Best matches involving non-wrestlers!
Danville_Wrestling replied to Epic Reine's topic in General Wrestling
Shane vs. Test @ SummerSlam 1999 is an old favorite of mine. Stephanie vs. Lita for the Women's Title on RAW was decent. -
Why is Carlito in Fucking Character in Afghanistan?

My friend and I joked that he should get a roll-up with his feet on the ropes as his finisher in SvR 2006. That could actually create some funny (and also HIGHLY annoying) situations, but it'd make the game realistic. -
I'd mark out hard for that. Always loved that theme.

SummerSlam (name some good ones)

Yea, 1989 is a pretty underrated show. It's got some good action with the tag match and the six man tag match with the Fabulous Rogeaus & Rick Martel vs. The Rockers & Tito Santana is an awesome encounter. Plus, Warrior-Rude was MUCH better than their WM V match and the steel cage match they'd have @ SummerSlam the next year. I don't know how I managed to forget this show considering that Jesse Ventura rips the hell out of Schiavone throughout the Warrior-Rude match when Warrior hits Rude with the belt outside of the ring. Great times. -
SummerSlam (name some good ones)

I thought 1998 was a great version of SummerSlam. They had the whole "Highway to Hell" theme coupled with a cool video package and built up the show starting in late June. Just felt like something really special. I also agree that the 1991 SummerSlam was an awesome card with some fantastic moments (ex. Virgil over DiBiase and Bret over Perfect for the IC belt) and it had a great commentary team in the form of Monsoon, Heenan, and Piper. -
I swear, I'm actually sad to see Eric Bischoff leave Raw. I didn't like him during the WCW days, but I thought he was an effective GM. Tonight's episode was pure crap. Most of it was devoted to setup (HBK-Shelton, Edge with a new spin on his character, etc.) but using all of it to set up a trial we all knew the conclusion to was ridiculous. I still think that it would've been more realistic for Bischoff to be more vocal in defending his case and then just "shoot" on McMahon for jealousy, hatred, etc. That would've added more passion to the segment, but oh well Bischoff just went out like a pansy instead. I bet Stephanie McMahon will end up being the next GM on Raw and we have McMahon-Helmsley era II which will try its hardest to take the belt off of John Cena. At the rate they are going with these "your fired" skits it seems ANYONE affiliated with against Cena is leaving. Jericho opposed Cena and got fired. Bischoff used Jericho to try to beat Cena and then Angle and got fired. Is Daivari or Angle next? I wouldn't put it past them. VERY disappointing Raw. That was just painful to watch.

WE WAITED all night for that? What the hell are they going to do with Bischoff now?
-
Unless Cena busts out some monster rap on Bischoff to show his "new edge" as the WWE talks about, then he's lost me as a supporter forever.
-
Hell, if I were Bischoff here in this situation I would just go off on a rant against McMahon talking about how WCW crushed WWE and just tell McMahon to stick it. I mean go out like a martyr instead of begging for your job after you've just been humiliated in this "show trial."

I spoke too soon about Shelton losing. Sorry, just a fixed reaction since he's been losing since June.
-
GREAT, just job Shelton out in his hometown. FUCK you WWE.
-
Shelton better enjoy this match because considering how this crowd has been treated tonight the WWE may not be back here for a while.
-
I CAN'T believe we still have 30 minutes of this Raw to go. Where the hell else can we go tonight?
-
So we're gonna get EDge vs. Michael Hayes @ NYR?
-
Hayes came off as lame yelling @ Edge.
-
I know why the shows have been subpar all year. The writers have been pouring all of their creative juices into this trial segment!
-
RIP Kerwin White
-
If Shelton doesn't pick up the victory for his team tonight OR turn on HBK then his career is over after that pep talk.
-
Shelton jobs...NEXT!
-
Do we REALLY need the two lesbians on tonight? They wore out their welcome a long time ago.
-
Tajiri saying everything in Japanese and pointing at the translator when he was done was hilarious. Also, booking Tajiri in a match for testifying was hilarious.
-
And the ratings go to HELL~! This cause me to spit all of the water I was drinking all over the floor. Great post.
-
Dang, this women's match has more psychology than I've seen from most of the WWE roster all year.
-
I wonder what the crowd reaction will be like if they follow their plan and turn Trish against Mickey.
-
This is kinda like the trial of Saddam Hussein. We're about 99% sure of the outcome and yet we waste our time watching it anyway. TRISH!
