  1. No, but I'm getting sick of Lowe's taunting me about spring being here when I look out the window and still see two feet of snow on the ground.
  2. That's almost as bad as the CSIS agent who had documents stolen from his car while he was at a Leafs game.
  3. Is there anything significant that happened besides Merkle's Boner?
  4. It's a lot easier to tune out someone arguing about who the eighth best team is than who the second best team is, though.
  5. Gotta have the first big nWo backstage beatdown, where Nash tossed Mysterio into the side of the trailer like a lawn dart.
  6. My God, that was a ridiculous shot. Stuck a knife right through my bracket.
  7. My dad and I used to spend hours playing that. It's pretty simple, actually.
  8. Is Good Friday not a holiday in the States?
  9. You mean Mille Bornes? Fun game.
  10. I don't see any difference in MLB.com from last year.
  11. Oh, please let this upset happen.
  12. I'm amazed they thought he'd be ready this early in the season.
  13. With each property Steve Wynn develops on the Las Vegas Strip, his vision for the ultimate megaresort-casino becomes more sophisticated. Wynn Las Vegas opened in May 2005, and did so without whumping volcanoes, jets of water undulating to Frank Sinatra tunes, or pirate versus siren skirmishes. The handsome swoosh of the sunlit-copper glass facade stands in stark contrast to the immediate, raucous fun of traditional Las Vegas hotel-casinos. -- The Unofficial Guide to Las Vegas, 2006
  14. This worked out fantastic for me, since this block of games were the only games I couldn't watch thanks to work. Tomorrow being Good Friday, I'll be glued to the TV.
  15. 10 points in the first half for Kent State. I believe that ties the tournament record for fewest points in a half in the shot clock era.
  16. I had a crokinole board when I was quite young. It was part of one of those 50-games-in-1 kits.
  17. My favourite games are a couple of little-known Canadian games called Poleconomy and Globetrotters. Of the more established games, I love Careers and Monopoly. I love Scrabble, too, but my family refuses to play against me.
  18. We should be boff-free now. Uh, not so much.
  19. OK, now can we get all the posts deleted so we don't have five year old threads on the front page?
  20. Wasn't the game tied when NC State took possession? The idea would be to run down the clock to the last few seconds and take away Houston's opportunity to win the game on their final possession. Hurling the ball from 30 feet probably wasn't the way the coach drew it up, but a bad shot with no time left is better than a good shot with 5 or 10 seconds left. The plan was always for Whittenburg to take the last shot, since it was a tie game and V didn't want to give the ball back to Houston in regulation. The pass to him was almost stolen away, though, and by the time he got the ball back under control, there wasn't enough time for him to do anything but throw up the prayer from where he was standing. The luckiest thing about that play from NC State's perspective was that Akeem had his back to the basket ready to pull down the rebound, never saw it fall short, and so never even contested Lorenzo Charles' dunk.
  21. I'm quite happy with my offence as well. My pitching will have to be above the median to contend for a playoff spot, though.

    Bad Candy

Which ones? I don't much like the peanuts, but I'm addicted to the raisins.
  23. You must have missed The Layden Express. Sure, but you've pretty much just punted pitching as a whole.
  24. I had read that the Red Sox talked to the A's coaches, who said they already knew they (the A's coaches) weren't getting the stipend. This despite the fact that the stipend for the coaches had been promised by MLB before the teams agreed to go on this trip. Good for the Sox players for standing up for their coaches like this.
