Well if you theoretically moved the Marlins to Portland and put them in the AL West then you could move the Pirates to the NL East and even up each division with 5 teams.

And where would these teams go? While everyone is ranting on here I might as well add that it has never made sense to me that the AL West has 4 teams and the NL Central has six. I'm a Reds fan so it makes me angry that we have to beat 5 teams to win the division while most teams have to beat 4 and in the AL West you only have to beat 3.

Call me a traditionalist but I really dislike interleague play. I wouldn't mind seeing the DH eliminated, though. I like the strategy side of the NL when the pitcher has to hit. Also, it would decrease the amount of pitchers beaning batters or throwing at their heads (Yanks-Sox I'm looking at you) because the pitcher has to hit so there is an incentive not to do that.

Although I'm a UK fan, I root for UL when they aren't playing the Cats. I was just shocked they lost to the Orange on their home turf. Did you guys lose THAT much on defense?

But their fan base is abysmal and they have an owner who is killing the franchise like he killed the Montreal Expos. Their attendance is usually horrendous. I hate seeing baseball played in empty stadiums and that is basically what the Marlins play in front of, even during seasons when they are having a moderate amount of success. Then again, I could live with the Marlins staying and contracting the Nationals instead.

Those conclusions seem to make sense to me. The biggest problem for pro sports in general is that they are pricing out the average fan to where it costs an arm and a leg to take a family of four to a game. I'm a firm believer that baseball would benefit from some form of contraction. Too many teams spread the talent a bit too much. I'd start by eliminating the Marlins and the Devil Rays (or I guess they are just "the Rays" now). I fear that if A-Rod opts out of his contract and someone grants him the $30 million a year that he wants that it could lead to another strike sooner rather than later and if that happens I think it could do more damage to baseball than the 1994 strike.

Well the Jays are one out away from handing the Red Sox a two and a half game lead in the division.

Part of me wishes games still came in cartridges and not CDs. CDs can scratch easily but those cartridges took a beating and still played.

Hey there, don't insult my school To be honest, though, WKU isn't that bad of a team. We got killed by Florida but put together a decent drive to start that game off and have gotten several recruits from the Florida area and outside of Kentucky in recent years. I have to thank Middle Tennessee two weeks ago though for helping me predict the UK-UL game because it is when they have up that many points that I knew UK would have a great chance at winning.

I'm glad other posters on here came to the same conclusion. That's the first time I can remember I was distracted from a match by such a poor ref job. Normally I kinda study a Referee when I watch a match to see, and here I tried to study Armstrong as well as I haven't Ref'ed a Fatal Four Way yet and he did such a horrible job there was absolutely nothing for me to study on what he was doing. If it taught me anything, it taught me how much a match can change if a Ref is doing a shitty job. I actually do the same thing in watching the referee but usually it doesn't distract me. I've always wanted to try to be a professional wrestling referee but with college and such I've never pursued it seriously.

I'm surprised Stevie jobbed there. I thought for sure it'd be between Thorn and Dreamer. That one bump with the powerbomb/suplexplex combination was pretty cool, though. Got the crowd on their feet.

I'm surprised the match is getting this much time but then again, it is ECW we're talking about. My bet is on Dreamer to get jobbed.

Finally picked up a win this week thanks to Arizona holding on against Seattle and New England dominating San Diego. My 1-4 record when combining both pick'em is making me angry but maybe this win can give me some positive momentum heading into next week.
