    Its beginning...

Waste of time, plain and simple. If it even gets to the Supreme Court I don't see Anthony Kennedy siding with the conservative bloc like in 1992 and Roe v. Wade gets upheld 5-4. Nuff' said.

BIG announcement expected backstage on Monday

This is my winner. It made me laugh a great deal.

Should WWE do another Draft this year?

You're joking right? I am sure TNA would let the WWE draft their talent away. That had to be the dumbest comment ever. Agreed. ROFL

BIG announcement expected backstage on Monday

Wonder if it'll be another time for HHH to get up and give the good ol' speech about how the office "gives" people the ball and they have to be prepared to roll with it when it's their turn. Oh yea, then he'll also give a talk about staying for every match on the card and getting to the arena uber early or some garbage like that.

    A possible storyline

I actually didn't mind the Slaughter-Warrior match considering the awesome commentary by Monsoon & Piper (who is irate and crazy the entire match) and the awesome ambush Savage gave the Warrior when he was chasing Sherri back to the locker room. The camera angle for it was awesome and Savage hit the Warrior with a damn spotlight which at the time was insane. Sure, the match may not have been that great but the crowd, Savage/Sherri, and the commentary more than made up for it. Plus, I would've rather seen Slaughter-Hogan @ Mania (which turned out to be a pretty entertaining match) vs. Warrior-Hogan II.

    A possible storyline

Did Savage ever get a match with Slaughter post-Royal Rumble 1991? I know he interefered in the title match to get a title shot since Warrior said no but did it ever translate into something? Also, does anyone agree with me that Rick Martel should've been the final guy in the ring w/Hogan @ that Royal Rumble considering how he was setting the record, the crowd was reacting well to him, and he was in there against Hogan/Bulldog/Knobbs/Earthquake as the final five? I just think they dropped the ball big time on Martel from January 1991 onward.

THE OAO Raw thread for 2/20/06

How is it going to come off in Chicago when a HEEL (or at least a booked one) wins the main event and the world title at the biggest show of the year? That has NEVER happened in WrestleMania history with the exception of the X-7 finish involving Austin's heel turn, but he wasn't booked as a heel entering that match. It just seems like a terrible decision to put HHH-Cena on last so that HHH can go over and piss off all of the wrestling world. Then again, it really is a no-win situation because no one wants to see Cena with the belt any longer and no one wants to see HHH with the belt again. I'm definitely saving my $50 from this WM, the first one I'll refuse to buy since I first became a true fan in 1995.

The Spirit Squad match was rockin'. Really made me re-evaluate those guys.

Am I the only person that thinks of that as the Bret/Piper finish from Wrestlemania VIII instead? No. I call it the Bret/Piper finish as well.

Just put the title on Taker since he won't drop the streak, big deal, and then have Angle regain it at Judgement Day in a specialty match where some interference can cost Taker the belt or whatever have you. I swear, fans will be talking about this match tomorrow and considering the other crap they have on the WM card they need this as opposed to a Angle-Orton snoosefest which you know they'll try to portray was Randy's headlocks wearing down Angle's neck.

Good to see UT turn on the working boots tonight. Once again, it'll be interesting to see how business does in the buildup to WrestleMania and after WrestleMania as we have the potential to see three heels go over in the main event: Orton, HHH, and McMahon (since HBK evidently wants time off after Mania).

    WCW "Secondary" Shows I.E.-Worldwide,Pro

I loved the Action Zone as a young fan on Sunday morning when it aired in my area. I'll never forget the moment when Barry Horowitz beat Skip and J.R.'s call "Horowitz wins! Horowitz wins!"

VP Cheney cant tell the difference between bird and human...

I find this whole media/political sensationalism of this incident absolutley ridiculous. Yes, I hope the guy Cheney shot doesn't die of a heart attack (if he does die they say Cheney would be investigated by a grand jury for any wrongdoing but c'mon it's a clear accident) but the way the media and the Democrats are playing this is crazy. Everyone is like "we should've known sooner" but may I ask WHY that's important? I mean, is it an issue of national security that Dick Cheney accidentally shot a guy? People are acting like this is part of a major cover up operation or something and Hillary Clinton bashing Cheney for being secretive is quite laughable to tell you the truth.

One and Only RAW Thread 2-13-06

I don't understand this booking of a HHH-Big Show redo. Both of them technically eliminated each other with that no contest which in common sense terms indicates that a BYE in final bout would go to the winner of RVD-Masters. Therefore, as far as I'm concerned this tourney is over but in the strange world of WWE it's not. Hell, this has already happened to HHH before. Remember when he lost to Ahmed Johnson in the first round of the 1997 KOTR by countout and then got another chance to qualify against Crush with the excuse being that he didn't know you could be eliminated from a tourney by countout and of course later won.

    Smackdown VS Raw 2006

For the Rumble challenge I unlocked it by using Andre, loading it up with light heavyweight guys, and STARTED at #1. I threw out 14 guys with the gorilla press move, won the match, and unlocked it. As far as the Reverse Casket & Spanking challenges go use two controllers. For casket reverse, move both players to the casket, throw one inside (that has your profile), use the right analog stick to shut the door, and then use the 2nd controller to press R2 when the meter goes into the blue. For spank, use both, throw one of the women into the bed and repeatedly try to do the move. It took a few tries by me but after five tries I finally passed it.

Bret Hart To Be Inducted In 2006 HOF

Why not Austin? In simple WWE storyline terms he has more relation to Bret than Benoit, although I wouldn't mind Benoit doing it either.

    Most underrated and overrated pppvs

I think Royal Rumble 1991 is underrated when people talk about good cards the WWF produced in the early 1990s. It had a hot opener with Rockers-Orient Express, a good effort from Barbarian-Big Bossman, a HOT crowd for the Warrior-Slaughter match (with great commentary by an irate/crazed/desperate Rowdy Piper), a shitty Koko B. Ware-Mountie match which doesn't even appear on the Coliseum Video version but does on a live broadcast tape I was able to buy on E-Bay, the epic Virgil face turn that the crowd goes apeshit over, and a pretty good Royal Rumble to boot (where I think the WWF dropped the ball on Rick Martel big time). Overall, I think all of the WWF pay-per-views from 1991 were pretty solid wrestling wise, especially considering the crap we see today. The worst of the year would probably have to be Survivor Series that year since it had the crappy finish to the Flair Team vs. Piper Team match and the company took Jake Roberts & Randy Savage out of the main event that killed any heat for Natural Disasters & IRS vs. LOD & Bossman.

Bret Hart To Be Inducted In 2006 HOF

Wonder if Bret will have to plug HHH as one of the greatest of all time like Hogan did in his HOF speech.

One and Only RAW Thread 2-13-06

So how do you think this double-CO situation will be resolved btw Big Show & HHH? In a regular tournament that would mean that RVD wins as he gets a BYE from the final, right?
  20. Danville_Wrestling

And of course it had to get worse

I'll just be interested to see the crowd reaction when these booking plans are put into motion over the next two months. The crowd is going to be shitting all over the finish at No Way Out when Mysterio gets his ass handed to him terribly by Orton, on RAW the crowd will shit all over HHH burying RVD in the tournament final, and then WrestleMania will be the real test when potentially three heels will win all of the big matches. I just don't see how business is going to be turning out for the better with such bad booking.

WON Notes - HOF inductee - Eddy....

Thanks for posting the WON Notes, I appreciate it. That Boogeyman OVW gimmick sounds pretty interesting to me. It may sound silly to some, but at least the WWE is recognizing that this guy is pretty limited. I'd like to see Owen get into the HOF too, but they might as well wait for a year when they could possibly induct the entire Hart Foundation. Any chance Martha could get up there, though, and start "shootin'" @ WWE?

    Joey Styles is terrible!

Styles is awesome and refreshing it's just his color commentary squad that sucks up the show.

WON News and Notes - WWE Star to retire soon

So could we potentially see a WrestleMania where the heels win ALL three big matches? I mean we could be seeing Orton go over Angle for the title, HHH burying Cena, and then see Vince beat HBK. Seriously, are they TRYING to go out of business?
