I'm going to see Brian Wilson and his band perform SMiLE tonight at the Clyde Auditorium in Glasgow, Scotland. I've been waiting a year for this night and the day has come. HUZZAH. Anyway, has anyone else been to see him or is maybe going to see him soon on his European tour?

I might go and see Mike and Bruce, but tickets won't be cheap and it won't be a patch on what happened tonight. I wish they'd get together and do it again, but I don't see it happening until something major happens. A damn shame, because I'd pay all the money in the world to see Brian, Mike, Al and Bruce up there singing again.

Or the Love You tour!

Simply the most amazing, sparkling, shimmering, energetic, enthusiastic, perfect, religous gathering of people, music and soul I have ever witnessed. Brian Wilson and his wonderful backing band blew the roof off of the Clyde Auditorium, running through a near two hour set, which spanned from little known gems such as Hawaii and Good Timin' to God Only Knows and Heroes and Villains. All the top hits were here, including California Girls and in the encore, Surfin' USA, Fun, Fun, Fun, and Help Me Rhonda and Brian also showed off a couple of new songs. After the interval Brian, led the band through the SMiLE section of the show. A seamless 30+ minutes of music followed which had the group snorting like animals, singing like angels and wearing fireman's helmets. After finishing with Good Vibrations, Brian recieved a standing ovation. The group then came back out as did Brian for a run-down of all the Beach Boys greatest sing-along tunes. Almost everyone was dancing and clapping along in the final spurt and when Fun, Fun, Fun ended, nobody left. Brian came back and sang Love & Mercy to finish the show. Everyone was touched. A Magnificent night.

Torrie's lucky she's in the business. Kidman actually has talent. -

1805 was the best year for the board.

Not at all, and I would hope you don't When you're giving your opinion on a matter I believe you are. If you didn't care you wouldn't say anything.Since you do though you're voicing it and looking for feedback/approval of it from somebody. Whether it be for somebody's amusement or to defend a view. When you voice something you care about it. I never said you wanted to be Mr. Popular, I believe I said you wanted to be some kind of Internet King. Which means you want to believe you're better than most everybody here to compensate for other things. Perhaps shit is going on in your life that you can't control and others around you talk down to you or something, thus you come here and treat others how you're treated on a daily basis. Kind of passing the load of shit onto the next available person. So I see Well that's beyond your control. You've been here for awhile now and people know that you know stuff having to do with the board. OAOAST stuff people think to go to you, explanations on past incidents people weren't here for they'll go to you. It might not be Key to the City kind of shit but its popularity. Tht's good, its what the board should be used for. However there are about a 1,000 other people here other than your buddies and you do have to have some consideration. If you bore people so what, they can skip over it. Annoy people, well you come here and slam them in hopes of reaching a common ground, but to repeatedly offend people...well that will probably cause problems sooner rather than later and get you sent packing. Since I know you have a brain and actually think things over I don't believe you just say anything without consideration, you're above that. Once again, I agree...and I hope you wouldn't go out of your way to try and do so. Is that what this is about? The old neanderthal way of thinking Hazing is needed? Shit on people until they stink of the tribe's scent? Either way I would leave out the "etc." because people like Mr. Rant, KKK, Downhome, Sass, UYI, JAxlMorrison, other board members that aren't you, Chave, Banky, and Inc welcome people here and give them a chance. You four however for whatever reason feel it nessecary to break in the newer people which is just pretty dumb. At least the kind people here far outweigh the ones who wish to just attack people for no reason other than to attack somebody. There's that way of thinking you four are better than the rest for no other reason than you think so. No clue who that is but Banky has been banned, wasn't Chave also banned? I think I heard that in some thread. Either way you're all just stepping on the line and slowly trying to inch over it without being noticed. Sooner than later though you'll turn an inch into a yard and get tossed out. I'd rather see you just sit back, take a deep breath and chill before it happens though. No worries, I have tough skin where the insults don't really bother me...I just question the need for them. I'm also above it to still lend ya an ear if something like what occured with your brother happens again, or some other situation. I'm no doormat, but at the same time as I've previously said this isn't something where people have to work up the nerve to say this to somebody's face. They just type away without concern, and that's why I don't care. God, you need to get out more, son.

Automatic is my personal favourite followed by Murmur and New Adventures In Hi-Fi - all classics. Automatic For The People: ***** Murmur: ***** New Adventures In Hi-Fi: ***** Fables Of The Reconstruction: **** Docment: **** Green: **** Life's Rich Pageant: ***1/2 Reckoning: ***1/2 Out Of Time: *** Reveal: *** Monster: *** Up: *1/2 I like all of their albums (except Up), but I've grouped Up, Reveal and Reckoning together because I feel those albums to be their least significant. Reckoning is a good album, but it didn't break any new ground like Murmur or Fables; Up is just awful; and Reveal leaves me cold. Great band; great albums. Vote away.

Hogan.

Bruce wasn't even with the Beach Boys when this was recorded. He had fallen out with Jack Riley, the manager, and left in 1972, only to return in 1979 to produce the LA Light album.

I have never heard of this story before as I've never seen it written anywhere. But the Beach Boys' past is so muddy I wouldn't be surprised if it did happen. Although, I can't really see Brian enjoying that kind of music, especially around that time. Unlikely.

Could you get anymore patronising?

I don't listen to Out Of Time much, mainly because they are so many poor and lethargic tracks on it (Endgame; Half A World Away; and Low) and it's generally slathered with strings and boring arrangements (Radio Song; Me In Honey) Losing My Religion is a classic as is Shiny Happy People and Near Wild Heaven is good too (nice lead from Mills). Texarkana is a decent rocker but it just sounds like an updated Driver 8. Monster is patchy. The end of the album is unlistenable. King Of Comedy is the best track on it. Generally though, they stick to the same chords (D, G, A) throughout and it's fun to play but dull to listen to.

Hardly. It's not difficult if you've been raised with a ball at your feet. It's just a case of passing the ball, keeping the ball close to you, and hitting it cleanly. If you can do that, you'll fit in in any game in the park. I'm a goalkeeper.

Weapons inquiry is needed because the British public want to know WHY we went to "war" with Iraq. Sure, we got "Saddam", but that doesn't excuse the fact that Blair might have justified the invasion by lying about the Weapons Of Mass Discretion .... sorry, destruction.
