Bah. Tennessee isn't nearly as bad down low as you make them out to be. Yes Oden is a freshman, and has gotten better, but both of UT's post guys are freshmen that have improved exponentially over the course of the year. And again, we practically beat OSU if not for a big-time aberration at the end of the game with Oden getting 24 and 15. He can't do much better than that. It's not like he's due for big numbers against the Vols, he HAD his big numbers and they still snuck by in their own place by nothing but luck. I'm not saying we're the favorites, but Tennessee should be given more consideration than: "Their a Pearl-esque, guard oriented, can't defend down low jobber in the second/third round"

I absolutely LOVE the Vols placement and they can certainly make a big run, but, as someone said earlier, they are a dubious tourney team especially in the early rounds. They play down to their competition to the same degree they play up to their competition. However, they couldn't have gotten a better draw. Virginia doesn't impress me and we obliterated the #2 Memphis Tigers when we played them(last team to beat them in fact) and SHOULD have beaten OSU in Columbus if not for a missed FT by Lofton(90% shooter) and a last-second 3-pointer by Ivan Harris. I'd personally put us right behind A&M and the Buckeyes as the favorites in, quite frankly, a weak Region.

Rivals.com and Scout.com, the established recruiting trackers, have them #2 ESPN's USC blowjob "rankings" aren't legitimate EDIT: To add, i'm not sure that ESPN takes JUCO or prep school into account, or else there is no reason South Carolina and Texas are ahead of UT. Especially considering I just watched ESPN's analysis and when mentioning wide receivers, they surprisingly listed UT's 3rd and 4th graded wideouts, and since the 1st and 2nd are from JUCO and Prep school, respectively, it makes me wonder wheter they grade such recruits. Doesn't really make sense for them not to, but it might explain why their rankings seem so different from the other recruit ranking services.

Tennessee has put together a fabulous recruiting class ranked #2 nationally and including five 5-star recruits. The #3 prospect in the country, Eric Berry, looks to be a two-way player but will start at corner. Two 5-star receivers, Kenny O'Neal(formerly of Florida State) and Brent Vinson, and one 4-star one, Ahmad Paige, look to add to a receiver corps that lost its superstar, Robert Meacham, to early departure. To add to the talent on the perimeter, 5-star recruits Ben Martin and Chris Donald look to strengthen the front seven of the Defense. Trooper Taylor does it again, thank God he didn't accept the head coaching job at Baylor.

They play in that overrated conference, the SEC.

How can anybody doubt that the SEC is the best conference, year in and year out? It's as close to accepted fact as something like that could get. They got fucking nine teams into bowls and the worst of those handled the ACC's second best team. And the Big Ten didn't even get a win in bowl until yesterday.

Wow...I'm definitely seeing this opening night. Battle of Thermopylae is one of history's greatest battles, IMO.

I've seen Ohio State play three entire games and Florida four, that I can remember, and I see absolutely nothing that tells me Ohio State is even close to being two touchdowns or more better than Florida. In fact, I say with quite a bit of confidence that Florida, athletically, is the more talented team of the two. And Michigan is no where near being better than Florida. You wanna take style points into consideration, which is what all the Michigan apologists are doing, and you have to account for the fact that Michigan was one well-timed goal line stand away from losing to fucking BALL fucking STATE. And they barely beat Northwestern and Vanderbilt when Vandy was playing their first game with almost a completely new team with a new starting QB to replace Cutler. At least Florida manhandled thier(few and far between) easy opponents. Florida is definitely more deserving. Oh, and LSU will annihilate the most overrated team in maybe college football history, Notre Dame. Anytime the Irish play a team with the most remote amount of talent on their cupcake-filled schedule they get dumptrucked, and I don't expect anything less when they play the most talented team in the country. LSU by five TDs.

As boring of a prospect as a rematch of a game we just saw two weeks ago(that was no where nere the classic some people say it was), it looks like we're going to have it. I'm not that disappointed. It would've been awful for Florida fans to have the Bball and F-ball titles to yap about.

Whatever intrigue the UM/OSU matchup had is now gone. Let's have a team like Florida or USC have a shot, for Christ's sake. Something FRESH rather than a game we just...now...saw. That was a major part of the USC vs. Texas game last year-they hadn't played each other and there was intrigue as to how they would match up. Basically, Rematch=Boredom city.

I don't see what the big deal is about an SEC team having a weak non-conference schedule. There has to be some kind of a breather in there between playing great conference teams every weak. USC's conference games(i.e. two-thirds of their schedule) IS their breather. Without ND and Arkansas(a depleted version of the team that playing pretty well right now), their schedule would be nothing. If Florida wins the SEC, no doubt they should play in Tempe. I'm sick of the SEC being punished when it comes to choosing who's in the title game like they are every year just because they kill each other all year and don't wanna schedule anybody else.

Jazz will be 9-1 by week's end. Book it.

Jazz defeat the Pistons to improve to 4-0 and look like the best team in the league thus far. I predicted it and its coming to fruition-we're gonna be awesome.

Tim Tebow, Mitch Mustain, and Matt Stafford might just not be the best freshmen QB's in the SEC after Crompton's performance in, for all intents and purposes, his only real game to significantly play in. I still wish we didn't have to blow two score leads and have star players out to lose big games. It just leaves a disgusting taste in your mouth.

Florida's ranking has my stomach groanining in regret of not having a healthy Tennessee tailback to run out the clock November 16.
