Looks like I'm not the only one who thinks Tennessee in the best team is the NFL. Michael Holley of the Boston Globe on Around the Horn-"Greg Robinson, the Kansas City defensive coordinator, takes to many chances and Steve McNair, the MVP, will exploit their overrated defense. Tennessee has 30 points a game, six games in a row. Only two other teams have done that in NFL history. I like the Titans in the AFC Title game." Stat Boy from ESPN on Around the Horn-"I think Kansas City will go undefeated in the regular season, but will lose to the Titans in the AFC Title game. The Titans are the most complete team in the NFL. That offense is incredible. Steve McNair is incredible. The Titan defense is the key. They are much better than the KC defense. They made the Dolphins look pathetic and turned a hyped AFC game into a route." Eat that. I told you the Chiefs are just lucky and they don't have to play the Patriots or Colts or Titans in the regular season. What, are the Around the Horn guys just anti-Chiefs like Randy Cross, who said the same thing in the Titans-Dolphins game yesterday. He said they had 4 Chief games and he thinks the Titans are the better team. It really don't matter though. You'll all realize it when the Titans whip the Chiefs in the title game.

Dante Hall? 4 kick returns for TD aren't good enough Stephen Davis? We held him to 16 yards in one game. Portis? ????????????? Manning? He doesn't have near the numbers McNair does. Jamal Lewis I can somewhat understand. The bottom line is(and Sean Salisbury said this exact thing in the Titans vs Chiefs segment) Steve McNair is the MVP. And it isn't even close. The margin between him and the rest of the league is as wide as the grand f'n canyon. In the preliminary Pro Bowl voting, he led the LEAGUE in Pro Bowl votes by 10,000 vote margin over the second highest player. He was given 1st half MVP by EVERY publication, including ESPN.
-
THATS a definate weakness. We got rid of Neil O Donnell. Our backups are Billy Volek and Jason Gesser. Both had lackluster performances in the preseason.
-
McNair didn't practice a DAY for like a month and a half last year and still played MVP ball. That was when the Titans won like 12 out of 13. I believe he had multiple injuries: Back, toe, thumb, shoulder something like that.

OK, so my ESPN discipleship continues. After this ill be quiet. They are about to discuss this topic on SC. Its at a commercial right now. Watch it.
-
*sigh* OK im off my tirade. I was just excited when I saw all the ESPN people giving the Titans a verbal bj. Sorry, Rob. Im going to stop arguing.

Geez, didn't think we had so many Chief fans on this board. The Titans have averaged about 130 yards rushing the past 4 games by alternating 3 backs: George, Holcomb, and Brown. That is PLENTY enough for McNair. And what is with the McNair hate? He is by FAR the best player in the league. And no, that isn't even considered an opinion right now. Its a dead on fact. Why do you think it is so easy to stop the Titan offense. No one else has. They are one of three teams in history to score 30+ in 6 straight. And we've played much better defenses than KC in that stretch. Yeah, and I think the Chiefs would definately have lost had they played a schedule that isn't ranked last in the league. Pats and Colts are perfectly acceptable losses considering they are the 3rd and 4th best teams in the league. Titan D>Chief D Titan WR=Chief WR Titans actually have better receiving numbers. Holmes SLIGHTLY>Overall Titan rushing McNair>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Green. That is all that matters right now.
-
The Chiefs aren't nearly as good as the Raiders were. And the Titans are much better now anyways.
-
You just wait till the AFC title game. Just wait. MVP McNair will shread that horrible excuse for a defense and the Titan D will sack that horrible excuse for a QB 10 times. AFC Title: Titans 42-Chiefs 17 Eh, sounds about right.
-
ESPN is pretty much the only sports channel I watch and they seemingly dedicated all their shows today to debate this argument. Thus my constant refering them.
-
AHA. The Chiefs have the WORST schedule in the NFL. They said so on the SBCS rankings on SC. They were still number one for record, but how can you defend that schedule.
-
The Titan D is playing as good, if not better than it did when it went to the SB. THIS TIME, however, they have an awesome offense and the NFL MVP.
-
Then watch the 6 ET SC. On the preview, they said they are gonna create a BCS for the NFL that will decide who the best is. Actually, if its a BCS type, then it'll probably have the Chiefs #1 due to record.
-
Lets see what these guys have to say about who is the best. The Bills aren't a good team, btw.
-
YESSSSSS!!! EAT THAT COLTS!!! WHO IS THE BEST TEAM IN THE SOUTH, NOT YOU BABY!!!!!!!
-
Titans FG. 31-0. 30+ points in 6 straight games. GO JAGS! Show those Colts they aren't that good and are gonna get mauled in Nashville.
-
Yes! Announcers(Kevin Harlan and Randy Cross) just said they have had 4 KC games and the Titans are the best team in the NFL. This is the most complete domination they have seen by one good team to another all year. 5 Miami turnovers. Wow.
-
Tru dat. The Vols have a good chance of going but Georgia has to lose. Even if UT passes them, they won't pass them by 5 spots. Go Auburn.
-
HAH!! Someone think again on those power ratings. My Jazz were predicted to lose as much as 65 games, but they went 7-1 in the preseason. People say its just the preseason, not big deal. What happens? They already have victories over Portland and now Minnesota. Harpring had 32 points and Ostertag had 21 rebounds as the Jazz "upset" the TWolves 93-88. Whos laughing now?
-
Get real, loser. *sniff*
-
Jazz 91-80 over Phoenix. They now have wins over TWolves, Portland, and the Suns. Also 7-1 in the preseason. Jazz vs. Lakers in Western Finals. Malone vs Utah. Thats what it looks like right now.
-
Ahem. Jazz 91- Phoenix 80. They are for real.
-
Naw, thats just what they were made to look like by the Jazz.
-
Jazz for NBA Champs and you know you want it
