Ideally they can build a long term rivalry between Punk and Burke without them facing each other again one on one. Just let them take shots at each other in promos, really lay into each other in tag matches, commentate on each other's matches and subtlety feud over the next year. Have them both end up on RAW or Smackdown and build for them to be in one of the world title matches at Wrestlemania in 2009.

It's too soon to pull the trigger on Burke and Brown will never get a fair push due to the fact he was a major player in TNA. Also Kevin Thorne isn't particularly likely to receive a push especially since they fired his manager. Nitro is someone Vince sees as a future top heel and he has already held the IC title which is really only one rung on the ladder below the ECW title. I think they have long term plans for Punk which is why Vince didn't just put the title on him.

That's why my plan would work though. There'd always be 2 brands on the road at any given time and seeing as they only run two touring house show groups they wouldn't loose revenue apart from the current ECW timeslot.

I think they should cancel their timeslot on Sci Fi. Then rotate which shows use which timeslot providing each brand with 3 months rest and 9 months on TV. Have Wrestlemania be the only show where all three brands compete. At any one time one of the three brand / touring groups will usually be inactive apart from in the build to mania. Also this would keep crowds hot and provide boosts every time a brand returns and give scope for cliffhangers and storylines with clear conclusions.

So is Rey going to be choking people with random objects. injecting them with steroids and leaving bibles next to them after the match this summer?

And remember, two weeks ago WWE was reporting Vince McMahon's death Not to mention the fact that it's possible Nancy killed Daniel leading to Benoit killing her then himself... That would be kind of hard, seeing that Nancy died first, believed to die on Saturday and Daniel died on Sunday. There's no real confirmation of the days they died, it's all speculation.

From a storyline perspective I wonder if they will blame Estrada. Vince stitched him up make him announce to Lashley that he wasn't allowed to touch VKM, Shane or Umaga recently. Bitter from the beating which left him in a wheelchair wanting to regain control of "his" Samoan Bulldozer the machiavellian manager plotted his revenge culminating in Vince's death and him taking over the WWE with Umaga as his enforcer.

Or... They're giving him the break he requested.
