Geez, I got absolutley humiliated this week. At 1-3 I'm starting out on last year's pace when I went 2-6 before righting the ship Colorado Rockies-style en route to the Super Bowl. I need to catch that lightning in a bottle again and fast.

I'm glad AboveAverage didn't drop too much because he did lose to me by the second tiebreaker and I know that just sucks.

And the Phillies win the NL East....wow.

Thanks to Mr. Hill's 155 yards today against Michigan State I get my second consecutive win of the year to pull to 2-3. Crazy that I had to win on the second tiebreaker but the way the season has gone for me so far a win is a win in my book.

Yea, that was when D-Lo beat HHH for his first European championship. Of course the win wasn't clean as there was interference by the Rock and that was a huge upset because HHH-Rock had been booked title vs. title for Fully Loaded in a two out of three falls match and I didn't expect HHH to lose his belt. That whole issue then moved on to the next week's RAW where HHH interfered and nearly cost the Rock the IC belt against X-Pac but the Rock ended up retaining and the Fully Loaded match became a bout for just the IC title.

Well he might be announcing RAW and Smackdown! in the near future if they don't renew JR's contract.

Bill Richardson gave a pretty impressive interview two nights ago on the PBS News Hour with Jim Lehrer. It's probably too bad not a lot of people probably saw it because he came off as very pragmatic and not as crazy ideological as most of the candidates in this field.

What exactly was the whole Bradley situation about? I can't tell what the umpire told him and why because the post-game conference was bleeped out so much on ESPN. The Colorado Rockies probably aren't crying over it, though.

Yea, I can see Lovie sticking with Grossman through the season and the fan base and the locker room (especially the defensive side who will be at their wits end after week 17 due to the stress of having every game hang on their shoulders) revolting against him after the team possibly misses the playoffs. This would then bring up the interesting situation of the Bears drafting a QB which would not necessarily be a bad thing. Today in the NFL there aren't that many teams that need a QB so the Bears could land Brohm, Andre Woodson, or another player to guide them. Of course, I could see this also prompting controversy if Lovie STILL wants to stick by Rex and doesn't want to ruin his "confidence" by getting a QB. I think Chicago should explore a trade for a veteran QB but I don't think that's a realistic possibility and could hurt the team down the road to win in the immediate future. I also think Plummer's rights belong to Tampa Bay even though he is retired. Therefore, if the Bears wanted him I think they might still have to trade for those rights but I'm not enitrely certain about that.

I actually miss the orange and white uniforms Tampa used to have. When I play them in Madden I always put them in those uniforms. I've never been a fan of the red, black, and silver look. Those Eagles uniforms looked AWFUL today, though. Probably not. After all, Rex is his quarterback. I'm not saying Griese is the best guy they could get but they just need a quarterback who isn't going to throw into double coverage or make duck-type throws to keep the defense out on the field all game long. It pissed me off so much after the Super Bowl that everyone wanted to blame the Bears defense for costing them the game yet ignoring that the defense held the Colts several times to field goals in poor field position situations due to Rex's mistakes. Hell, maybe the Bears should contact Trent Dilfer or something because that's the kind of QB they need: someone who isn't the greatest QB in the world but doesn't make too many mistakes. Maybe the Bears should look at acquiring Kurt Warner from the Cardinals. He looked like he still had something in the tank today after that game with the Ravens.

It's nice to see Brett Farve having fun out there again.

They finally put Dennis Green's "they were who we thought they were" into one of those Coors Light commercials. However, they still missed the best line: "CROWN THEIR ASS!" I might also add that I'm a complete idiot today for taking Brett Farve out of the starting QB job in my fantasy and subbing in Jeff Garcia. How was I to know that Farve would be navigating San Diego as easily as a hot knife through butter?

I've got you beat. My three losses have come on a combined two picks because I lost week one on a tiebreaker and the subsequent weeks by one pick each.
