Meh, I was just using the quoute he used on SD. I realize that obviously can't be true. For the record, I think Mr. America will interfere in the match to give Steph/Zack the victory.
-
Well, I would assume Vince (being the owner of the company and all) could overrule any decision made by the lesser GM's. Steph didn't know who Mr. America was before she signed him, and then tried to hide it from Vince. Vince didn't know who MA was, so he didn't bother getting involved. Gowen doesn't want to go to Raw because he wanted a SD contract from the moment he was born. He also doesn't want to be continuously mocked and ultimately jobbed to a certain you know wHHHo. See, maybe WWE logic isn't so bad. Well, at least not here.

I agree with the people who say a lot of these guys are just using natural muscle enhancers. No doubt, quite a few guys are on the juice, but not quite as many as listed here.

What TV/Movie Is Parodied/Paid Homage To The Most?

The Matrix I also see the Lady and the Tramp style kiss parodied quite a bit. -
I disagree with those. My memory may be a little fuzzy, but Chavo never seemed that big. Storm looks pretty natural, and Henry was an olympic athlete where they're tested constantly.

This thread reminded me of how much I used to love the Power Rangers. I don't think the show started to suck until Ninjor showed up. In 6th grade I decided to watch the show for the first time in about three years, but immediately quit once I saw the Rangers stuck in a giant pizza in an oven. I haven't seen anything about the Power Rangers since.

Hey, Tony is no guru of wrestling knowledge, but it's not hard to know more names than Jim "Unorthodox Manuver" Ross.

I never thought Schavonie was as bad as everyone says he is. Obviously, he wasn't anywhere near the best, but I don't think he's worse than JR today. His only major flaw was his total oversell of everything ("This is the most important ____ in the history of our sport"; "The NWO is out to kill somebody"; etc). However, JR does the exact same thing, but he doesn't know as many moves as Tony either. Another thing poor Tony had against him was a weak support crew. He didn't seem as bad with Heenan or even Tenay, but when he was paired with Dusty Rhodes, Stevie Ray, Mark Madden, Larry Zbysko, or Steve McMichael, he had no one to help him out. JR is in a similar situation with Lawler.

I think a 3-way team with Ross, Heyman, and Tenay would be great. Mike Tenay could be the compotent play-by-play guy while Ross and Heyman have their respective face and heel roles. That way, you would have someone calling the action and the other two fighting in the background.

154. Steiner holds the record for most belly-to-belly suplexes in one match.
-
"In fairness though, the fans shit on it right off the bat " That's because that's when the match started to suck. The fans probably didn't know too much about either guy and Booker and Buff clearly weren't used to the WWF sized rings. Booker got in a couple of kicks, then the chinlocks started. I really want to know what was going through their minds as the hate poured from the stands. Edit to include: "Who was that?" Hurricane, I think.
-
I wouldn't blame Bagwell for the whole angle failing, but certainly didn't get it started on the right foot. Come on, all you had to do was have a good 5-7 minute match with Booker T (who can hold his own) and you start using chinlocks a minute in to the match? As soon as the fans started chanting "this match sucks," you knew it was over for poor Buff.

152. Steiner hasn't had his music changed or been made to wear ridiculous new tights since joining WWE.
-
The bad part about Angle being a face, is it kills one of his strongest points: mic work. Kurt is natural at garnering cheap heat by mocking the local culture, but can also do good insense-style promos as well. As seen in 2001, Angle's mic work as a face is embarassing. Whether it's saying "it's ok to relieve yourself in your tights after the match," or "kicking dirt" on Haas and Benjamin, it's painfully apparent that Kurt just doesn't fit in a face role.

The main thing I can't stand about Orton is his use of the diamond cutter (or emerald cutter, as I've seen it called). Can't anybody come up with an original move nowadays?

98. Scott has never been referred to as "the creature from the planet Steiner."

Good Idea: Bringing back the U.S. title Bad Idea: Letting Bradshaw design the belt.

I'll take the Cowboys.

I missed this, what exactly did Lawler say? JR: I can't stand how these young stars hate America. JL: I don't know. What's the difference between them not liking us, and you not liking France. JR: It's not that I don't like France, I just don't like their attitudes. JL: Well, I bet they don't like your's either. JR: I don't give a damn what they think. Pretty much how it went down. The last line is real.

Come on now. Bad Blood certainly was a terrible show ,but not the worst ever. You still have KOTR (95 or 99), Uncensored (95, 96, or 99), any Road Wild event, and most 1999 WCW ppv's.

I can't do 10 off the top of my head, so here's my bottom 5: 5. The Scorpion King (riddled w/ Clichés and bad acting, and to think they're making a sequel!) 4. Scary Movie 2 (first one was pretty good, this one blew) 3. 3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain (You could actually put any Hulk Hogan movie here) 2. Freddy Got Fingered (how anyone could laugh with, not at, this travesty is beyond me) 1. Shadow of the Wolf (the less you know about this the better)

JR being hypocritical is nothing new. One of the only good things Lawler has done in months was make good ol' JR look stupid on his views of France. Maybe one day someone will call him out on something like this, and we can listen to him make a stupid excuse before he abruptly goes to another issue. Ironically, calling the match at hand is JR's favorite way to get out of these situations.
