Sorry, but I don't want HHH involved, I'm a fan, but even I know the push could be stopped dead if he somehow got invovled. Kane DOES need to beat up HHH a few times leading to a match where HHH DQ's himself after a punishing 15 minute affair. Kane is so upset that he brutalizes HHH with numerous chairshots and the sledgehammer before putting HHH away with a piledriver off the top of the ramp. This would leave HHH out for weeks and when he came back he'd be scared shitless and vacate the title (that way he won't job) and him and Evolution could hightail it to Smackdown for some faces for Kane to steamroll over before he takes on the SD! roster in his ultimate quest to put his brother down once and for all.

Well that's what happens when you build heels like Kane, add to the fact that he was a sympathetic character for so long, it's going to be hard for people to stop cheering him. Even HHH was getting REAL HEEL heat for the first time in a long time last night, but the crowd seemingly refused to boo Kane. Still, there was no need for Shane to come out there and pummel Kane. Kane should have just grabbed Shane and obliterated him for 15 minutes with chairshots (including the throatshot) and a table piledriver and a chokeslam off the top of the ramp. The announcers could have just sold it as a remorseless monster trying to kill "hero" Shane McMahon for trying to avenge is mother. NO ONE SHOULD BE GETTING THE BETTER OF KANE. If HHH were to fight Kane, it should be a hellish contest with Kane no selling most of the offense and putting away HHH in a brutal manner. Kane is NOT to be fucked with at this point.

*Sigh* I knew they were going to ruin Kane. I guess they saw he was getting heat, but not heel heat like HHH and Jericho, so they decided to make him weak (gots to look weak as a heel), program him against face Shane, and tease an EVIL~ Mr. McMahon alliance. Damnit, leave Kane alone and let him destroy everyone in his path. Let him run loose over both rosters and retire Undertaker at one of the fall PPV's and continue his path of rage until he's finally felled at WMXX, wash, rinse, repeat every three or four years.

Oh, and PLEASE don't let them split up the The Word's Greatest Tag Team. They actually got over by WRESTLING. I rarely seem them cut a promo, yet they are over huge as heels. They're very entertaining to watch and hopefully they'll break out some new moves so they won't get stale.

There are plenty of "Rocks" out there. It's a pretty common phenomenon. But will they stayover like the Rock though? I remember if you wanted ANYONE to get heel heat in late '99 to 2001, you programmed them against the Rock. Those were the days.

I'm with this guy. Also, I've only seen 15 minutes (including entrances) of HBK/Shawn (WM), it was looking to shape up nicely, but the idiot didn't finish recording the match. So, I really can't judge that one. I REALLY think that Benoit/Angle is overrated. Sorry. I've seen the match and some of the spots were nice, but I never felt any of the "emotion" or "drama" that's supposed to accompany this match. I'd give it three and a half stars if I could put a rating on it. Personally, I think it was the standing O that Benoit got that makes the match rate so highly in you guy's eyes. The only matches in recent history that I'd give five stars are HHH/Shawn from SS '02 and the Rock/Angle/Taker masterpiece from last summer.

Was the finish, "Eddie cheats to win?" Because if it was, you better get used to these "comedy finishes," he's supposed to be the next Austin with this schtick.

Um, that also sounds like Anglesault, and no one has a problem with him. The only reason in my mind, is because most of you agree with his opinions, whether asked for or not, no matter how overdramatic or over-the-top he may present them. He's no different than Johnson, except he says the right things, likes the right people, and dislikes the right people. Johnson's opinions differ from the majority and he is always flamed for it, nevermind he doesn't initiate the attacks. Just look at CMW's post from the first page. Was it necessary for CMW to call him a moron? Who cares if it's NHB, I've seen people banned for less than that.

What? Repackage Kane? NOW? You're insane. Kane is the best thing on Raw sans Evolution in my opinion. He's a hot heel that's not HHH/Orton/Flair. A nice alternative for those of us who don't like Jericho's whining promos. Plus, his storyline is playing out nicely. Benoit will could NEVER recapture the magic that was HHH '99-'01. As much as people try to downplay the great heel HHH once was, there's no denying that no one got the crowd in a heated frenzy more. He didn't use cheap heat or clever catchphrases, he wasn't particulalry funny. He went out there and said, "Hey, I'm going to beat you anyway I can," and he did, and the fans HATED it. And he got pure heat. No pops, no cheers, just straight boos for a good year. THAT's a heel. Benoit will never come close to that.

It won't. The reaction he got on SD! was due to him totally outclassing Benoit in the promo department, the hispanic heavy venue, and the clever (for now) match tactics. And despite all that, he still got a mixed reaction, there were times he was getting mostly boos. People cheered HHH in 2001 as a heel, in fact his pops were TWICE as loud as Eddie's and no one was calling him the next Austin. Hell, HHH still gets huge face heat now, and he DEFINATELY will not be the next Austin. Kane gets bigger pops than HHH and he's arguably RAW's top heel. Cena gets pops and so does Jericho. No one is claiming these guys will be the next Austin. You all just took a little good news and ran with it. The fact that Eddie may not be able to sustain these reactions if he goes against someone like Brock or Angle has not been brought up.

You all always bash marks for cheering faces and booing heels and basically being marks when it's convenient, and now you're conveniently ignoring that by making Eddie into some type of phenomenon that defies mark behavior? If Eddie had been a heel going against Angle or Brock, that shit would not have flown. But, he was a face going against Team Angle who ARE massively over. People hate them. People were getting on the Eddie/Tajiri bandwagon. Put those two together and you get the reaction that happened during the match. Stop trying to act like this is going to create the next Austin.

Jericho only got heel heat when he used cheap heat promo tactics and ambushes. Other than that he was basically cheered. On a side note, Jericho has been a heel for almost TWO YEARS, and I've yet to see the 1998 WCW Jericho everyone was raving about.

Cena would suck as a face, remember Road Dogg? Cena's character is a wigger. They aren't well liked people. They are despised universally. So why would the fans get behind a wigger character. He would be turned into a joke like Hurrcane, another gimmick that worked TEN TIMES BETTER as a heel. As for Eddie, his promo style would change if he were booked as a face. Also, matches would be hardr to plan out and the heels would lose heat because they'd be constantly outsmarted. You have to think of little things like that. There are other factors besides crowd reaction. I didn't say to turn him face... I was saying they made two heels so over they have become de-facto faces when they can't create a Face on their own efforts. Oh, okay. And actually, most faces are made this way. Austin, Rock, and HHH to a lesser extent all come from being so over as heels that they were eventually cheered.

Actually, the whole thing started long before the Team Angle match. When Chavo and Eddie were heels, they cheated just as often as Eddie does now and did when he was a face. Eddie's character has basically been the same for the past year almost, including the few months after he was turned face by John Cena's superheel promo. The only difference now is that the cheating has become a focal point of his character as in it is so clever. However, it suits him as a heel. As a face, the cleverness would be detrimental as cheating is one of the few tactics a heel has at his disposal. If you have a guy like Eddie outsmarting super heels like Benjamin and Haas, and John Cena, they lose heat, or have to be booked like HHH and get clean win after clean win to keep their heat.

Um, he was still drawing a mixed reaction against "Boring" Benoit in the hispanic heavy Fresno. While it was good to see face Benoit get booed, it wasn't like Eddie was getting Austin '98-'99 face pops. He got a lot of cheers, but he still got alot of boos. We'll see how it holds up outside of Fresno.
