(Long Post) From one of my fantasy football newsletters:

I was at the game last night, a few observations: 1. Is there any doubt that Head, Brown, and Williams are the best backcourt in the country? Those guys shot the lights out in a VERY hostile environment. Calm, cold, killers. 2. The Big Ten has the worst officiating in college basketball. Just horrible both ways. Somehow they managed to only call 13 fouls per team. 3. Illinois > MSU. The game went about as I expected. I can't say that I am upset that MSU lost, clearly they lost to a better team. I do however, say that I'm upset with HOW they lost. People saying they never had a chance were watching a different game than I was. That was definitly NOT MSU's best game last night. State shot very poorly, missing several open threes that they usually hit. It's too bad these two teams don't play again in Champaign, I'd love to see the Spartans get another crack at it. 4. Being ranked 10th was WAAAAY to high. Good team, not great, definitely not top 10. MSU will be there come tournament time, depending on seeding I'd expect 1, maybe 2 wins.

Do you think that Watchmen would be better served by doing multiple movies (rather than one movie, seeing as how HBO seems to be out of the question)? It would give them more time to tell the story, set things up, etc...

This gets tiresome... look at the pro bowl teams from the years that Barry played for the Lions. They had at least one, and many times two players in the Pro Bowl EVERY YEAR. I know Jim Brown is considered one of the greats, but I haven't even seen a game of his on ESPN Classic so I always add the qualifier "that I've seen". And yes, I've seen the Lions play. Many times. I live in Michigan, I know Barry was great, he was also, as stated before NEVER a winner. Being great isn't about athleticism, it's about being talented and winning. Emmitt did both. Barry only had one of those traits.

This is two years too late really. Oh well, the second best running back I have ever seen has retired (Walter Payton = #1).

So yeah recommend some good authors for me to check out. Some things that I have read and enjoyed recently: Great and Secret Show, Everville - Clive Barker Gunslinger Series, most other King novels R.A. Salvatore's Drizzt stories Dragonlance (really just the original trilogy, never checked out the rest) Some Michael Crichton, a lot is repetitive though

I'd love to see the reasoning behind marijuana being a Schedule I. A: They must have a very different definition of "abuse" than I do. B: It certainly has medicinal treatment uses, just ask anyone in chemo-therapy. C: Is clearly not applicable.

I'm glad I'm not the only person who thinks she is ugly. Usually I preface that by saying that despite her slammin body, but damn, that's horrible. Now not only is she ugly, she also needs to eat a double whopper or three.

To get back to topic, I just think that if it's in any way possible for TO to play he will do so. It's all about RISK vs. REWARD here. I personally think the reward, a possible Super Bowl Championship - which is the whole reason for playing a sport -far outweighs the risks of maybe never reaching the SB again and maybe never playing again.

I loved it when Keanu did an interview where he said that they were going to stay as close to the comic as possible "Except John is a blonde... from L.A....". Hellblazer is one of my favorite comics, and I haven't even bought one since seeing the first trailer for the movie. What an unbelievable pile of garbage that looks to be. James Marsden as Jesse sounds awful.

Can someone point me to a link that lists this Schedule I, Schedule II, etc stuff? Would be an interesting read I think. Also does anyone know what the definitions of Schedule I, II, etc are?

The saddest thing I have read in weeks. RE: Gateway drug arguement - Horseshit. I've smoked pot for 12 years now on and off. Tried shrooms and acid a few times. I have never, and will never, do coke, crack, etc. Bottom line is: people with addictive personalities will get addicted. End of arguement. RE: Legalization - I'm all for the legalization of weed, and the decriminalization of every other drug. It's an absolute travesty that alcohol is legal and pot isn't. Oh and damn... 20/gram? Nice..
