Hey, Funaki made the Great American Bash poster!

Apparently, some cocksucker (probably someone from here) registered "Matt Young" as a silver account on 4/24 so I couldn't use it. But I changed my Gamertag just now (only cost $2.50 due to the sale on Xbox Live point cards) from "Zeus Rambo" to "X Matt Young X", same as my AIM name. I also bought Rez and Puzzle Quest, so those of you who have Puzzle Quest should play me soon.

Since there was no thread about hockey games, I figured it was about time we had one. I chose to make it about both the 08/2K8 an 09/2K9 games so that we could discuss out experiences with the current games, and also because there is no info on the new ones yet- but we can post it here as it comes in. Now, I never even liked the sport of hockey until recently. But I purchased NHL 08. after having great difficulty finding a copy, this past Monday. It is rapidly becoming my favorite sports game ever. I have already played a good 10 online games, along with a half dozen exhibition games. The most addicting part, however, is the Dynasty mode. I began a dynasty with the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday, May 28th, at 5:35 A.M. (Yes, I am keeping track). As of right now, I have played 20 Kings games as well as 2 with my AHL affiliate, the Manchester Monarchs. That's all while playing other games and doing non-gaming related stuff as well. Consider the fact that, in other sports games, sports of which I have been a fan for many years, I shorten the seasons and still never finish them. I've had bad luck with injuries to Cammalleri, Frolov, and Handzus, but Cammalleri was the only one who missed significant time. Ironically, despite him being one of my best players, all 5 of my regulation losses have come with him in the lineup. I'm 14-5-0-1, after starting 2-2 and then going on a 3 game losing streak before winning my last 2 games. My toughest opponent has been mediocre Dallas. They're 8-11-0-1, with 3 of their wins coming against me. I just now beat them for the first time. They always seem to sneak in a last minute bullshit goal with Modano or Levinhen to beat me. Who else plays these games? I know we have hockey fans here. The games have been out for 8-9 months, but NHL 8 at elast is so good that some of you must play it. I have tried 2K8, and while it's decent, it's nowhere near as good as NHL. I may pick it up since the price has dropped to $30, as opposed to NHL 08's $50.

I posted this in the Mass Effect thread, but since I talked about it somewhat on Xbox Live with Agent Bond and Canadian Guitarist and figured you all might want to get in on it: From the Target ad for June 8-14 (NEXT WEEK): I know some of you will be buying Ninja Gaiden II. I can finally get Gears of War since the price has been lowered, along with Assassin's Creed. I'll be exchanging Mass Effect (already have it) at Wal-Mart- don't kill me, CG!- for Lego Indiana Jones.

I won't have a PS3 for at least a couple months. Sucks that I'll miss out on the MGS4 bundle, since getting the game plus a new DualShock 3 controller along with the 80gb system for the same price as the system itself is normally would be an amazing deal. However, I will be picking up the Essential MGS Collection (MGS 1-3) next week when it goes ons ale at CC for $23.99. I have never played any of the games in the series save for maybe 3-4 hours of the GameCube remake of the original.

Thanks for the advice, Edwin. I did as Exslade suggested and lowered the difficulty to beat it back then. I haven't played the game since GTA was released. I kept my party as such for the ally achievements, and because I want some sweet blue alien ass from Liara.

I bumped this thread rather than the one for the first game since I know people will likely start discussing part 2, especially with the awesome 13 page cover story in the newest EGM. The first game is being re-released with bonus content for $39.99 on June 24th. I can finally buy the game since they are lowering the price! However, I may just pick it up this upcoming week at Target, Circuit City is selling the game for $39.99. Price match + $10 coupon= $29.99 I don't care about the bonus content, except the map packs which are free for download anyway. Jesus. Vince will die before he ever unearths that match. The finish of the match was shown on the April 28, 2000 edition of ECW on TNN. Paul Heyman was not allowed to show the entire match and no footage of Tazz was to appear on the ECW Cyberslam 2000 home video. Actually, I don't believe any footage of the match was shown on ECW on TNN. IIRC, the only footage shown on TNN was Taz putting over Dreamer on the mic and handing the belt over before Dreamer gave his speech and you know the rest of the story. Ug, I know Dreamer losing the belt immediately made sense for his character, but it surprises me Paul E. really thought Justin Credible could get over as the company's top heel. I think it was more that he had no other options. Does anyone know why, ever since WWE.com switched to Silverlight, the ECW X-Stream cuts off about 30-60 seconds early?

That's just completely wrong. I don't see how him making a choice to jump out of the chopper to save everyone else was anything other than him choosing to stay behind. Three years had passed, and he had visited the 6. Something could easily have happened.

I think a lot of it just has to do with the island itself. That, and the island/Jacob's influence extends into the rest of the world in some way. Pretty much everyone but Kate had their lives fucked up worse after leaving.

There was a mention on Lostpedia of such a situation for an actress on the show. I figured it was Emilie de Ravin, but do you have confirmation?
