Maybe Holly could come up with a less generic finisher. Does Shawn get pissed off when someone like Shelton or Nitro uses the superkick?

The Guy You Like Who Actually Sucks
Just John replied to Team Angle Pusher's topic in General Wrestling
Can't believe I forgot Nash. Back in the mid-90's he wasn't a total slug in the ring, but I still liked him long after his prime had passed. He's always been good in a speaking role. -
Nah, I wouldn't wait that long. Maybe a couple months at the most. Establish some guy as corporate stooge for Magnus to feud with right away. Might as well capitalize on the worked-shoot craze now while it's still hot.

Killing someone should be the new GAB tradition. And this would be better than UT just squashing him. Still think moving him to Raw is the most painless solution, but this is the best idea for getting rid of him. Although, most of the people who support Hassan being "killed off" would also most likely be offended by what you proposed, which is essentially a lynching.

Don't know why people are saying Scott Hall. He wasn't really bad, save for his 2002 run. As for me: Gene Snitsky John Cena Meng Bryan Clarke Stevie Ray (mainly for comedy value) -
Kill off his character? God... Not even move him to Raw, not tone him down, just kill him off? This shit is just one overreaction after another.

I was thinking feuds with Benoit, Eddie, Rey, JBL, and possibly Lesnar. An Angle feud would be great, but Shelton's character is getting killed in the midcard now with his dead end feud with Carlito. Either he loses repeatedly and looks like a total loser, or he wins the IC belt and goes back to where he was a month ago. There's not as much room for upward mobility on Raw with guys like HHH, HBK, Hogan, and the designated future, John Cena already crowding the ME scene. I didn't think it sounded that crazy. Not that I'd do it out of nowhere, but given the circumstances here... But maybe I'm wrong.

Trade Hassan for Shelton. That, or just say "fuck you" to UPN and keep putting him on every week. UPN's given WWE enough shit like making them cut their show a half hour short for The Mullets or moving SD to Fridays. Keep putting Hassan on tv and have him take shots at UPN for wanting him kicked off the air. Call UPN a racist network and stuff.

Great spots from Wrestling Video Games
Just John replied to Rob E Dangerously's topic in Video Games
I was doing a triple threat ladder match the other day with my CAW (William Wallace) against my friend's CAW (The Punisher) and my brother's CAW (Black Dragon). So, the ladder is set up in the middle of the ring. I whip Black Dragon into the ropes then leap frog him so he runs into the ladder. I then follow up with a snap belly-to-back suplex and do my get-up taunt (back somersault), only to get with a low blow from The Punisher who then snap belly-to-backed me. It doesn't sound as good as it was. Just so fluid... It looked like a planned spot. -
The best match I've seen Carlito in was his first match against Cena, which is sad. It probably wasn't even that good, but at least I was interested in his character at that point. I don't mind him talking, but like pretty much everyone else has said, his wrestling leaves much to be desired. Oh, and he DESPERATELY needs new tights. His current tights are gay at best.

They were heading into a fatal four way match with Luger and The Giant, and the winner got a shot at the World title.

Mysterio/Crazy sounds good and Booker/Simon could be interesting. The rest doesn't look that great, and it looks like I'll have to get most of my fantasy points on the ppv. Although, hopefully Eddie beats that jobber for a little bonus.

I can't believe I forgot these two priceless "acronym" signs... Nash Was Oz And my favorite seen on Thunder... Terry Bollea Sucks

I love the reactions from Booker and Sherri. Booker just buries his face in his hands as it's apparent that the fact that he fucked up hit him like a ton of bricks while Sherri breaks character and laughs. I still don't know how Gene and Stevie Ray kept straight faces.
-
Ray Mysterio is another sad one.

I haven't seen his new gimmick yet, but the French sympathizer ran its course a long time ago. I can't imagine his new gimmick is much worse.

They should call Hassan's move the Crimson Jihad.

Why do the cameras even zoom in on incorrectly spelled signs? Most of them are so markish you would think there's another sign with a similar (yet correctly spelled) message somewhere in the crowd. GOAR is my favorite.

They didn't really hook up, it was just Fry's amateur holophone composition... though I guess anything could be left to the viewer's imagination. That's as far as I took it though. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> In the parallel universe episode, it's very strongly suggested (though not 100%) that she agrees to go out with him. It wasn't the last episode, but it was pretty close to the end and I thought the end of Fry's opera just confirmed it.

That's funny 'cause it's true. Sadly, the midcard singles title is held by a heel and there's no logical feud for Conway at this point. And we know how good the writers are at giving characters direction...

I don't think anyone here is saying Cena is the best choice, as I'm sure many here would like to see Jericho or Angle holding the belt. But the fact is having someone who is incredibly over holding the title is generally good business. It creates interest in the title, title feuds, and draws in the casual fan. I found this part of your post particularly interesting... There was a guy in the 80's like that... Hulk Hogan, I think. Good thing they never let that guy hold a title You need to realize that the majority of the PAYING fanbase does like John Cena, and that in business terms, WWE is doing the right thing by keeping the belt on him. If the fans buy his merchandise or watch shows that he's on, Vince would be an idiot to NOT keep him in the spotlight.

For comparrison, I watched the Pillman show match again and I think it's about 1/4* to 1/2* better than the Velocity match. The Velocity match re-used a ton of spots from the Pillman match (even the hardway blood on the headbutt exchange). Normally, I would oppose this, but since the majority of fans haven't been exposed to the Pillman match, it's alright. The only thing I liked better about the Pillman match was that they just used a few extra moves. Benoit used the apron DDT and rolling Germans, and Regal busted out the top-rope butterfly suplex. It still had the same intensity and focus as the Velocity, but seemed to flow a little better with more moves worked in. Velocity: *** 1/2 (still probably the #3-4 WWE match of the year) Pillman: leaning towards **** (one of Regal's best matches)

Good, get him out of that awful gimmick. I've heard good things about him as singles wrestler, so I look forward to his push.

A basic double underhook suplex is the same as a butterfly suplex. Butterfly is more specific, as a double underhook can be used to set up lots of moves. A dragon and full nelson suplex are the same thing. A tiger suplex is completely different. It wasn't used in the Benoit/Regal match. Ultimo used to use it as a finisher in WCW. You hook the arms from behind (like the start of an unprettier) then bridge back driving your opponents neck and head to the mat with their shoulders pinned. It looks impossible to kick out of. I've never seen a chicken wing suplex. I'm only familiar with the chicken wing as a submission (hammer lock and crossface). I imagine if such a move were to be done, it would be sick.

Every time I see Dennis Hopper, I always think of Frank Booth. It's also hard for me to think of any wrestlers in movies as anything but their wrestling persona.
