Anyone up for an all-time NBA draft?
Crimson Platypus replied to TheOriginalOrangeGoblin's topic in Sports
I'd do it too. But only draft white players just to see how poorly they would do. -
I just don't understand why professional athletes put themselves in these situations. The first thing I would do after signing a professional contract of any kind would be to get a vasectomy. I would also damn sure never get married. Fuck that shit.

Your political compass Economic Left/Right: 3.13 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.44 Pretty much what I expected.

Jesus man you talk about him like he's your bestest buddy in the whole wide world.

I would've felt bad about watching Vince Young do whatever he wants more than losing on a field goal. Oh, I fully expected Vince to torch us. Michigan can simply not stop running QB's.. Drew Stanton and Troy Smith tore them apart and well Vince Young is a better runner than both of those guys. It is just the disappointment that Michigan can never win the big game It's coaching lomas, Carr is just an average coach, nothing more. Great recruiter, average coach. I still say that had Stanton not gotten hurt last year MSU would have won that game, he was running all over them (as you yourself said).

I don't understand why the lack of exclusive games makes the PS2 the worst system, but whatever. My only advice would be that if you plan on getting an X-Box, wait until the X-Box360xenonrevolutionnext3 comes out so the price will (probably) drop.

The only thing that could make this story any better would be if Ric had put the kid that beat his son in the Figure 4, all the while yelling: "YOU DIDN'T BEAT THE MAN, TO BE THE MAN YOU GOTTA RIDE SPACE WOOOOOOOOO MOUNTAIN AND BEAT THE WOOOOOOOOOO MAN WOOOOOOOO WOOOOOOOO".

Berlin? He was the QB at Miami. So he's not far from home but seriously he was no good at Miami. Except maybe that game against Louisville. Who knows though.......has anyone just been absolutely AWFUL in college and just sucked hard and then become an NFL star? I'm not talking about mediocre I'm talking about a huge nobody that sucked. I wouldn't say Berlin sucked. He was merely OK. Some games he'd look great, and in others he'd look pretty bad. He's undersized for a QB (6'1"). I don't think he's got any shot of making the team, as I'd think Feeley gets the starter spot (I'm willing to give him the shot as the #1 guy), with Frerotte as the backup, and Rosenfels as the #3. Why is Rosenfels even still there? I have also never seen him play. I know that the Stasch was big on the guy, even though he never actually gave him a shot. He must suck though, I mean seriously you would have to suck to not get a chance last year.

Aw come on man, are you telling me that if you beat Flair's own son in a wrestling match you wouldn't do the exact same thing? I know for damn sure that I would.

San Diego is still the best place I have ever lived. Fucking paradise there. Plus, tons of scantilly clad Brazillian women. Of course now I live in shit-hole Michigan so what the hell do I know.

John fucking Stockton over Kareem Abdul Jabbar? That's nuts.

The tuck rule states that a quarterback can’t fumble the ball once he begins his throwing motion until he "tucks" the ball into his body.
-
Pretty sure he has 0 NFL experience, he broke his (leg, arm?) last year and never had a chance to get any game time. Yes, they are planning on throwing him to the wolves. Pretty stupid when you consider that Buffalo plays in the toughest division in the NFL...

The "time-out" heard 'round the world? That had to suck... This allows me to restate what I always say when Webber is mentioned: "The best thing about Chris Webber is that he will never win a damn thing."

Especially with the number of quality RBs in the draft this year. He really should have jumped on that trade with Arizona when he had the chance.

I agree with you on Rodgers, YPoV, it was probably the best pick they could have made at that point. Rodgers sits behind Favre this year and is immediately the starter next. I really hope that Ronnie Brown makes the biggest impact, hard to say really as the Dolphins STILL need a QB. Unless Brock Berlin can be anything. Does anyone have a clue about this guy? I honestly can't remember seeing him play at all. The more I think about it the more I like the Lions drafting Mike Williams. While I do still think they are fools not to take Rodgers, with the addition of Williams they are pretty much set on the offensive side of the ball. People have said all along that if Harrington had the weapons then he would be able to show how talented he really is. This is his put up or get out year. If he can't get it done with the guys he has around him now he can't get it done period. One other pick I liked a lot Sunday was the Lions taking Dan Orlovsky (sp?). I have a feeling he will be their starter sooner rather than later.

Personal: Junior year of H.S. football, was playing defensive back, the team we were playing ran an option and it was pouring rain that day so the field was muddy as hell... Anyway I'm sure you can see where this is going, our DE stepped up and made the QB pitch, the RB dipped his shoulder to the inside, I bit, damn I looked like an ass when he walked into the end zone (this was on the ten yard line) while I sat in the mud. Otherwise I'd go with the strike as well, killed my love for baseball, which I am just now slowly regaining.

Oh, I STILL (who knows why) think that Kyle Boller and Patrick Ramsey will some day be good-great NFL QBs.

2003 C Yards YPC TDs Johnson, Chad 90 1355 15.1 10 Walker, Javon 41 716 17.5 9 2004 Walker, Javon 91 1409 15.5 12 Johnson, Chad 95 1274 13.4 9 2 Year Total: Johnson, Chad 185 2629 14.2 19 Walker, Javon 136 2125 15.6 21 I only went back two years because Walker only really came into his own in 2003, going back further would skew the stats pretty strongly in favor of Johnson. After looking at these stats, Johnson would have to be considered the better WR. Taking in the fact that the team Johnson plays on is one of the worst franchises in all of sports and yet he still (barely) outperforms Walker I'd say that you are right.

Because their nickname is Big BLUE. I've never heard them called that, and one of my good friends is a die-hard Giants fan. G-Men yes, Big BLUE no.

Drew Rosenhaus is such a cocksucker. I can't stand that guy. Still, Walker deserves a new contract. that $515,000 is about as close to an insult as you can get in the NFL as far as contracts go. Walker is, in my opinion, one of the best WRs in the NFL right now, I'd say top 5 without actually thinking about who might be better. Actually: 1. T.O. 2. Moss 3. Walker 4. Muhammad (sp?) 5. Chad Johnson So yeah I can't really think of anyone else that deserves to be above him right now.

I too am guilty of this one. In fact I argued with anyone who would disagree with me on that.

Magic will always be number one until someone else can come in and legit play 5 positions on the floor. Not just play either, he just plain was the man.

Wrestling Moves you busted out In Real Fights
Crimson Platypus replied to I like Forums's topic in General Wrestling
Only move I've ever busted out was while playing volleyball at a cookout about 5 years ago or so. I was in the back row and the ball went way past the other team's back line, so while we were all standing around waiting for the server to go grab it, I ran up behind my brother and gave him a flying Diamond Cutter. He fell to the ground, hat went flying one way, glasses the other. I proceeded to jump up and give the Self High Five hand gesture and yell BANG. Sadly only my buddy thought it was funny. Everyone else just stared at me like I was insane. My brother was not amused.
