I went there when it was new, and they didn't have many employees. Mrs. Mantegna worked there, on the cash registers. After I got my sandwich I handed over 20 dollars to pay. She looked at it, confused, and asked if I was giving her a tip. She forgot that I didn't even pay yet. Actually, that reminds me that there have been more times where I could've gotten free food just because the employees forgot to ask for money... How's the food?

Did A-Rod hit 500 yet?

California has Portillo's??? It's in Buena Park off La Palma in the BP Mall Center. Allegedly, they are opening 3 more in CA someday.

Anaheim declined to match the offer sheet, Dustin Penner is an Oiler

god dammit, i switched over to food network and got sidetracked working on a paper. Way to go Nomar, way to break the road team streak! I wish my family wasn't in town this weekend or I'd go for one of the D-Backs games.

I tried the Portillo's in Buena Park. It was pretty good, they were missing the celery salt on the dogs though and they were a little pricey. There's a place in Burbank called Taste Chicago which is a little hole in the wall owned by Joe Mantengna

i did a fucking dance when they brought vanilla coke back

I'd still hit topanga

Good thing I didn't buy a ticket. I wonder if he'll end up on the "DL" so the record will be broken at home. Likewise and yeah I figured they'd hold off until they get back to SF

total awesomeness right there.

I think the 1976 version is the horrible one

Not only that, if I remember correctly the Nexus was a place where time has no meaning and one could move about.

So I got a dilemma. I have a free evening tomorrow and am considering going to the Dodgers/Giants game. I can get tix still but do I want to spend the cash to go just on the hope Barry hits 755 even though I'm a Dodger fan?

No we believe in Burke, I was just posting what was in the Register this morning. So I went to the Ducks "garage sale" and managed to pick up one of Travis Moen's practice sticks for 50 bucks. Unfortunately, they opened early and most of the good stuff was gone before I got there. But hey a Moen stick is still pretty good since he was pretty valuable in the playoffs.

Apparently, Brian Burke believes the timing of Edmonton's offer sheet to Dustin Penner was gutless. #1500

Parker's is ok, but I'll give Pink's the advantage. I do want to try a real Nathan's (not the home version) and a Papaya King in addition to a Superdawg or a Chicago dog from Byron's in Chi-town. Matt where's the Portillo's around here? Also, I do love me some Dodgerdogs (grilled of course)

Chain mergers / Corporate brand extensions

The only thing left is the ice cream and even then I don't think they even do the puck shaped scoops anymore. -
It depends on when you go, most times I'm in and out in 15 minutes (parking the car to leaving). In the summer's it is awful though no matter what, like when I took my girlfriend who was visiting last week.

Please Ducks, let him go. Instead of paying one guy, we can have 3 draft picks. Not only that, it sets a precedent for Perry and Getzlaf to demand more than they're worth right now and if Burke can sign them next year for a bit cheaper I'm for it. Taker, you know about the Ducks used equipment sale tomorrow in Anaheim right?

I may pass on going at this point.

That sounds fucking awesome
