Man, I'm kicking myself for not saving that 7/7 SD on my DVR. I'm gonna have to find that tape somewhere. I'll miss that music too. At least I still have my Hassan music ringtone. It's a damn shame he gets scapegoated in this situation, though. He got a pretty bad deal, whether you like him not.

"This lousy t-shirt" needs to be replaced with "The clap."

#1 and 4. The second one makes Edge sound like a rapist.

Sounds pretty interesting this week. I could do without Benoit Squashes OJ Part IV or ANTOHER LOD squash, but I am intrigued by the ME and Mysterio/Kennedy... ... Kennedy.

I agree to some extent. I think it's sort of like the whole debate about whether the legal driving age should be pushed back to 18 because kids under 18 have a much higher risk of accident... It's not the age, it's the fact that driving is a new concept for most teens and if you push the age back, you'll just see accident numbers go up for 18 year olds. Similarly, it doesn't matter how long anyone spends in OVW, it's still a huge change from OVW to mainstream WWE. Yeah, the new guys will make mistakes, but it's not because of the timing of their call-up, it's simply the dramatic change between the two atmospheres. The real problem lies in new guys getting too big of a push. Instead of getting time to hone their skills in the midcard, they get shoved into upper midcard or main event runs. However, that's the fault of the writers. They need to learn how to build someone up slowly and give them time to acclimate to their new setting.

Wrestlemania 17, 19, and 20 all felt like money well spent. As did Summer Slam 01. However, my luck with ppvs is generally not good. Throw these stinkers on the list of wasted money for me: Wrestlemania 15 Unforgiven 2000 Invasion Royal Rumble 02 Royal Rumble 04 (Loved Benoit winning, everything else sucked) And I was just inches away from buying the GAB this year... I felt dirty for even considering that idea afterwards.

I ordered a TNA weekly ppv with the Ultimate X match... Don't remember who was in it, AJ Styles and some other people. The rest of the show wasn't too impressive either and turned me off from TNA forever. For WWE, Judgment Day 02 left a bad taste in my mouth. JR/King calling the whole show despite it being 2 brands... HHH burying Jericho in HIAC (though to be fair, the match itself wasn't bad)... Rikishi and Rico winning the tag titles... And the god-awful Hogan/UT match *shudder*

I really, really hope MNM gets the belts back here. Jobbing them out to LOD 2005 doesn't help anyone. And how long does OJ have to keep jobbing to Benoit? I like Benoit and all, but I'd rather watch him work real matches against different opponents.

Am I the only one who thinks Hassan and Daivari should come back and destroy Palmer Canon? I think that would be funny.
-
Yeah, that match was Jackie Gayda bad. Ashley holds the record of worst sunset flip in history. I don't know why the last straw was berating a divas match, when the article makes it sound like he talked down to established wrestlers prior to this.

Patriots win easily on Thursday. I understand the logic of putting the SB champs in the opening game, but the Raiders? The Patriots have games against the Colts and Steelers, so why Oakland gets this spot is beyond me. Well, actually, I have a pretty good idea, but I'd like to think there's a better reason than "They got Randy Moss." I am interested in the Colts/Ravens, Eagles/Falcons, and Chiefs/Jets games.

Not a good looking card. You can probably add Shelton vs. Kerwin as well as The Super Heros vs. Michael Madsen from Kill Bill and Larry the Cable Guy.
-
You know you're a shitty WR when you get cut by the freaking Chiefs... Yeah, they have a kick-ass offense, but they'll probably start Eddie Kennison and Sammie Parker as the 1 and 2's.

Smackdown/Velocity Non-Spoiler Match Listing

How do you get two cards so different? I hope the second one is right, though. -
Great spots from Wrestling Video Games

I was watching 2 of my friends play SD vs. Raw in an elimination chamber. They were obviously the final 2, as Jimmy Snuka and Tajiri. It was actually pretty crappy until the finish where Tajiri hit the Buzzsaw kick and Snuka bladed... In real time it looked like Tajiri kicked all of Snuka's teeth out. -
I don't buy the Colts going to the SB either. I actually hope they lose at Foxboro again.

Can we talk about the Trade a little more?
Just John replied to claydude14's topic in The WWE Folder
I think the main reason they did it was to switch up their Raw/SD magazine diva pictorals. -
I hope they don't re-use the Blue Meanie/JBL finish from 6 weeks ago for the Funaki match.
-
I think Christian and/or Booker get tossed into the US title match, and MNM get the belts back from Heidenreich/Animal. I could also see a possible ppv Masterlock Challenge with the Big Show (or at least I hope so for the sake of my fantasy team).
-
When 20 or so guys were left total, they all had to congregate in the middle ring and proceed to fight.
-
I like the No DQ/No Holds Barred/Street Fights, whatever you want to call them. I also enjoy a good spotfest ladder match now and again.

Great spots from Wrestling Video Games

In No Mercy, I was fighting Cactus Jack in a hardcore match as Muhammad Hassan (CAW). Foley was being a bitch and kept getting barbed wire 2x4's. So when I got the upper hand, I stacked all the barbed wire 2x4's I could find onto the announce table and gave him the Crimson Jihad (flatliner) through all of it for the win. -
Rey Mysterio's son suffering "emotional distress"
Just John replied to UZI Suicide's topic in The WWE Folder
Like I said, Rey should never be allowed to write again. I can't believe he thought this was a good idea. -
This reminds me of Konnan's rant back in the day. "Those NWO black and white strawberries are for life, but somos unos vatos locos (we are some crazy guys?) for ever!" Then it degenerates into talk about salad tossing...

Christian gets buried anytime he's anywhere near Batista. No surprise there. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Or anyone for that matter. Since coming to SD, he's only beaten Funaki clean and Booker by cheating. He's lost clean to JBL (in the 6 way), Booker, Rey, and Batista twice. Christian is the epitome of JTTS.
