I guess the Undertaker will be given a new costume change again...a new record! SMELL THE RATINGS! -

That has to be the most overbooked, STUPIDEST ASS finish for a match I've ever seen. I mean Eddie's lowrider getting driven threw the set with fireworks and it being set on fire? Are you kidding me? On one hand I feel terrible for the way WWE handled this whole "Eddie Guerrero tribute deal" but on the other I couldn't help but stop laughing my ass off at this atrocity on my television screen. -

OH I get it...so the "Eddie Guerrero tribute match" gets to play second fiddle to the Undertaker-Randy Orton feud. Oh well, it's not like the WWE had any taste anyway. -

Mysterio's expression when he was grabbed in the chokeslam and hung in the air by Big Show & Kane was priceless. Randy Orton? Now this thing is fucked up. -

And now Mysterio has to face....KANE! -
I can't show it to you but at a RAW house show @ Rupp Arena this summer Shelton carried Carlito to a fun little match that lasted about 17 minutes. Also, it seemed that the crowd was really digging Shelton behind Cena & HBK, but that's probably changed with all of this jobbing. I said it over the summer as well that Shelton has become the Tito Santana of our time. He won't job overwhelmingly to another guy and will always be perceived as a threat to win, BUT the heel will win via cheating (ex. holding the ropes/tights/etc.). Shelton definitely has to be in the WWE dog house right now considering how he had to drop the belt to Carlito (where they could of MADE him in breaking the HTM's record) and job to every guy on the roster over the last several months. If it's because of a refusal to change gimmick that's the crappiest thing I've ever heard of, but since when does the WWE listen to the people. I agree that Shelton does blow his high spots too much now, which he needs to correct by going to a more mat based style or only doing moves he know he can pull off, and that he needs mic work BUT THIS IS WHY WE NEED MANAGERS. Sure, face managers come off as a little corny at times, but the guy has potential so hook him up with a manager who can talk and let the man's wrestling speak for itself. Also, promo ability comes with time. Bret Hart's promos in the early days weren't that great either, especially when he first became IC Champ, but they grew better later on. Finally, I'm not troubled that they are doing something with Murdoch. He showed some skill in covering up for that botched sunset flip last night. If they are going to push him to the IC title I say why not, the guy looks like he has more potential to do something than Carlito or Masters stinking up my TV screen. However, having him break out of his tag team so suddenly looks a little odd, but tag teams don't mean jack to the WWE these days. Sometimes I wonder why they just don't make the tag belts brand exclusive.

I didn't catch the pay-per-view, but the comment sounds funny and I don't believe it was meant with malicious intent (although I don't 100% condone the use of that word either). Besides, nothing tops the "racism" in the WWE more than the WM XIX match with HHH-Booker T with the whole "people like you Booker T don't become world champion." When I watch my DVD of that event I either skip the match or mute the commentary because the King's commentary is so racist it's uncomfortable to watch.

Minne freakin' sota.

So can we kiss Michael Irvin's chances at the Hall of Fame goodbye this year too?
-
Since Flair got carried out on a stretcher last night and the announcers were forecasting his demise I wouldn't be surprised to see the IC title declared vacant and a tournament be declared or something. Also, I imagine HBK will get yelled at by Bischoff for failing to finish off Orton and win the SS match for Raw. Whether that leads to some type of match I'm not exactly sure.

Australia Is Going To Germany 2006
Danville_Wrestling replied to Positively Kanyon's topic in Sports
Good job to Australia, I hadn't noticed the fact that they hadn't been to the World Cup in so long either. -
Is GM Mode only single-player? May sound like a dumb question, but I was just wondering.

Interesting line from the torch

I've just always viewed the "You Suck" chants at Angle as a sign of respect. I mean it's just part of audience interaction for everyone to get up and chant "You Suck" at his music. However, I think last week the "You Suck" chants could've taken a break, but I think the fans were just trying to alleviate the pain of the situation by getting back in the groove of something 'normal.' I wouldn't dwell on it too much. -
Yea, I definitely agree and Sweden has to try not to choke like they did against Belarus like the last go around.

Go Leafs Go! Say what you want about the controversial call but a win is a win in my book and I'll take a 2-1 victory and two points over the leading team in the Atlantic division anyday of the week.

Yes you cannot determine the winner unless you play the match. Although some people complain, I see it as a challenge <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yea, I do too. Plus, I don't see the fun in buying a game so you can just simulate stuff. This'll be great as I can run a fed in an organized way like I did for the N64 games (mostly WCW/NWO World Tour and WCW/NWO Revenge). Hopefully, though, there won't be a Glacier-type character on the system that regardless of who I put him up against he wins. Then again, his main challenger in my booking storylines was always Lex Luger so that may have had something to do with the problem...

The Impact of Eddy's Death on the WWE
Danville_Wrestling replied to SilverPhoenix's topic in The WWE Folder
Who says, considering the past history of the WWE in the last several years, that they'll learn ANYTHING from this or do anything DIFFERENT? Just being pessimistic but that's what this company has now done to me. -
I haven't been shocked at a wrestling death this much since Owen Hart. Just to think that we were two months away from getting through the year without any shocking deaths and then this hits. RIP Mr. Guerrero.

Toronto escapes a close one in Montreal in OT with a goal by O'Neill to win 5-4. I really thought we had this one lost when Montreal took the lead for the first time as the third period was winding down, but we got the crucial two points.

Terry Bradshaw to rescue Saints from Benson?
Danville_Wrestling replied to teke184's topic in Sports
Yea, the people of Los Angeles don't want a team but the NFL is going to shove it down their damn throat anyway. Also, isn't the NFL big enough already with 32 teams? -
Yea, that's the same reason I was disappointed they didn't include Yoko when they put the WM IX arena in the game. It'd be cool to have the Hart-Yoko match and then maybe a Yoko-Hogan match to relive history. That's why I say if the WWE wanted to release a legend's game they'd have TONS of stuff at their disposal for it. As far as unlocked the Legends is concerned I'd probably go in this order: DiBiase Bret Hart 80s Hogan The Rock Steve Austin Mankind Then it's just random between two more Hogans, Jimmy Hart, and the JYD all of which are four Legends I didn't want to see in the game at all. I mean c'mon WHY would I want to play as Jimmy Hart in a wrestling video game instead of someone like Mr. Perfect, Yokozuna, Vader, or something like that. Hell, Old School Undertaker would've been better. I guess they decided that Jimmy's rating in the 60s would lead to some fun matches with the divas or something.

Ah, that crazy Vince Russo and his ideas that look, sound and smell like shit. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I agree the idea is crazy, but it'd just add to the mystique of the Undertaker. However, on second thought considering that the "Dead Man" morphed into an "American badass biker" and now some cowboy ripoff it'd probably look like shit.
