I think he was speaking in regards to the general population/casual fan. Many of those only know Tito, Chuck, Rampage, Randy, Forrest, Hughes, & Franklin. It would be like getting NASCAR tickets and expecting to see Gordon, Jr., Stewart, etc. and finding out that it's the Busch series race where maybe 2 or 3 of those big names appear. To us, we follow the sport and so guys like Silva, Sherk, Evans, Nog, etc. as stars and consider it star power.

I think it depends on the EA game, like Need for Speed I see the arguement for no ads. In the case of sports games, I'd rather see the real ads in a venue than the developer or one single sponsor. For example, in NHL I want to see ads for Tim Hortons (for Canadian teams) or in the case of my beloved Ducks a Del Taco, OC Register, Carls Jr and Broadcom ad on the boards.

What I can't stand is the kids who wear the retro tour or old band shirts and have no clue about the bands they represent. For example, last year at my kid brother's 10th birthday one of his classmates wore a Pink Floyd DSM shirts and I wanted to ask him to name info about the band. As for the retro concert shirts, there should be a criteria to wear one unless you were at that tour.

You share the same feelings as much as the Ducks boards. I for one am aware of what Bertuzzi did, but I also remember how Kings fans were when we initially shipped Peja for the Tru-Warrior and the 180 fans did when they made the playoffs 2 years ago, so I welcome him to Anaheim and hope he doesn't prove me wrong.
