Edgar is. -
Edwin beat me to it. Figures when I only checked the topic because he posted in it.

That's a game I only played on one of theose old Nintendo-10 or whatever it was called arcade games. Can't say the bit I played made me really want to hunt it down. The Addam's Family games for TG-16 and SNES were pretty decent if I remember correctly, though.

Wasn't that Family Guy? EDIT: Tom Tucker: In other news, the man that has done more drugs than any other human being on the planet was killed today by a pack of rabid dogs he thought he saw.

Add me on for 2D shooters, 2D fighting and beat em ups, adventure games, RPG's that are somewhat original and games that are hard in general, not just cheap. EDIT: Yeah, maybe 3-4 games a year now that really strike an interest.

It's come down to this for me basically, the more the companies target their games towards the relatively recent casual gamers market, the more the amount of games that come out that are interesting to me seemingly decreases. I know getting older plays some part of it, but it doesn't cover the whole issue.

The opera scene in the translation sucked. So far, outside of a few small instances like "bitchbitchbitchbitchbitchbitchbitchbitchbitchbitchbitchbitch...," Relm's character, some Cefca/Kefka stuff and a few other odd bits here and there, Woolsey's translation is pretty close to equal in quality and way more fun. Being able to edit the names of the swordtechs is fun though. -
Spike's debut was rather surprising if I recall correctly, not a huge surprise but a surprise nonetheless.

I must once again say how much I wish the Phantasy Star 4 cutscenes had been copied more.

I ate Grapenuts today with no sugar. I also made some Koolaid with only a half cup of sugar. I miss you, sweet tooth. -

Answer seems to be people stopped buying them. The declines of Square and Lucasarts are some of the sadder things in gaming.
