Well she is the only manager to manage three consecutive teams to the Tag Team Championships, an accomplishment that will probably never be repeated again. She definitely could've done more as a manager but after 1996 the WWF decided to move her to a simple interview/guest referee role and that was it. Her career was during the last era of real managers anyway as Jim Cornette was her major rival and he would also be gone from that role after 1996 as well.

I'd say par on 11 was also lucky for Tiger as his ball was nestled nearly up against a tree and he broke his 5 iron hitting the ball out and then played a beatiful up and down shot to save par. A lot of players really have a lot to shake their head over today. Goosen missed some critical putts down the stretch and his decision to lay up on 13 and 15 may cause him some nightmares tonight although its always risky to go for it in 2 on both holes. Also, Justin Rose has to shake his head after starting off terrible with two double bogeys in his first six holes.

Someone might have gotten word to him that Rose plucked his ball in the fairway of the 15th hole on 17. I dunno. I'm just glad someone decided to post a number today and drain some putts and stand up to Tiger rather than just acting like sitting ducks waiting for him to get some momentum and post a decent number of his own. Also, is it just me or does Tiger come off sometimes as a sore loser? Like in his interview he's honest about why he lost the tournament but didn't really say anything about Johnson's performance. There was no "Zach was putting up a good number and I couldn't catch it" or whatever.

I don't favor the elimination of shootouts as I find them exciting but it would make sense to me to go to a system where a win in regulation or OT = 3 pts., a win in a shootout = 2 pts., loss in a shootout/OT gets 1 pt., and a loss gets zero points.

Looks like Zach Johnson will win this Masters at +1 with Woods needing to hole in a second shot from the 18th to tie. I thought Retief was going to take it today but he just couldn't buy a putt on the back nine.

While I'm disappointed that the Leafs aren't playoff bound it's not like they weren't given chances to get into the playoff picture sooner rather than yesterday. After all, getting blown out in 2 of your last 3 games isn't the way to wrap up the year effectively.

I think if someone can come out early tomorrow and shoot a number to get to even par as Nick Faldo was saying at the end of Saturday's broadcast they have a chance of winning this thing. As I previously stated, I don't really think that's going to happen but it's going to be an interesting Sunday to say the least. I just want to see some new blood win a major championship and I'd love to see Appleby or Justin Rose take it all. However, we'll probably get "Tiger grinds out E and the rest of the field crumbles" version #849 and he'll win.

Leafs win! Leafs win! Now I have to root against the Islanders tomorrow. Talk about an up and down game listening to it on NHL Radio.

On a side note, I kinda get sick of commentators now saying that we are in a "new age" of college basketball and that programs like UK will never be that prestigious again. If that were the case then why is it that when UK goes on the road nearly every away game gets sold out? The UK name still has appeal and I just get angry when commentators run down the team and the program.

What in the hell happened to Appleby? I went out to get something to eat and came back and he went from -1 to +2??!?! Looks like Tiger will back into another major championship as everyone else decides to screw around on the golf course. This final round could be interesting tomorrow though if someone at +4 thru +6 shoots a round of 65 or 66 but with the weather conditions as they are I just don't see that happening. Looks like some of the Cards bad fielding has rubbed off on the Mets as they have 2 errors today and just had a costly one with Shawn Green dropping a fly ball in right field that saw Andruw Jones score from third and give the Braves a 3-2 lead and load the bases again.

Mike Diaz hits a Glavine fastball over the left field wall to put the Mets behind for the first time all season long 2-1 with one out in the bottom of the 2nd. It's hilarious to see how bundled up Jones is in CF for today's game but it is only 41 degrees out there so I can't say I blame him.

An error by Carlos Delgado on a 4-3 play results in the tieing run getting on base and eventually scoring in the bottom of the first. Could've been worse as the Braves had the bases loaded with one out.

Get MVP '05 if you don't really care about up to date rosters. It's only $5 used at EB and looks and plays great. Can you customize the length of the season in MVP '05? I love baseball games but I just hate the dynasty mode where I have to play all 162 games. Just gets a little tedious and I know I can simulate them but never like doing that. Yea delusional UK fans give fans like me a bad name due to their ridiculous assertions and expectations for the coming year. As Pat Forde said yesterday on Sportscenter, UK is not going to be a great team next year and it's going to take 3-4 years to revitalize the program and get back to an Elite Eight run. As far as cabbage's conclusion that Gillispie reminds him of when UK hired Eddie Sutton I have to say that's a funny conclusion because I kept thinking of Sutton yesterday during the press conference.

So for those of you on the board who have played this game is it worth the buy? The game that I currently play for MLB is MVP '04 and was wondering if this game is a decent upgrade for my PS2 system.

Edge's pre-WM Cutting Edge segment with all the MITB participants was one of the funniest promo spots I've seen in a while. His burn on Jeff Hardy had me in stitches.

I'll never forget watching the WM 22 DVD last summer and laughing my ass off when Cena put HHH in the STFU. The move didn't look painful in the slightest and Cena is just looking at the camera screaming "AHHHH!!!!!" It was one of the most ridiculous in-ring sequences I've ever seen in wrestling.

As a Toronto fan I desperately want to see the team back in the playoffs for the first time in the post-Pat Quinn era. That game against Montreal will be insane and I'll listen to it over the radio since I don't get any hockey games on my local channels. I'm mad the Leafs lost, though, because they could've gone against Montreal with an edge by being a point ahead instead of a point behind. This makes a big difference because if the Leafs-Habs game ends in OT and the Leafs won then both teams would end up with 91 points. Assuming the tiebreaker for the last spot came down to both teams (and not the Islanders) from what I read on nhl.com then it would be broken on the number of games won which Montreal would win 42-40. Therefore, I'll be rooting for the Islanders to lose this weekend and for the Leafs to win in regulation in order to get this final playoff spot.

I guess Gillespie would be better than Creane but I'm certain that this hiring is going to be the beginning of the end of Mitch Barnhardt's reign as AD at UK. Fans are already blaming him (rightly or wrongly) for not getting Billy D and if he hires a coach that fails to live up to expectations then he'll be the one the finger is pointed at after this debacle of a search. The sooner UK gets a head coach, though, the better because this is just killing whatever recruiting we had going on before Tubby left. I wonder why Mark Few hasn't been brought up as an alternative candidate. He's shown that he can recruit decent players at Gonzaga. I dunno whether he'd leave but I'm just surprised his name hasn't been mentioned along with the other candidates because people said he was going to be a candidate for the job for years. Just a bit odd.
