You almost had a decent point until the thing about Florida being the one team in the SEC who could score. Their offensive woes in comparison to other SEC teams and their reliance on defense to keep them in the game was highlighted as a major concern going into the SEC Title Game. They beat Vanderbilt by six for this very reason. The last two games of the year were the only games they showed any kind of above average offense. Leak wasn't a fit at all in Meyer's scheme. And ask Notre Dame about LSU's ability to score, or ask Cal about Tennessee's ability to score, ask Va Tech about Georgia's ability to score, hell South Carolina scored 44 in their bowl game. The offenses aren't bad, especially when they get to play against other conferences, it's just that theirs is a conference where they don't have to look up "defense" in the dictionary every offseason-a situation that, I'm sure, very much hits home to those who follow the Pac-10. EDIT: With the obvious exception being USC.

He was standing in the ring during his promo vid, I guess that counts.

I think they did better with the "Super Hermione at the expense of Ron" thing in this film. I agree the Ron/Hermione dynamic was horrible in the third film and was one of the few things done better in the first two films. Remember Hermione hurdling Whomping Willow branches and literally slinging Harry, the hero of the books, into the passage to the Shrieking Shack? Yeah, one of the reasons I prefer Yates to Cuaron.

No, learn that when a team gets a new asshole ripped by another team and loses the majority of the defense while the other team retains more starters at key positions including the Quarterback who threw for 300 yards and four TDs against aforementioned team the prior year, it probably means that the first team shouldn't be perceived as "better". And the differences between the SEC and the Pac-10 are well documented to the point that your suggestion is quite humorous, actually.

I think the movie patron who hasn't read the books just assumes Voldemort sent them, but I don't think its such a big deal that they need to include a revelation that Umbridge did it, seeing as how it really fits the whole storyline of the ministry being ignorant to Voldemort's return and how dangerous their indifference can be, which really is more fitting than Umbridge sending them herself seeing as how she's not exactly a death eater or anything. I think OotP was my favorite movie thus far of the series, and I have read the books. I understand that some things need to be cut from the books when adapted to the big screen because they're not all entirely condusive to film. Although I do wish the prophecy was expounded upon.

I know this is a belated reaction to the preseason polls but...Cal voted ahead of Tennessee again? When they return roughly the same amount of starters? Do they never learn?

PWInsider.com reported Monday afternoon that multiple sources familiar with the plans for tonight's RAW are very optimistic about the show. According to the report, if the show airs according to the plans as they were during the day, it will be a "very fun" edition of the Monday wrestling program. Thats just damn scary.

Cena hasn't been getting ANY noticeable boos in a long time. It's a tired argument used by people who haven't watched since he actually was getting mixed reactions. And yes, at this point in time, he's a bigger draw than an Austin or HHH or Foley. Although I will agree that the "Time is Now" (no obvious pun intended) for him to lose that title and get rid of the spinner.

It was the first joke Jimmy Kimmel made at the ESPYs, its a pretty established joke. Sad as it is.

Just finished it(got it late and read it through the night) and hot damn, was it exciting. I feel a couple of characters, notably Lupin, got snubbed in the end, but this was an absolute thrill ride from the beginning. You can really tell how Rowling has changed as an author since the previous books, as this book flowed more like a movie than any of the others, if only because of the one liners("not my daughter bitch"/"You should not have done that"/The Hermione & Ron kiss after the House-Elf thing) and the dramatically built action sequences. Some of it was predictable, but with the the other books having so many cliffhanger endings and shocking revelations, this one kind of HAD to be the "All is well" conclusion. I loved how EVERYONE came to the final battle. Mrs. Weasley, Kreacher(great face turn, btw), Trelawney, Neville's Gran!? Snape's story was tear-jerking. Most awesome and interesting character of the series.

Edge injured; out of action for undetermined length of time
ANKLELOCK replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
That could work. Have Hardy win the belt at Cyber Sunday or whatever the last PPV before Edge's return ends up being. Edge can then return to do a sneak attack on Hardy similar to what Hardy did to him in '05, with no build up or anything so as not to create babyface sympathy heat. "Hardy took Edge's title while he was out with injury like Edge took Hardy's girl while he was out." Use something like that as the storyline and go with it. Hell, I don't care. I just want to see Hardy with the title. -

I laughed my ass off when he tried to play the "I took steroids and look at me!" card. I could listen to that guy ramble all day. -
Has anyone mentioned the fact that Sandman will apparently have to be in the main event of Vengeance due to his being a former ECW World Champion? Lashley's in there, so Sandman will surely be as well, right?

Javy tossing people like he's fucking Joey Crawford. I hope the league suspends his ass as they did with Crawford. I'm not going to say the Jazz were robbed, but damn they did not deserve the treatment they got. Even ESPN acknowledging it: "Spurs getting home cooking on the road"

Pretty fucking rediculous how biased the refs are toward San Antonio. Bullshit. Bullshit technical as I type this on Fisher will the usual acting job by Ginobili. God I hate the Spurs and Steve Fucking Javy. Embarassing. I hope David Fucking Stern is happy.

Why are there still people that want to see Cena get booed? He's becoming an internet darling again. You're kinda out of the loop. That was a hell of a promo by him.

The June 11 edition of Monday Night RAW is going to be a 3-hour special. The USA Network’s website is advertising the show as a “Draft Special", which would indicate that the show will feature a draft lottery. Credit: LordsOfPain.net Well, with the recent injury bug and the stagnant title pictures lately it appears as though a new booking period is about to begin with this show. A news release recently said that all talent from all brands would be featured on this show so this makes a lot of sense. Who would people like to see jump, and to where(assuming this is true)?

Unfortunately, it seems all but certain that Rey is going to Raw, and I wanted to see a Benoit/Rey series and a Rey/Edge series.

Deron Williams rules your world.

This place wipes the floor with DVDVR. They, no shit, believe Mark Henry is better than HBK, Cena is better than Bret Hart, Finlay's wrestling style is antiquated and boring, Raw is better than SmackDown, and that WWE now is better than WWE circa 1998-2000. Whoever said DVDVR was like the twilight zone is dead on. They all obviously spend all their time watching wrestling; they all know about all of Japan's promotions, etc. They use a bunch of smarkish lingo to justify their bizarre opinions, yet they are absolutely the biggest pseudo-marks in the world and eat whatever WWE feeds them.

How can somebody definitely be better than Malone but not Barkley. Apparently lack of titles doesn't hinder Barkley to you because it was during the Bulls Era, but so was Malone, and the Jazz got to the Finals two years in a row and almost made it a couple of years before that. Neither Barkley or Malone had a title, but the difference is that Barkley isn't the #2 scorer in NBA history.
-
Charles Barkley is convinced the Jazz are going to win this series. Wish I could say I was quite as confident. Funny interview yesterday with Jerry Sloan by ABC. "Do you watch TV?" "I don't own one." "Do you have a computer?" "No." "Cell phone?" "Got one of those." "Ever heard of an IPod?" "Yeah, one of those things you sit a camera on."

On homosexuality: "I believe that all of us are born heterosexual, physically created with a plumbing that's heterosexual, and created with the instincts and desires that are basically, fundamentally, heterosexual. But I believe that we have the ability to experiment in every direction. Experimentation can lead to habitual practice, and then to a lifestyle. But I don't believe anyone begins a homosexual." How is that an absurd statement?
